How is it that in this day and age parents are still able to manipulate their kids?
I dont get it. its different if your parents find out something earth shattering about your intended but i dont understand how they can demand you end a relationship based on her age, her tribe, her looks or some other ridiculous flimsy reason. Dudes have to stand up and severe that umbilical cord and have a mind of their own. We all know that sometimes parents have their own selfish agendas and desperately try to relive their lives through their kids. I took my husband home to my parents after we had already decided to get married. Even if my folks didnt like him i was going to do it anyway. He wasnt from my tribe, and according to some he was too young and too good looking!!  
Luckily for them they loved him right away. I would have married him without them being there if i had to.
