sage:and isnt it the christians who should know better that sin or bad behaviour is not exclusive to one gender. they both carry equal weight in the eyes of God despite the gender of the culprit. if men and women of God are biased in this regard then we are all done for! |
salsera:ive been hellishly busy. up to my eyelids in work.no time for nairaland. good to be back. |
frankiriri:yep. that's how i like it too. we cant afford to waste the sticks that float. ![]() |
i still dont understand why a pregnant girl shouldnt not be allowed to graduate. having a child on the way with or without a husband should not prevent a woman from getting an education. "its a christian school"! "its a christian school", people have been bleating. so christian schools are now courts of judgement where sins cannot be forgiven? depriving her of that education doesnt in anyway redeem her from her 'sins' or offer her salvation. so if the punishment does her no good why is it dished out? to make a public spectacle of her? to ridicule and humiliate her and make an unforgetable example of her? it only remains to bring out the stones to start pelting her. it reminds me very much of the self righteous pharisees of old. im still waiting for an answer of what happens to the men who pregnate women. the rules are often very silent about that. |
PTH:i have to ask my oga's express permission first before i can catalogue our journey. the guy is shy. ![]() |
seems to me that its almost unanimous that female circumcision is archaic and out dated so how come its still being done? who are these people still hacking up their daughters? ![]() |
that means mary the mother of Jesus would have been driven away from this school back in the day! ![]() just a thought to ponder on! |
overload of green! |
Chiekezi:i dont know about that oh! they seem to fall for the same kind of women over and over again. the 'good' ones |
Obirin0521:more laughs when you return from that one. good luck. ![]() |
ekabo! (welcome) you'll become addicted to nairaland in no time. that i promise you! you'll make friends and lots of enemies. yep we lock horns a lot. |
this is an old thread but i had to respond. trust me the person you were chatting with is probably a man chatting from a business center. they learnt to chat as women so be warned! |
so pregnant women cant attend this school? what if they are married? ![]() |
wifeypenth:does the milk from a tattoed boob taste bitter? ![]() |
blue-sky:abi oh! maybe she's that passionate about her idol rihanna. |
Obirin0521:hehehehe. funny as heck. "as long as rigour mortis hasn't set in"! (that's my own contribution)anyway i hear that naija babes are now using guys over here to cross over to be with their real loves! this whole thing is getting i'nterestinger' and 'interestinger'. obirin i hope your friend wont get it into her head to give him a second chance.even a dog does not go back to its vomit. seriously 6o is the new 40. i atimes close my eyes and wonder at the old, much younger me. i was erratic as hell and so removed from reality. looking back now i wonder what guys saw in me. now i like to think i am the complete package in looks (i look better than i did 10 years ago), in attitude and general out look toward men i think any man would be silly not to pick the present me. its not always about youth. obirin i remembered how you said you were all herded into the room. i remembered this in the office and burst out laughing. i would have dug in my heels like an obstinate mule and refused to move. she would have had to drag me by the ears screaming to take me away from all the guys. ![]() we have to come up with another idea of how you can meet good naija men. prison maybe? i watched a documentary about how women visit men in prison and start dating them.drastic situations need drastic measures. those men are usually humble and faithful. (till they get out) ![]() |
thats why it's called a mistake. gosh! everything is possible. |
i dey sell. ![]() |
Seun:seun cool down oh! do you know how many nigerians have their families in the u.s and arent being paid in dollars? if that was the criteria then a lot of us would be receiving our wages in foreign currency. ![]() |
dakmanzero:jewel irrelevant? to who? you? quit playing. her market is sooooooooooooo different from the market that only wants to see boobs and not hear real vocals. and oh, for every madonna that makes it because she takes off her clothes, a thousand others too numerous to name fizzled out like cheap soda! ![]() |
Obirin0521:i agree with you. seems that naija guys have been deluded into thinking that girls in naija are better than girls living over here. they go home after years to carry a perceived innocent. ![]() its baffling. why would you forsake the girls here who you know to go for the ones you know next to nothing about? one chosen for you by your aunties? or your mummy? [s]is it me or do they end up marrying the town slut who's reputation stinks to the high heavens. [/s] ? na God go save person. ![]() |
sorry. you cant seperate a song from its singer. once a musician makes a video (which they arent obliged to do) they put themselves out there for criticism. she's young and impressionable. at this point they are usually 'packaged' and put on the market in a way their managers think will appeal to the general public especially the young. they really dont have their own style yet. we've seen this before. the brittanys and co. sex sells. arse cheeks on display translates into higher record sales. its affectionately called bubble gum pop. it doesnt last. a young starlet should focus on belting out the vocals and keeping her clothes on. rihanna is beautiful and sounds good. i wonder why her clothes are coming off. ![]() i guess she'll do whatever to keep her contract. i really cant reconcile this 'new' rihanna to the young likeable kid who was imported from barbados. entertainment claims another innocent. |
ha. obirin, im laughing so hard. gosh my sides hurt! i guess what you experienced is typical. its expected when you put yourself in a group of women who have been 'privileged' to join the high class of married women. seriously you should have stuck to the room full of guys! isnt that why you came? i dont think you were obliged to troop into the room full of women. you came for the dudes! the talk in a room full of women is always steered towards kids, pr-eschools, teething powder and the best dish washing liquid to tackle oily plates, pots and pans! ![]() you told them you were waiting for some of their marriages to fail? get out of town!!!!! ![]() that's hecka funny. i guess when people try to put you down, you can defend yourself in the best way you know how. and i hope you left in a huff ![]() |
she shouldnt have to pay the salary back. it was already approved and thats not her problem. but this should be a lesson. no one is above the law. i know salaries are determined somewhat by location. she cant be living in nigeria and be getting paid what someone who lives in the u.s and spends in the u.s receives. that makes it very unbalanced. |
because you are president doesnt make you infalliable! it doesnt mean you can make or break rules at will. those salaries that got approved were salaries nigeria could ill afford to pay! |
because that salary was approved by the president doesnt mean it was right in the first place. does she have 2 heads? |
why was she paid in dollars in the first place? was she working for the united states government? ![]() [s]and with all that money na ABC wax the woman dey wear! [/s] |
at least touts will attend. ![]() |
