You have got too much emotions, man

1) She is not the only Muslim lady to be called to bar doesn't mean she is holier or that she can't fight for her right or on behalf of those who were too chicken to insist on using the hijab.

2) The wig doesn't cover the entire head and neck. Also, you don't wear the wig to the ceremony.

3) The nature of the legal profession conflicts with a number of things but not the hijab. I reasonably can't see how professionalism would be affected.

I don't know any Muslim lady who would ordinarily wear the hijab or scarve

encrypt:
I think people like to get unnecessarily sentimental.
A. You're not the only Muslim lady called to bar
B. The wig covers your head so it's not like you're asked to expose your hair
C. If you know the nature of the profession conflicts with your beliefs why go into it?

Sorry to disappoint you, the lady was denied entry to the call yo bar ceremony

Alcatraz005:
The message even a ruse! Who would ban a Muslim from being called to bar under Buhari?

The Muslims are firmly in control for now so I don’t see the possibility of this happening. This is another ploy to inflame tension and sentiment amongst our Muslim population. Soon MURIC will start threatening everybody by writing meaningless articles.

All Nigerians should ignore this rubbish message meant to rile some people up.

My nairalanders, I am in serious soup since I fell out with my lecturer. I thought the good days would last. now I am a wanted man by the school authority.

I used to be his favorite student. until we quarreled about money he was owing me.

Few days ago some boys went to his home and butchered him with a knife. although he is still alive but he fingered me for it. as a former cultist myself, I use my influence to protect him. he wasn't under my umbrella anymore and became venerable.

He was stabbed when he came out to see why the generator suddenly turned off. he was bent to repair the generator when somebody stabbed him from behind. what should I do. its my final year.

Banana is for the boys, Plantain for the men.

Plantain is bigger and better and it fills more.

Banana will give you jedi jedi but Plantain will give you orgasm

Davido is banana, just 2 baby mama. 2baba is Plantain with plenty baby mama

Banana cannot make dodo, Plantain can make dodo

Plantain will make for us our trademark Amala and the leaves will shield our beloved ewedu to keep it fresh

Goats fancy Plantain more and we have more GOATS than monkeys in Nigeria

Plantain is more effective in making jazz than banana..

pocohantas:
I really won't agree with the women are their worst enemies mantra. Anyone can say what that lady said, her opinion isn't synonymous to enmity, it's her opinion.

That said, her opinion may have been formed by various reasons. Maybe personal reasons or watching other women around her.

Humans change, but if you have to keep abiding by so many rules thereby rationing love in your dealings with a spouse. I find that stressful. Some stereotypes have elements of truth, but I also think we should handle our spouses by their individuality.

While some guys will be quick to support her, they don't know there is the reverse opinion that's widespread among women. It's part of the reason we are having unnecessary power tussle among spouses. Y'all should chill on the rules grin

I want a man I will respect 100%, more than my boss. I will find that man who won't abuse it. I need peace in my home, not mind games
.
Good points. I don't understand why these dolts think marriage is all about power. Still they wonder why they lose it all when they cannot provide or perform their manly roles.
Islam › Re: So am I. by Sterope(f): 10:11pm On Dec 09, 2017
I am sorry about your situation. Is there someone you could talk to? I think you should find someone to talk to. Life may appear daunting but all it takes are time, patience and the knowledge that life itself is fleeting. You won't be here for very long, why don't you wait for God to decide. It may get better or worse but you have the ability to wait it out till you are called. May Allah ease your burden.

JustAboyy:
I have been contemplating suicide lately. Believe me it isn't something I intentionally put mind to, but giving my shitty situation, I can't help but have popping into my thoughts once in a while.

I am a Muslim, though not deeply knowledgeable, but I know it is forbidden in Islam.

I just want more simple explanations base on the ayats, hadith talking about in Islam. Like why it is forbidden, the fate of one who commits such etc.

People die in mysterious ways all the time whether they keep to the commandments of God or not. It is part of life. Life is not meant to be paradise.

You are too gullibleundecided

shurch:
Ahmed Deedat comes to mind.. even when I don't support this Tithe of a thing , I still believe we should respect peoples wishes and believes.. cos only the Almighty knows best ... Ahmed deedat was a stauch debater of the relationships of Christianity and Islam also other religions. he held so many debates around the world against renowned and popular Christian pastors (Jimmy swaggart, John Gilchrist, Josh McDowell ..etc). converted a lot of people into Islam . ....stories/rumors came out that many priest of other religion prayed against him and at the end he died a terrible death , suffered a stroke which left him paralysed from the neck down because of a
cerebral vascular accident affecting the brain stem ,
leaving him unable to speak or swallow. He was
flown to King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, where
he was reported to be fully alert. He learned to
communicate through a series of eye-movements via a
chart whereby he would form words and sentences by
acknowledging letters read to him, bedridden for 8years before he died.

Note: what do I know ? am sha of the opinion that we should leave pastors alone cos some of them truly are God sent . ..

Women do not forgive especially when he isn't remorseful. I love how they convince themselves otherwise.

pocohantas:
Men will come here now to tell us how women forgive and forget when their husbands cheat. Will you shut up.
Which women forgive and forget?
They don't forget any damn thing.

They have only been conditioned to take back their cheating husbands. No difference in the pain at all, definitely not by gender, maybe individuality... So, respect your vows.
LOL. The guy only said something that happens though. It happens a lot, men just don't talk about theirs. They pride in doing the cheating, not being cheated on. You'll be surprised how common it is.
I am not saying that it doesn't happen. It is better to be safe than sorry. I don't trust these men at all.

She travelled all the way from PH to Abuja to see man and without money in her bank account. It doesn't make sense to me so I wouldn't assume that was happened.

She doesn't need an ATM to withdraw from her bank account. She could have walked in to any of her bank branches.

You allowed him to shop for you, you went back to the hotel with him, you were comfortable with him being around you....You couldn't fly back to Abuja or take a bus if you were that troubled about his marital status.

There is truly no price tag for rape and if it indeed happened, he deserves to face the full wrath of the law and you deserve to be smack so hard till you lose all consciousness. sad
