now, over here, no matter what car a person drives, u ask them two questions mostly - what is ur educational background and where do u work and you can then immediately estimate if they can afford the car they are driving or not before you are impressed, but not so in naija O, it appears!! show up in a car u neither have the education or the job to afford and people clap and bow, it is unreal!!

the story sounds familiar shaa:  a naija man here in da tdot is a nurse and his new wife in naija was said to have called him one afternoon at work and call him a "chew-gum hand"! he was shocked n asked her why now, she said her best friend in naija just got a Jeep as a gift n her and her man both r in naija but alas she the wife of an away guy have no jeep because the husbands hands r like gum that can not hold anything tight together as a good glue!

There is no work in London, a friend of mine did his masters in Portsmouth in the UK. He came home just because of that so-called NNPC interview.

He lamented the type of broken assss Life they are leaving in London. Most Nigerians in London are now coming home to look for Job. There was a vacancy of 80,000 per month in my office, I was so surprised, the guy quickly rushed it (I cant even file for 80,000 naira Job in this Lagos, na transport money you want use am pay or house rent)

The good thing about London is you see them taking pictures with nice cloths in a nice place and post it on facebook. Although there are social infrastructures that are way better than that of Nigeria and above all "LAW".

a lot of observations here about life overseas are only documenting the life of young immigrants and not those who have moved passed that stage! almost everyone eventually move past that stage.

life is very very hard for single moms here as you have no families to help u babysit so u can work or go to school.

oh, by the way, if your friend only went to London for his Masters, he has no choice but to come back soon after as a student Visa is a temporary one and must leave London after school.

so, it's complicated! talking about flowers, most black girls here will not like that u brink them flowers because it means that you are weak and they like bad boys, but there is a lil problem though; same nice men who bring flowers r pushed away to white girls who love flowers and same men also tend to stay and help the wife push the baby around because they love more and the black girls then turn around and say black men with white woman only push the babies because they r light skin and cry that the black kids they have r not pushed around because they r darker so the men dont love them!!!

reality check: same men who bring flowers r also likely to help with house work and push their kids in strollers and help to raise same kids by being involved in their lives all the way! they r also frequently better educated n liberal  

teenage Chinese and White kids celebrate love here by holding hands and roses at festivals but good luck finding same in black festivals, which is concentrated around the waste rather than the heart which a roses signifies!! we celebrate lust and other celebrate love, that's how it starts!

by the time a black woman is fully grown, then this becomes ingrain that she deserves the gift in exchange for the p u s ss she has to give n since a man dont have it, go figure! if its love, then both have a heart to share and deserve gifts for being a good sharer!!

@andromida - That is the thing he has convince her that he is not really married to the girl in Nigeria and he wants to be with her and he has no intention of every going back to his country. My friend said that she has also spoke with a close relative of his that has been married to an American woman for over 14 years and he said that once he came to America that the life over in his country was over. So she did not have anything to worry about. So she is not truly aware of what is truth and what is not. They have all manage to "woo" her closer to him.
