We don't need a public holiday for this.

In most cultures in the world and in some cultures today, women were and are still seen as property.

You cannot discount oral tradition now when we have relied on them for the account of so many of things. Given the way society was structured, you can't argue otherwise.

Only women who are married monogamously under the marriage act (in court or in an approved church) have the right to say “My husband is cheating on me”! If you are only married traditionally, your husband never vowed to be faithful to you!

when you are married only under native law and custom your husband has the right to marry as many wives as he wants and there is NOTHING you can do about it. Also your children belong to him custody wise under native law and custom.

Becoming a learned scholar used to be seen as an educational adventure, a lifelong one. Many of these people have gone outside Nigeria to study more especially in the famous Al-Azhar university which is also one of the oldest university in the world, if not the oldest. For example, I have an uncle who is well versed that he also writes academic books in Arabic usually on the subject of Islam in relation to other matters. He didn't attend any university though.

Therefore it is expected that like everything on this earth, it will be abused especially where there is less scrutiny and accountability. Also, we live in a country where corporal punishment even when they border on torture used to be accepted. A popular Yoruba adage is ' Ma na we bi kuku' meaning 'I will beat you almost to the point of death'. Many of these Islamic schools are also run by very old men or people whose experience mirror the same.

Nowdays, there are Islamic schools that barely use corporal punishments. You shouldn't be tagging anyone a hypocrite. You don't know what is going on in his mind.

@toks2008, it is impossible to firm up the breast with oil, cucumber and every other things you have listed. Exercise can help to give an appearance of a firmer breast but it won't give you an actual firm breast if you don't have it. Surgery gives the only practical and realistic solution.

Women should ignore deprecating posts like this. Saggy breasts are very natural at age 16 and even for a small breast.
