If NATO and America get involved, Putin is going to lose and he is going to lose big. They are holding back because this is exactly how it fits going to play out.

A coalition of NATO, allies and America army fighting Russia will bring the war right on their doorstep. Private hospitals train them on how to be a 'nurse'. They employ them as 'nurses'. Some hospitals have never employed a qualified nurse. In one extreme case I know of, a doctor's second wife who was an auxiliary nurse now acts as a doctor in his hospital.

Crimea used to be part of Russia, it is mainly a Russian state. The events that led to Crimea forming part of Ukraine is an ugly one.
