I think this is a golden opportunity for youths in this country. Believe me 80% of popular established politicians in Nigeria are going. It is not Buhari doing it. GOD is doing it. I foresee new parties and unknown guys winning lots of seats. |
Thank GOD. That political career is finished. Ekweremadu is sweating in EFCC. He won't be a politician after tonight. |
When a human rights campaigner starts arrogating some knowledge of what security chiefs are incompetent then you know Nigeria is a bullshit country. People just verbalize trash out of ignorance and if it comes out in good English some people agree. The country has infestation of criminals hiding in the bush who kill and RUN away. So it is partly terrorism, partly ethnic clashes and partly mischief making by politicians. The military chiefs are on top of it and clashes seem to be moving from Benue up to Zamfara...do there is a pattern. Terrorists struck UK, French and German cities serially and repeatedly, what we did not hear was some jobless "bloody civilian " commentators who have never held a rifle spewing trash. These same empties almost blocked Nigeria buying most modern COIN aircraft few months ago out of ignorance and spite. |
Amumaigwe:80% hate Buhari when contesting against GEJ, only 50% will hate him against a northern candidate. Maybe some will just stay home. Buhari will get at least 25% in 30 states and win majority in 24 states. This will be a landslide. |
Crocky23:To believe this story, you need to convince yourself at a deep level that this is possible. This is my problem. (I) It takes a lot of ignorance and modest IQ to believe senators will raise the numbers and even northern senators in the PDP will join the moves, (Ii) not to know that impeachment of President is a very long process with many steps is also a sign of intellectual laziness (iii) because it is mostly long and rancorous, impeachment proceedings will take out the Senate for a long time. They will actually close it down and Nigeria will be a dictatorship. I think guys need to brush up on things and stop showing Nairaland as a place where amateurs just post rubbish.. Impeachment is NOT a political process. It is aTRIAL of the head of the executive for a series of OFFENCES that are impeachable or due to mental illness where the Presidents appointed ministers actually have to say the "man is mad". Even corruption and abuse of powers may eventually not be impeachable in practice. It was impossible to impeach GEJ a minority tribe President because it would not even be true and fair. No Nigerian President including this one has actually ever committed impeachable offences. You need to know what impeachable offences are. If you want to discuss politics do so with ,maturity. It is not kid stuff. |
PDP WILL never get block votes anymore. Those votes in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta were always rigged anyway. Delta has Itsekiri, Isoko, Urhobo and many even many Ijaws singing new tunes. There will be two Fulanis on the ballot. The devil you know (Buhari) who won't finish the treasury before the Presidency goes to the East is better than the corrupt devil who will do two terms and hand over back to a Yoruba man. Temporal hatred for Buhari is not enough for sophisticated politics |
Henry240:Completely forgot. I will post the pictures I have soon You need to get over my criticisms about over simplifying and posting "wishful thinking" as fact. Things have a natural way they develop in defence tech based on local capabilities in industry. Capabilities are along the lines of skilled design engineers, fabrication and manufacturing skills , manufacturing equipment available and so on. |
jpphilips:My brother I completely agree with you. Nigeria is in the middle of three West African LICs and we have about FIVE flash points within country. |
SPONSORED ARTICLE . There will be many like this . Articles bought by politicians to cause confusion. Watch out for SUN, VANGUARD. For the heavy hitters who can pay, they will use THIS DAY. |
The Nigerian Senate is now a Senate of bribe takers, self kidnappers and law breakers. All this after charging us N13.5m per month for our services. |
They are going to use DIno Melaye's disdain for the law to deny him return as Senator of the FEN. If you actually think this guy will be in NASS after May, 2019 you may have the enough mental deficiency to be a PDP supporter. |
Shell is buying into Solar and electric car technology. There is no stupid country in this world. Eventually Elin Musk will be the richest man in the world but that is when today's oil companies would have bought large stocks in his companies |
jakeporeshenko:Either of Alpha Jets, Bell Helicopters or AH1(W) or (Z) helicopters. |
This is what i expect of a party chairman of A PC. If you want free money, go to PDP. They SHARE and eat the DESTINIES of unborn and the young there. CORRECT !!! This is how to handle matters. PDP is the party of Melaye, Wike and Fayose will need to find free money to pacify the dregs that A PC left and in any case Buhari has INEC and Police so this is a career defining moment for defectors. You better get what you want from PDP or you are wasted as a politician |
Sirjamo:PMB is a different person. Under OBJ, they would take N50bn into Senate chambers and PDP senators (not even APC) would impeach Saraki in 30 mins. All that era is gone and it only btings evil to the country. The PDP has more inner contradictions than A PC especially with the defections. It is better to watch how 12 Presidential candidates and 6 competing factions slug it out. The most stupid thing for an A PC Senator to do is join another defector wave. |
APC will win next elections. They are carrying 24 states comfortably. The big bonuses are inner strides into Akwa Ibom, Delta, Cross Rivers and Ebonyi. Imo will vote APC wholesale since its an all Fulani contest. Oyo might flip PDP narrowly because of Ibadan politics. Kwara and Kogi are NOT weak for Buhari inspite of Saraki. Buhari's CPC won 25% Kwara in 2011. A PC has to field a wicked candidate to counter Saraki here and spend large sums of money. I suspect heavyweight PDP defectors like Kwakwanso, Lamido and/or Shekarau are not Atiku leaning. If they don't get PDP ticket, their supporters will swing Buhari wholesale. |
What will happen if GOD touched Oyedepo, that is what Oyedepo himself should be worried about. We encourage all pastors to be politically active but pastor work is against the world system which includes politics. I hope it was GOD who sent him to make partisan statements? For Omokri, the chicken brain youths you are using sentiments to destroy reasoning power will grow to hate you some day |
kingkakaone:LOL. Someone you should be sorry for, you are praising. Let's see how it ends. |
ChristianNorth:How do these defections translate to votes?. APC governors are the powers and they were the winners of the congresses and now they have the commanding hear of Buhari. For Saraki there are many specials waiting for him. By the way if 20 more senators follow to PDP, that is just another 20 political careers destroyed. They won't win their seats back. |
Landslide for Buhari |
SimplePlan34:How is he going to shred APC when he has left for PDP and there is a police case against him. Saraki is not smart, Buhari is restrained. They could have picked him up anywhere /anyhow and he himself knows. No need to confuse innocent inexperienced guys like you. As for the defection, please think about it. Those guys are finished already. Apart from Kwakwanso and Buba Galadima who have structures and can negotiate something with Buhari, the future is bleak for them. PDP already has people aiming to contest for their seats. |
yanabasee:Don't be childish. He worked for Buhari and Aso Rock very well against Tinubu at some point. They have decided he has outlived his usefulness. The man is a corrupt, unserious job-man anyway trying to save his position and his own neck. |
lionel4power:Ok. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks |
Odunayaw:Amazingly, the UK that has Russia on its list of threats as ordinary Hawk T2 aircraft as an air defence element. Up there with F35B, Typhoons and Tornado ADVs. |
krattoss:N How could it be nukes?. Fusion centre would be intelligence data aggregation, analytics, modelling and interpretation |
Henry240:Okay. All the points I made you have confirmed. Ara is not ready for production. We will be buying a lot of it them in2020. Prototypes on display don't mean finished products. I have absolutely no problem with a Nigerian MRAP. Sudan, Ethiopia, Algeria, Egypt and S. Africa are making theirs. What I dont like is amateurish over simplifications and not knowing route maps that are followed to achieve things then getting frustrated when they don't happen as quickly or as easily as you deceived yourself they were. |
Hawk 200+ (Combat Hawk)apparently has radar and lots of modern attack features. So quite better than Alpha Jet. UK or India won't mind selling as a replacement for Alpha Jets . The Super Tucano does not quite replace Alpha Jets. Which is something fast that can be used in-country for sir to air and air to ground operations. |
He is a GOOD dancer. |
Henry240:Pls leave out the chassis info. Everyone knew the chassis options for Ara as far back 2015. In what ways does agreement on a few cosmetics around the windows and doors constitute "finished product"?. What do you even know about the testing regime?. Is it completed? What angles of inclination can Ara take?. What road obstacles can it tackle?, what about power sharing to wheels and how does it get out of deep potholes like the recent ones that caused the recent ambush? Is the industrial engineering finished, do they have all the jigs and fixtures? I have just looked in 2018 budget document, there is no money for Ara. If it was hidden under A vehicles or IPVs then N.A. is probably not buying up to 8 units. Meanwhile, DHQ is rather buying Verta mini MRAP from Ukraine they are probably not even picking up more than 10 of those Vertas. So Mr Patriotic, how is it that your local MRAP that is all finished with frozen design, development completed and tooling ready could not get any orders this year ? Your country's DHQ is rather evaluating another vehicle from eastern Europe. All this in a context where MRAPs are the single most demanded item in your war against Boko Haram? Are we missing something or we just face the truth that we are not ready yet? |
The reason Fayose lost is even clear from the headline of this thread. Fayose was NOT even on the ballot. However two days after elections, this funny guy drives to the palace of his traditional ruler and says.." The guy who contested against ME, (Fayemi) has been given a full complement of police security while almost all mine have been withdrawn.." The man is an egoist. He never sold a programme to Ekiti people and never achieved anything lasting. He sold himself only and he unfortunately was NOT on this ballot. Ekiti should get serious, find money to pay 9 months salary arrears owed workers, reverse the illegal mass promotions (bribery) and find a way to pay back the N87bn debt this mofo is leaving to their kids. As for him, the future is not bright. The FG will try him for murder, election malpractices and assaults. Even more serious than the many corruption case waiting. There is a season for reaping. This is Fayose's |
Henry240:ARA is not a finished product. I am a mechanical engineer. I also follow automotive and aerospace technology development processes carefully. The fact that prototypes are on display does not mean development is completed and we are ready for production. I dont even think all Nigerian Army requirements are incorporated yet. When they are incorporated and development is completed, you won't have N.A. buying just 9 vehicles. If Proforce is going ahead to procure tooling with an order book less than 100 vehicles, they have my sympathy The Mwari aircraft is also not ready for production yet. Many years ago, wind tunnel testing alone would taje months but i understand that there are CAE/simulation packages now making things cheaper. Mwari would still need some SI work/certification with sensors and weapons. Then someone takes a decision based on orders received before a company can approach a bank to get financing for initial low rate production . Sorry the real world is complex but so also is banking which looks easy to non bankers until they start talking about the complexities of risk PS: One thing I find about Nairaland military threads is that only a few people like NemessisXu know the nitty gritty of military technology and how things really work from laboratories to factories. Every other person seems to think technology is just welding stuff together. |
lionel4power:How much is this aircraft? |
