NYSC › Re: After NYSC, What's Next For Me? by sonofthunder: 4:02am On Jun 29, 2023 |
Otimaxamito: Good day everyone, I will be needing your candid advice here, I will be rounding up my one year mandatory service very soon. Though the journey has been stressful because I served as an assistant lecturer in one private institution but thank God I was able to saved up to about #200,000. And as we are all aware, there is this particular question every Kopas do ask during this moment of our time which is: What Is Next After NYSC? Meanwhile, my plans are as follows:
1. Getting a shop and start doing business, though renting a shop for a year here is about #150,000 and the business I want to venture into his phone accessory business. BUT MY QUESTION HERE IS WILL #50,000 BE ENOUGH TO START A PHONE ACCESSORY BUSINESS?
2. Seeking to be retained where I served so as to save up better, though the paying is quite low, even below the minimum wage BUT MY QUESTION IS DOES IT WORTH THE STRESS OF A UNIVERSITY GRADUATE TO BE EARNING BELOW THE MINIMUM WAGE?
3. Combining the two together as in, working in the institution and resuming back to my shop after the working hours which should be around 3 p.m. BUT MY QUESTION IS WON'T THAT AFFECT MY PERSONAL BUSINESS, WON'T MY CUSTOMERS THINK I AM NONCHALANT TO MY BUSINESS? I think the shop idea is a brilliant one. Try and raise additional money. If the school idea doesn't work, you may end up spending from your savings, also if you get another job to save up for business, make sure either it's a good job, or try not to be caught up in the rat race. God bless your efforts. |

jceesquare: Don't take my comment serious. But on a serious note, do those brand of phones last that long and retain good market value? 5 years is a lot for an Android phone with the ever changing updates and upgrades, not to talk of a Chinese midrange phone. Lasting long depends on care and usage.... Market value is never strong actually and there's never an option for OS updates |

I'm sorry that I have to create this post. From my previous post, some people have adviced me to edit my post to indicate my state of residence Incase of an assistant, but I tried to edit, and I'm not giving the access maybe because it was pushed to front page. That's why I created this. After much thought and advice, I have decided not to relocate to the village with my husband and it's not a violence situation.
This is not an act of disrespect either, but I want to be strong for my children. The only issue I have now, is how to secure a cheaper accommodation and I'm sure between now and new year, I will work harder to meet up with next rent. Pls, should you have any way you can be of help, pls Help us. I'm in Abuja. Thank you @KOMBE, @valentineuwakwe, @eminikansoso Have you discussed with your husband what could change/happen that would encourage him to stay back in the city with you and the children. |

The only thing that can stop Ronaldo from scoring is retirement.... Portugal should fix their next three friendlies against Indonesia, Caracao and maybe Sao Tome and Principe make Ronaldo see like 12 goals. The paddling and FIFA hypocrisy is glaring for all to see. Allow them to bury their heads in the sand. |

I meant that the shock of having to be forced to accept what she didn't plan to live with will actually be traumatising for her. Of course I will personally advice to treat them nicely, because the man himself has been really nice and responsible to her all along. Another important question is why did he leave his first marriage? (Hope I didn't miss that in the op). Is he formally divorced from the first wife? |

OfoIgbo: Tinubu only suspended Emefiele because he made it very difficult for Tinubu to rig the past election without leaving a lot of evidence, which is why Peter Obi now has a lot of evidence against Tinubu.
Obi is obviously the role model of Tinubu, to the extent that Tinubu abandoned his agbado proposals in preference for Peter Obi's fuel subsidy removal and other nice policies Lol keep living in denial.... Hope he finds his manhood though.... Cheers!!! |
Politics › Re: Why Are Obidients Saying Tinubu Stole Their Manifesto? by sonofthunder: 1:14pm On Jun 15, 2023 |
OfoIgbo: Peter Obi was already talking about the need to remove subsidy long before Tinubu's team stole that idea and included in Tinubu's manifesto.
When Peter Obi was talking about subsidy removal, single exchange rate policy and cutting the cost of government, Tinubu was busy telling us about his wish to recruit 50 million Nigerian youths into the military and feeding them agbado. Go & VERIFY
What happened was that when Tinubu's team witnessed how Peter Obi's message was being wonderfully received by the people, they added it to Tinubu's manifesto, which they later released. In this Tinubu's manifesto, Tinubu's team did not add their original proposal of recruiting 50 million kids and feeding them agbado, as it wasn't well received by Nigerians. They made a bold move to steal and adopt Peter Obi's policies which PO had been talking about, long before APC released its manifesto You lie like your Pandora boss. I followed the campaigns and interviews relatively well sir. Peter Obi did not do anything special. PO and his Vice said their solution to insecurity is inside their head. Hope if Tinubu does something now you won't say he stole it from The fraudulent PO? You are just spilling loads of falsehood. So if Tinubu stole Obi's manifesto, are you concluding that's he is steering the country alright or you are angry that the population is gravitating towards him. I'm sure if Nigerians reject these policies, you will curse BAT with your guts. Was it PO that also suggested students loan, and suspending emefiele et efcc boss? Go back and get your timeline right, PO did not promise subsidy removal before BAT. Being vocal doesn't mean you are the first to issue said statement. |
Webmasters › Re: How Can You Earn A Huge Income As A Freelance Web Developer by sonofthunder: 8:06am On Jun 15, 2023 |
ajinkalkumari: In recent years, the demand for freelance web developers has skyrocketed as businesses increasingly recognize the importance of a strong online presence. This surge in demand presents an excellent opportunity for skilled web developers to earn a substantial income while enjoying freelance work's flexibility and independence. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore strategies and insights on how you can leverage your web development skills to maximize your earning potential as a freelancer.
Master Your Skills: To become a freelance web developer and command higher rates, enhancing and refining your skills is essential. Keep updated with the latest web development technologies, programming languages, and frameworks. Expand your knowledge in responsive design, user experience (UX), and search engine optimization (SEO). By becoming a specialist in a specific field, you can deliver high-quality work that meets clients' needs, and it sets you apart from the competition.
Build a Strong Portfolio: A well-curated portfolio is crucial for attracting clients and demonstrating your capabilities as a freelance web developer. Showcase a diverse range of projects that highlight your technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Include details about the challenges you faced and how you overcame them. Consider developing personal projects or contributing to open-source projects to strengthen your portfolio further. A compelling portfolio will instill confidence in potential clients and increase your chances of securing high-paying projects.
Define Your Niche: Specializing in a specific niche can help you stand out and target clients who value your expertise. Consider focusing on an industry or technology, such as e-commerce websites, mobile app development, or content management systems. You can command higher fees and attract clients willing to pay a higher price for specialized knowledge and skills if you position yourself as an expert in a given sector.
Market Yourself Effectively: To earn a good income as a freelance web developer, you must promote yourself effectively. Make a professional website highlighting your abilities, portfolio, and client testimonials. Improve your online presence by optimizing your website for search engines. Leverage social media platforms, online communities, and professional networking events to bring together potential clients and peers in the sector. Develop a solid personal brand and consistently demonstrate your expertise through blog posts, guest articles, or speaking engagements. Cultivate positive client relationships and ask for referrals to expand your network and attract high-paying projects.
Price Your Services Strategically: Determining your rates can be challenging as a freelance web developer. Conduct market research to learn about industry norms and rates for comparable services. Consider factors such as your experience, expertise, the complexity of the project, and client budget when setting your prices. Initially, you may need to be flexible and adjust your rates as you build your reputation. When you get more experience and build a solid portfolio, gradually increase your rates to reflect the value you bring to clients. Remember to value your skills and expertise, which can lead to burnout and undermine your earning potential.
Cultivate Long-Term Client Relationships: Developing long-term customer connections is one of the secrets to earning a good income as a freelance web developer. Satisfied clients who trust your work will likely provide repeat business and refer you to others. Foster assertive communication skills, actively listen to client's requirements, and complete projects on time and under budget. Provide excellent customer service and go above and beyond to fulfill client expectations. Building a solid reputation for reliability, professionalism, and quality work will contribute to a steady stream of high-paying projects.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends: The field of web development is constantly evolving, with new technologies and trends emerging regularly. It is crucial to stay updated with industry advancements to remain competitive and relevant. Invest time in continuous learning, attend conferences, participate in webinars, and join professional associations or online communities. By staying abreast of the latest trends, you can offer cutting-edge solutions to clients, positioning yourself as a valuable resource and attracting higher-paying projects.
Conclusion:
As a freelance web developer, earning a significant income is within reach if you employ the right strategies and continuously invest in your skills and professional growth. Mastering your craft, building a strong portfolio, defining your niche, effective marketing, strategic pricing, cultivating client relationships, and staying updated with industry trends – all these elements contribute to maximizing your earning potential. Malory: Did Tinibu stick to his own manifesto or is he copying what Obi proposed in his own? Go and read his manifesto then come back and tell us what BAT has done that isn't in his manifesto which was even released before PO who claimed there's no need for manifesto. PO and Atiku actually avoided all questions on subsidy removal until BAT said it must go. Go and verify. |

omooba969: Have to make the right choice. 🙂 So the choice became wrong after allowing them to "run through him/her"? Most people obviously don't consider the totality of the consequences of their actions and think they are enjoying "life" You can discard wrong life partners without raking up a large number of relationships/sexual-partners. What we all need is to undergo the pain of discipline rather than the pain of regret. |

omooba969: Do you agree with such study? Yes.... I believe their claims are valid and it makes sense psychologically due to how we garner up human expectations and make comparisons in terms of finances, looks, taste, complexion, sexual prowess, etc. It also emphasises a core lack of discipline and a likelihood to "runaway"..... Else why didn't "you" settle with one of your previous partners until their growing numbers became a list? |
