I am human and when it comes to statutory rape, no man and i repeat, no man is a super hero so YES it can happen to me if i loose guard but we can only pray to GOD for self control.
You ladies can never understand the dynamics of sex in relation to a man's psyche.
Look at islam, do you think most of these high ranking Muslim clerics don't sleep with minors on a regular? Even the FG just filled in a charge against Kanu that he called Buhari a pedo so please don't even start with that...any man can fall, we can only pray for strong will. |

The Lady ''consented'' (agreed) without force. Nevertheless, because she is a minor, even if she consented(Agreed without force'' it is still statutory rape because she has not reached the age of legal consent.

How dare you insult a man who is an international business mogul and a major real estate investor. I've known the man (Ooni) since 2002 when he and his professional group were promoting the Association of International Business (AIB). I didn't even know he was a prince of Ile Ife because he was level-headed.
He became the Ooni or king in 2016 and he had no case of fraud against him!

That babe is lying. pocohantas: Nigerian celebs have very poor taste. Especially the ones in the music industry. When you see the kind of women they impregnate or the kind of men they are dating, you understand that money can’t buy class.
If Tiwa had some class or standard at least, what is she doing with an urchin who whipped out his phone in a pleasurable moment to video his woman? A woman he knows is a top rated African artist. A brand ambassador to various organizations. The mother of a growing child and role model to some girls that I don’t know.
She said he was using Snapchat? What kinda man uses SnapChat? Most sensible men can go 200 years without taking a picture. If you think I am lying, ask your hardworking bf in Shell or Pwc for his picture, it will take him 3 months to send you just one poorly taken picture. But Tiwa’s own downloaded Snapchat and decided to use it for sex video.
When I say, don’t fck with men that have nothing to lose, it is for a reason. Don’t fck men without a reputation to protect. Their senses are inactive, a perfect contrast to their gbola. Kpokpogarri and the likes. Spits! |

In most cultures in the world and in some cultures today, women were and are still seen as property. You cannot discount oral tradition now when we have relied on them for the account of so many of things. Given the way society was structured, you can't argue otherwise. Biglittlelois: No I don't understand yours, cos it obviously came out from your mouth, there is no proof whatsoever that traditional laws explicitly said that,
A woman, a human being, is not a property of another human being, explain and screenshot where it is stated in the African tradition and patriarchy that such exists let's all see it, words of mouth can always be false and dismissed as pure nonsense, just cos some bunch of men sat down to voice out what suits them at a particular era back in the day, doesnt make it an actual truth, proof, link, or don't quote me again. |

Advice that won't stop their men from adultery or polygamy and divorce that might not even put a house in their names. Let them use that energy and time they plan on wasting in court to be proactive and plan for their future. Sleekfingers: I am from the southwest.... traditional wedding favours the men the most.....the man can marry a second wife or impregnate any woman.....and there is nothing the Ist wife can do about it.....na only begging go end am........
That's why I strongly advice women to insist on court wedding......if the man do anyhow, he go see anyhow........ |
Family › Re: Don't complain that your husband is cheating on you if you are on this table by Sterope(f): 9:40pm On Oct 18, 2021 |
The man never ready to marry more wives. How much do these women get in Nigeria? Women in traditional marriages don't walk away completely empty handed as well in customary courts. Kobojunkie: You are terribly mistaken. With court marriage, polygamy is automatically not allowed. And in the case of a divorce, the risk of walking away empty-handed is greatly reduced. |
Family › Re: Don't complain that your husband is cheating on you if you are on this table by Sterope(f): 9:27pm On Oct 18, 2021 |
Lmao. You are so wrong. Legal marriage won't make a tiny difference in your relationship. He will marry more wives, the children he recognises outside wedlock will have a right on his properties and it won't stop him from cheating. You can sue for bigamy but good luck with that Who wants the headache that comes from going to court? maureensylvia: Only women who are married monogamously under the marriage act (in court or in an approved church) have the right to say “My husband is cheating on me”! If you are only married traditionally, your husband never vowed to be faithful to you!
when you are married only under native law and custom your husband has the right to marry as many wives as he wants and there is NOTHING you can do about it. Also your children belong to him custody wise under native law and custom.

Islam is going on stronger than Christianity though . However, at a point many will abandon most religions especially the Abrahimic faiths. It is expected and that is life for you just like we will all become a thing of the past. Which among your Muslim family members has carried bomb before? I don't think you are bastard so please provide a name. It is shocking that in this day and age of 'internet', you know nothing about terrorism. What a shame! jimtemi1: Lol, I was once a Muslim is there way... After every atrocity Na ALLAHWAKBARU, they are passing such brutality from generation to generation, when they ask such kid to carry bomb go blow himself, why do u think he or she won't carry it? All what they are expose to is torture and brutality you better change your ways before Islam becomes the thing of the past |

Becoming a learned scholar used to be seen as an educational adventure, a lifelong one. Many of these people have gone outside Nigeria to study more especially in the famous Al-Azhar university which is also one of the oldest university in the world, if not the oldest. For example, I have an uncle who is well versed that he also writes academic books in Arabic usually on the subject of Islam in relation to other matters. He didn't attend any university though. Therefore it is expected that like everything on this earth, it will be abused especially where there is less scrutiny and accountability. Also, we live in a country where corporal punishment even when they border on torture used to be accepted. A popular Yoruba adage is ' Ma na we bi kuku' meaning 'I will beat you almost to the point of death'. Many of these Islamic schools are also run by very old men or people whose experience mirror the same. Nowdays, there are Islamic schools that barely use corporal punishments. You shouldn't be tagging anyone a hypocrite. You don't know what is going on in his mind. kazyhm: Hypocrite! Is there any Ile Kewu that doesn't engage their pupil in various degree of dehumanizing disciplines ?....from hawking for eleha to all manner of chores......
One advantage of social media I don't like is, it has become a platform that enable people to live a double life and practice double standard.
It has also become a controlling tool as well. Anyone can now impose an unwarranted pressure in others to conform with an unwritten social structures standard. |
