funkmrflexx: We Have Been Dating For 1 Year and 6 months now. I’ve met her parents, we wanted to get married last year but her dad told me to wait till she finishes school which is supposed to be next year. I’m 25 years old and she’s 22 .
I just think the things she went through in her family is affecting her physiological. And sometimes when I think about leaving her I feel pity because she can’t go back to her parents house.
You are still a young man at 25 so you may not understand. Hmm. Let that woman go immediately if not your enemy will weep loudly once marriage is concluded with children in tow. There are some things a man should NOT tolerate at all - this is one of them. Self restraint is very important in the life of a spouse. You are still young but I hope you understand. Male abuse is high, very high and this is how it begins. Be careful young man.

Absolutely lovely movie, I can go on and on about it
tunmiluabi: My story is quite long, please run through with patience.
I married my wife about 11 years ago. By the way I am 46 Thanks for reading.
Tunmi
It may take a while but please forgive yourself and forgive your wife. Mistakes were made both ways. Divorce is a lie from the enemy. It is not easier out there. Make what you have work again and it can... The couples that remained together dont have 2 heads. Forgiveness and persistence is why they remain in the game. You both need sometime, take a little time to heal but please make peace again. Shame the devil and reconcile when you are both ready...

This thing governors are doing is just wrong. Plain wrong. These guys are nigerians, they can live anywhere and beg anywhere. Either way, they will be catered for
Alcapodetuti: Oluwo Used To Beat Me, Threatened Me With 'JUJU' – Olori Chanel Akanbi Cried Out
The Story of OLORI CHANEL AKANBI (Born Chanel Michael Chin) is a sad reality of life.
Five months ago, her former husband, the very controversial Iwo king in Osun State (South West Nigeria), Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi announced across both conventional and social media that he has sacked his beautiful Olori characterized her stay behind the closed door of the palace.
He has a duty to report truthfully and accurately without fear or favor. If you feel it is untrue, please follow the legal redress available to you. Whether he is from your state or note is not the issue here. We are supposed to be in a democratic era and not a military junta. Mr Gov, what is now the difference between you and what the military did in order to suppress freedom of the press?
Micky002: There is this scenerio i usually observe with my landlord and his children which always makes me curious and also raises unanswered question within me. This prompt me to post this here.
My landlord is idoma by tribe and has six grown up children, three boys and three girls. He should be in his late fifties or early sixties. Here is the issue.
This man despite having grown up boys and girls always do his chores by himself while the children will be lazying around engaging in trivial discussions. This man will wash his clothes by himself while his girls, the youngest being twenty years of age will be chatting with friends in the compound. This man will go to fetch water with kegs using a wheel barrow every morning while the boys will sit outside doing nothing.
Meanwhile the water he fetches is used by every member of the house. This man can go up to three to four trips while the boys will be busy arguing about Manchester United and Chelsea with friends.
What baffles me the most is that they see nothing wrong in this because the man doesn't complain and his wife, their mother is also witnessing everything.
My question now is, is this an acceptable norm in their (Idoma) culture? For a father to be doing the house chores while the children will be playing. I'm asking because where I come from, it is unacceptable.
just2endowed: This is serious Seun.. Let's save a life.
It should be moved to front page
Endless pos transaction n
This is irritating, look at the POS name and the way the deduction happened, you dont need a rookie fraud officer to tell you the banks mechanism should hv blocked the transaction . It screams of fraud!
dicksonadams: someone fraudulently gain access to my account last night 28TH March 2020 and performed a series transactions of N443,928.49 without my authorisation.
A strongly worded letter from your lawyer to the banks complaints channel copying relevant govt agencies and bank MD or other senior bank officials can also do the trick
Emescot: Hello guys, Let me start by narrating my ordeal, about 2weeks ago I started having my regular symptoms of typhoid and malaria which is back pain, hot breathe, evening fever and change in urine colour, so i rushed to the pharmacy and got malaria drugs. Stay safe guys, Stay indoors.
It's not ok to be having regular treatment for typhoid. Malaria maybe a bit understandable (depending on your location) but not typhoid Thank God you are better
Owerri1stSon: It all started yesterday, 14th or March when I was heading to a burial at around 11am.
They extort illegally!!!
Sorry about your predicament, but sometimes when we report like this, let us back it up more evidence if we can. Nairaland reach is very wide. Perhaps a big shot somewhere would be able to identify the officers in charge and call them to order. No number, no name, nothing at all from your report? It is well. I hope spotlight is now cast on that particular station to weed out the bad eggs. I'm also glad you didn't pay a single kobo.
Happiness overwhelms my heart in ways I can’t explain. I’m giving this PPR testimony on behalf of a close friend whom I introduced to this forum a long time ago. A huge thank you to Nairaland and Seun, for the online resource we have here. Some of us just glance through pages but we don’t really understand the depth of knowledge hidden in these pages especially page 1.
In addition, I want to use this opportunity to thank the following individuals in no order: @newmum0615, wasseynewest and happytbaby. I reached out to you guys at several points concerning this application and you all responded. God bless you all.
You know there are some application that just take their time, this was one of them. In the meantime, notes were ordered after the 6 months mark, but it didn’t reveal much. This application was indeed a test of endurance. At a point, I advised my friend to take off her mind from the application but of course those of us post AOR know this is not easy.
Finally, in February ADR appeared for updated family information.
Her application is a testament to speaking the truth in all season and never giving up on your dream. So, I want to encourage people here to hang on. My friend began her Canadian journey long before I did but gave up at a point. Subsequently I picked up in 2017 and eventually got PPR the following year. It was then she was gingered to try again after my departure. She went through so much writing IELTS, but she never gave up. It was just 0.5 in one of the components she needed for her big break. There was a time she was writing IELTS back to back and I advised her to give herself some weeks break. But before I could say JACK ROBINSON, she don carry register quietly again. My friend was dogged and was of one resolve – not allow the Canadian Express Entry train pass her by!
It was then I came to this forum to cry out for help and IELTS was finally conquered - to God be the glory. I am glad she didn’t slow down because in a matter of weeks after she passed IELTS, scores jumped from 250 to 260 and now to the 270 we see today.
I have gone on and on about my friend’s challenge here so just one person can be encouraged today. Hold steady and NEVER give up no matter the obstacle, no matter the delay. Believe in yourself and hold steady. If she had even listened to some of us advising her to slow down with IELTS then, who knows what may have happened. So sometimes, listen to the quiet voice on your inside and do you! Do you!
So after all the struggle of getting ITA, submitting application, the emotionally draining
Una don see as my waka take be.
Gracias
Welcome to Canada. Give yourself sometime and everywhere go soft, lol One of the best things I learnt from this thread before leaving Nigeria was bringing my powerbank along with me. God bless the lady who made that comment here cos I was almost dashing it out. If your phone battery is not too strong and you will be using public transport for a while plus coming in winter, Please bring it along. Put inside bag when going out, e dey help oh. Cold dey hook phone for here wen nor too strong.
Also not sure how sound Google map is in Nigeria. Try learning how to use it. God knows I still walk around in circles but I'm alot better than when I first landed. God bless you all

ayoadeifee: I Am writing this with my heart bleeding with too much pains, I need help!!!!!
Meanwhile it's just within the local government, it has not reach the state level, At this present moment we don't know what to do. She has been so devastated and sad since morning. We have been praying but we still don't know what to do.
There is wisdom in choosing your battles before rushing to the battle ground You mum has worked for 32 years meaning she is closer to retirement than starting off her career She is trying to make needless enemies at the dusk of her career As a civil servant, she can be posted within her state of primary assignment. Whether her school is peaceful and the one they are sending her to is not is IMMATERIAL! If her health challenges is too bad, let her resign and take care of herself peacefully. Y'all should have advised her to take up her new posting (thereby securing her continuity in service) then prayerfully take up her case to the relevant authorities by showing medical evidence and asking to be reposted to a new school nearer to her home. This pleading/request can be done on a compassionate ground while backed up with prayers. That is far better than ignoring authorities and staying put when you have been asked to relocate.
There is a saying that he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. You can't be showing insubordination yet crying foul and praying for grace all at the same time.
Now look, she has been suspended, is that any better for you guys?
BigBelleControl: It's her right to be engaged to another person. Do you expect her thing to remain unserviced forever? She even looks sweeter than many ladies in thier 20s and 30s. Shebi her husband too has moved on with another woman.
FatherBona: Don't get me started............. My Landlord is a Bishop of The BCS. He's got properties all over town, enough to make a billionaire jealous. This nigga is a stark illiterate Source of wealth? He sells yam at the timber market yea right My stories will fill up the pages of a dictionary and will surely win an Oscar for best script if adapted into a movie. I've seen it all, from red and white handkerchiefs, burning of red and black candles at unholy hours of the night, prayer band gathering by midnight, singing and dancing round the compound barefoot, wearing white garments, clandestine meetings, and other unexplained occurrences. He has banned all manner of church activities and prayers in the compound except its organised by the BCS. Need I go on?! Killing of snakes, and the appearances of owls and other strange creatures is the order of the day and he has placed an order never to harm this creatures, it could be an apparition from their leader or so he believes. God is my only hope. Can't wait to leave these place
