You are not educated if you don't know this and it is darkness. Nigerians are the most poorly educated people on earth. If I were govt i would even have an agency that channels at least 50% of all donor funds into these schemes. This money is going to micro ENTERPRISES that sell Indomie, sugar, suya, garri, beans, rice. How is this bad for the economy?. Dangote lives it, Nestle loves it, Cadbury and Friesdland love it.
They pay people for being out if work, too old to work in advanced economies ..we are paying people who have petty businesses, so our case is even better. Most of them are not in the financial system and this is an opportunity to integrate them in our finanvial system.

Actually, even giving cash at polling booths is very very difficult to prove as vote buying. If there are laws against vote buying, those laws have to be the most IDIOTIC in the world. I actually want to see people arrested and tried successfully vote buying in Nigeria, it must that their lawyers are very dumb.

In any case, most SIP projects in Nigeria are commendable and will get Buhari elected. They are deflationary for the economy and they stimulate demand. Nigeria has spent over 60 trillion naira empowering billionaires over the last 18 years and all they have done with it is create losses, failed banks, failed industries ...lets try to empower the other side. At least they will increase aggregate demand that will spur growth.

Amechi was cheated during primaries of PDP. Omehia was imposed as PDP candidate, contested and won as governor, was in office for almost two years before being removed by the court on the basis that he did not win the primaries of PDP legally. The judgement did not give the office to any other party but same PDP but it changed the governor.
This judgement only worked based on the reasoning thst the party OWNS the seat or office. We actually vote party when we go put to vote.
When you switch parties after winning the seat, you are breaking two contracts, one with your party and the other with the electorate.

It's the party. The mandate is entrusted to a person. If you leave the party you resign your seat and INEC should conduct a bye-election
