PoliticsRe: Dress Code In Benue; Ladies Banned From Wearing Trousers! by swiftycool(m): 1:49pm On Aug 07, 2007
Wether the info about Benue state is true or not, im not really bothered but this post is for the ignorant
or biased follow-the-crowd christians / muslims, who think women in trousers is bad, here is some education!

Jewish women (which included the old christian community) for centuries had similar fashion culture to Arabs, meaning trousers for women were simply a traditional acceptable attire.
They wore specially designed ankle length trousers shaped to match their body under their "dishdashas"
This was even acceptable during the period of Jesus, his disciples and till date
When the sanction on women wearing mens' clothings came, those trousers were not what it was refering to

The fact that some churches today are full of follow the crowd xtians who dont even understand the bible, doesn’t mean u should after all your enlightenment  be like them
TROUSERS for women are even better, more secure, smarter and very honourable, it doesnt make u less a woman, nor more a harlot
The bible never told women not to wear trousers, it said not to wear mens' clothings TROUSERS ARE NOT MENS CLOTHINGS ALONE
If you believe you know better than this, i beg u to challenge me with facts that are founded and not the dumb "our pastor said" bullshit
most of those pstors are blinded by limited human theological reasoning and not the direction of the holy spirit
Mind u i am a christian too

denex:
Actually, Arab and Indian women have been wearing trousers for centuries. European and American women started wearing trousers in the 19th century and African women started wearing trousers in the 21st century. The whole world is beginning to realise that a pair of trousers is one of the most convenient clothing items invented.

I second the motion that if women wearing trousers on the streets can be arrested, then women wearing bikinis at beauty pageants should be shot at sight. Policewomen wearing trousers should also be jailed immediately and all those "OVATION" women should be clamped down on.
And all female  youth coppers should be flogged for the trousers, or given green wrappers to tie, Hahaha grin ( id love to witness the drills again o.)
and Trouser suits should be banned by all corporate institutions. Let all women tie wrappers or long deeper life skirts to bank jobs

Sick Sick Sick, how i wish tax payers monies were directed towards more useful things than women victimization

@ Biossisi or whatever
we ignorant christians are more to blame for this hipocritical bull shit not them muslims mind u!

When people are charged with a crime, they enter a plea bargain to get a less harsh sentence. That is done even for other people apart from these Governors. It is done all over the world it is not only in Nigeria
Beautiful! so we can all steal public funds in our care, squander it, invest some for the rainny day but never forget the one we'll use to hire a bright lawyer to fight the case by entering into a plea Bargain as its done all over the world, well after millions of childrens' lives have been destroyed from our selfish and indesciplined acts.
We can go off with light sentences which we bought with the profit gained from the illicitly acquired money or be completely cleared and then  someday still run for another political office again. LOL  shocked

id say we should take a cue from the way Singapore, or is it china dealt with the unrully Food and drug Boss earlier this year. and let there be no sacred cows
Then there may be a real wind of change!
PoliticsRe: Dress Code In Benue; Ladies Banned From Wearing Trousers! by swiftycool(m): 8:34am On Aug 07, 2007
This is soo soo sick!
we ve all forgotten the origin of our current fashion, Trousers came from foreign traditions which had designs for both males and females just as skirts in scotland have designs 4 both males and females

Funny!  b4 the white man whose women still go about in trousers came to preach Christianity we were either NAKED or mostly in wrappers, men and women alike.
Id say if we want to copy tradition lets copy the whole thing, if not lets go back to our origins. If christianity or islam is the basis 4 the victimisation of these women lets find out from the white man and arabs alike if they actually created trousers only 4 their men,
we will be suprised at your findings and stop rattling around in stupid ignorance and hipocritical morality.

So many dumb ignoramus in this country blinded by religion they dont even know what next to do!  tongue

@ D10

Its natural to be anxious, As i said sometime ago, not everyone is called for an interview,
especially if the visa officials can do the research and investigation on your application docs. and satisfy themselves
without your having to invite you for any explanations.
I have a stong feeling that you will be issued having supplied all stated docs. you mentioned Provided they are authentic

Good luck! by the way which school did u apply 4?

@swiftycool
Men congats for your visa !!! e no easy oo bros

but i have some tasking questions i want to ask please i hope i 'm not bothering u .
i applied for a german student visa and i was told to go and deposit 7,030 euros before i can process my study visa .Now the start date for my course in germany is starting by the end opf september aand the visa process takes 2months,i was told so by the interviwer on the 25th of july.
Now i don't klnow if i can ,meet up the deadline even if i send trhre money .
Now i want to ask you if the visa officials for the UK embassy will ask you to pay for all your school fees or part ,because i want to apply for a school in scotland and i want to know the proceedure and if they will tell me to pay for part or all my school fees so i can start now to organize it and if i decide to send the school fees will that gaurantee me a study visa to the UK ?
please reply asap.
thanks
Visa officials are not necessarilly interested in how much u hav or have not paid, from what ive learned
although in most cases your proposed school of study recomends international stdts pay a certain ammount b4 they can
Give you an acceptance letter, or unconditional offer of admission, in some cases this could be say 20%, 50% rarely 100%
This is just to confirms your seriousness and reserve a space 4 u It is only if u have this that u can be guarateed an accommodation,
What this means is once u have been given acceptance and guaranteed accommodation, or made plans 4 ur accommodation
with documentary evidence, you have no problem.
But makes ure all other docs. are available and authentic
Good Luck wink

@swiftycool
Please can u answer these question:

Did you apply for a student visa or visiting?

What were u asked during the interview?

Did u submit your sponsor's payslip or bank statement? , and any other evidence of sponsorship?

Hoping to read your reply soon.

Congratulations!
1. I applied for astudents visa, a 1 year programme but i asked for a visa stating over 1 year cos i intend to stay till my graduatn. so dey did the maths and gave me till 2009

2. i supplied my sponsors bank stmts, which was even overdrawn to have only about 500k, but i backed up with property deeds and shares acct
showing market values in naira, aletter of sponsorship, affidavidt, and some biz docs.

3. D interview asks u a lot of stuff about the course, the assesment method, projects to be written, mode of study, facilities the school has and most
importantly what u intend to do after u complete the course and how feasible it will be to get a job with d qualification

4. Mind u they know when you are nervous, and maybe when you are lying, so if u dont know the answer to a question just say so

5.They also want to know your comprehensive capability and english language proficiency, so expect trick questions,

and make sure you smile even if u r Nervous like i was. GOOD LUCK

@ Topic
Do u realize stars, fine, rich and powerful guys get told ''I LoVe U'' millions of times daily, by girls who dont even know them personally
and yes! some of them get really angry, not cos they r childish or whatenuh
But becos its an outright lie, He knows u  love his looks, his money, his power, his fame, position or whatever & not really him
and he might use it to his advantage to spite u, i mean check out ilks of R Kelly & their many lovers
They are so easy to fall in love with but surely  lose d lovers when they stop shining or lose steam
So b4 u say it  if u want to get a positive reply, make sure u really do luv that guy for who he is not what he is or has got

Snoop Doggy Dog replied once to "a lover" of his: "Bitch, you dont love me , you just love my money and ma doggy style"
why dyou think he did?   wink

TravelRe: Will Lagos Ever Be Like Abuja? by swiftycool(m): 10:26am On Jul 26, 2007
Lagos can be like Abuja if there is a n appropriate Urban renewal plan
But unfortunately it might have to involve demolishing our long lived homes
and illegal structures, b4 new laws be put in place. But since there
are too many big people in Lag they wont allow this 2 be.

Solution

The best way is 2 bomb lagos with a nuclear weapon so no one can
have a choice but give in to the Urban renewal, like Hiroshima today
TEHEHEHE,   tongue, but i mean seriously think bout it.

VOR
i just checkd it and it says valid from 17/07/07 to 31/03/09
Does dat mean i could have left since 17th of dis month?
funny i got the visa on the 18th
TravelRe: Visa Application Length! by swiftycool(m): 12:25pm On Jul 25, 2007
@ mystical
From my recent experience Visa replies after application are much faster based on the new biometric method .
I applied on july 2, 2007 @ a Vf centre and was called 4 an interview @ the high commission on d 17th
i got my visa on the 18th. ill be leaving later next month
So u see its just at most 14 working days to know ur fate as not everyone is called 4 an interview these times.

Also to all genuine applicants, dont mind all those uninformed psycos u might meet everywhere that say getting a visa is so hard
I never expected it to be that easy , so it was for the eight of us called for the interview
Good luck and C u when we get there

Sorry, i didnt quite get what u meant. i clearly spelt out to
the visa officials that id like totravel well b4 my course commences
and my entry clearance doesnt state a specific date for my travelling

pls let me kno if there is a penalty for leaving much earlier than ur start date,
say 2-3 weeks?
TravelRe: Application For Uk Student Visa. by swiftycool(m): 10:47am On Jul 25, 2007
its funny how people with zero in4mation get on this site and start destroying peoples dreams

@ senetee dont mind people like ollie, she doesnt have the slightest in4 about visa screenin process
I just got my student visa last week for a longer period than i asked 4, ill be leaving 4 my course in Scotland, starting sept 17, on August 20th
Mind u i busted my NYSC, cos it 2 me is a bloddy waste of time and i told d visa officer so during d interview
Also, and i have barely 1year 6 months experience in construction  industry just after graduation and i am well below 30!
Listen to people like Azorjiu who seem to be well learned. Brotha u stand all d chance

@ ollie39
i guess u need some schooling , the fact dat u were deported does not mean u should
discourage serious minded and focused individuals from makin a move. Thank God i never listend to your ilk
before my Visa interview, barely a week after i applied.

To all wishing to apply, for september courses do it now, it will be out in 14 working days
but be sincere and rather than tell lies dont talk about some facts. and make sure all your docs
are genuine.
Good luck. see u when we get there! wink

The reason why most women have to settle for an ugly broke brute at the end of their search
is usually because they spend two or more  productive decades of their lives looking for the
flawless prince charming only to find out when they are runnin late, that they are already too old 4 d game
then, handsome, rich, sexy, bad boy, posh car owner, wont even be interested anymore so u settle 4 whatever
or strugle to get pregnant for any irresponsible Playa. Who'll soon split anyway.

To the Guys if they dont want u now, just concentrate on building urself up for the future, in the end u'll control the game and have all the choices
They forgot that Men are like wine, The older they get the better and of more worth they become while
Women are like flowers , or clothes the older the less beautiful and of less Social attraction they become
Its a man's world but guys rememba the one that was with u when u weren't shit, She is ur Queen and She deserves the Cream
