Sweet T:

, investigations revealed that the bank is headed for the rocks and employee will soon start losing their jobs. There is a strong feeling that wema bank is not the only bank going through this problems, there are so many Nigerian banks that are cooking their books. I hope some of you that has account with wema will be wise enough to start withdrawing their money.

Na u make d investigations?na wah o sad

Sweet T:

I'm not surprise at wema's problems at all. Any organizations headed by the Ekitis always end up like this, look at Ekiti state on its own. If you are wise enough and want to keep your hard earned money, steer clear of wema and intercontinental banks. They are bunch of fakes.

I wonder how you handle conversations wit people out there;i pity the people who have to bear your strident goat-peals all in the name of making urself heard.What has ekiti got to do wit banking?see me see trouble o! If u really have nothing mature to post why dont u migrate to sites where pple like u go: child-porn sites.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Indian, Chinese, Lebanese Companies Treat Us Like Slaves by SOJ(m): 11:32am On Jan 23, 2008
maybe u should ask urself how much they pay THIER OWN FOLK,eh?Asian labor is one of the cheapest in the world hence they are prime spots for outsourcing.They wouldnt treat a Nigerian differently as long as he/she is a "laborer" with them. So dont give them a blanket judgement and say they oppress Nigerians abeg.They dont see it that way.Infact, ask any one working with an Asian and they will tell you dat Nigerians are lazy and like to get paid for not working.They will also tell you dat Nigerians like to spend on dressing and image and dont care for important issues. So what do u say to that?
Asians are known globally for thier industry, what are Nigerians known for,eh? tongue

Business / Re: 'Chinese Formular' For Baking Bread? by SOJ(m): 10:54am On Jan 23, 2008
naijaking1:

No credence should be given to such 'carton' stories.

I remember a long time ago, somewhere in Imo state, there were 2 competing bakers.

One learnt the secret of using lot of shortening/butter in his bread, while the other relied on his vast family business name for success.

The guy who learnt to use lots of butter in his formular started out-selling his more famous competitor as you would expect.

After, a few years the rumor began going around that the guy using more butter in his bread was being assisted by witchcraft using human body parts.

A stupid story, but likely to get a hearing in naija, because of illiteracy.

If you ask me, I would say, if cartons, body parts, chinese juju, whatever makes bread better and cheaper and approved by the health department, then use it!

na wah o, the way some people reason sef
here's to people who give opinions like push-cart laborers! tongue

Our ostentatious life style is part of the problem,80% of the average owner of a bakery has either more than 1 wife or sires many children.

His income is more does not match his expenditure,so he has to complain,however we must also confess that govt policies is killing business unless you are ready to cut corners,which i believe thats what the chinese do and also they cut cost with their standard of living and doing business.in business we call it optimisation

Romance / Re: Are Nigerian Guys Romantic by SOJ(m): 2:48pm On Jan 22, 2008
ruudgal:

I'm sorry to say this ladies but this really has to be said,

Romance ii believe is subject to the value a man places on you,

if he doesnt jump out of the car just to open the door for you, it may be because you make statements like "what a man can do, "

We feel its ok to tell guys what to do to please us in bed, and yet we don't let them know how we want to be treated out of it,

There are Nigerian men, who value women and romance them equally, i know, i have 2 as brothers, and i have dated 3 in this short life

We just watch too many american movies and assume romance equals flowers, keys to a new car or diamond necklaces, Dont you know in yankee they have 28days to return those gifts if they still ahve the receipt??

we look for the grande gestures adn fail to see the little gestures such as him calling us last thing before he goes to bed even though he is tired and just wnats to sleep, or romantic acts like calling us in the middle of the day toi say, Make sure you keep your stomach empty, we going out for dinner,

it doesnt have to be keys to a car, or a weekend in jamaica, if he attempts, ofcourse i wont object, but if you don't value the little things, how is he suppose to WOW you with the grand things,

Think about it

This is some intelligent post;our naija ladies should read this thoroughly.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Insight Communications Interview by SOJ(m): 2:26pm On Jan 22, 2008
@scolfireld
LOL. u sure right!

@ all
calls av already begun to be made to successful candidates.Insight Comm is a very creative and "dramatic" organisation (see their funny Ignis adverts).So its in line for them 2 call the next stage a "semifinal"LOL. but really what they did initially was to "weed" out unsuitable candidates.This stage is the most important:u have to have a combination of the skills u expressed at the other interview stages cos it'll matter.above all,be urself and be confident.
Business / Re: 'Chinese Formular' For Baking Bread? by SOJ(m): 1:31pm On Jan 22, 2008
@naijaking
u r so wrong.although i'm at the risk of making excuses for Nigerian bakers,this IS the real situation here.

@Seun
My argument is dat the chinese operate in the same environment with us BUT with better leverage.They av the full support( moral,financial and otherwise) of their govt while Nigerian bakers here av little or nothing.The chinese dont bake any better only dat they operate with more resources at their disposal.Note that we face this problem in the textile and leather industries too.
There are great Nigerian bakers out there but the chinese may just be a step ahead o

@zheroes
now thats scary shocked

Business / Re: 'Chinese Formular' For Baking Bread? by SOJ(m): 10:19am On Jan 22, 2008
The chinese dont use anything special my friend.They have a govt who gives them almost 0% interest loans to establish businesses in emerging economies:dats their secret.Nigerian bakers here have to contend with rising cost of flour and other materials, crazy import duties and related fees on foreign baking machinery and equipment, and last but not the least, our very own dismal power supply.add it all 2geda and see if dats not enough to increase cost of production.infact nigerians should prepare for increases in cost of baked goods soon.
Much later in this quarter, if the rising cost of energy finally impacts Nigeria, and gas refuses to be circulation, we should expect close to 15-20% increases.
