Today's meditation.... Extract from a talk by St Vincent de Paul

Extend your mercy towards others, so that there can be no one in need whom you meet without helping. For what hope is there for us if God should withdraw His Mercy from us?

In the old testament, it was said that there will always be people who are in need.... So it's our duty to help them...

So also, there will always be people who "have" to give to the needy.

If you fall into the divide of those that "have", do not hesitate to act accordingly.....

May God in His mercies bless us with the resource to help the need...
Amen Amen. Extract on point.

Syncing with God

I've been looking for a cool way to explain this. The need for prayer. It's importance.
I'll explain it with something we all use.

Our relationship with God is like the relationship between a WiFi hotspot and a WiFi.
Let's say God is the Wi-Fi hotspot and you're the Wi-Fi.

The closer you are to him, the higher the percentage but the farther you are from him, the weaker your reception.

Now let's compare prayer to the file being transferred.
Assuming you're using Xender to send a file and you walk farther from the other person, the file transfer takes longer time.

So then, how do you intend God to hear your prayers when you're not close to him.

Your reception is weak.
#Prayer is both the file being transferred and the force that increases your reception.

God will not come to you. He send you graces to make it easy for you to come to him.

Now, assuming you have 100% reception with God, it means you are now in sync with him.

It's like when Iron man syncs with Jarvis, he's able to do awesome stuffs.

That's exactly how you'll becoming if you sync with God.
And the highest way to sync with him is to eat of him, as of the reception holy Communion.

But make sure you don't fall into mortal sins.
They are like viruses. They'll make you format or even go as far as flashing on a new ROM.

Not everyone is given the opportunity of flashing on a new leaf.

As viruses come in by installing bad apps, syncing with the wrong persons via bluetooth or xender or browsing infested sites, and unticking unknown sources, and rooting your phone(willfully taking away your phone's defence system), so is mortal sins.

God has placed in us root systems. I beg you, do not root yourself or else you might grant root access to viruses  while trying to enjoy yourself.

The root systems come in the form of inhibitions.
Example: That eww thought of seeing a naked person when we were still innocent.

Or defined as the removal of innocence.

God loves you too much.
He told me to tell you all.
"We live by grace; we act by choice."

Antonio Francesco™
Nice analogy for the geeks...but I like the title "Syncing with God" it's sounds like "Syncan with God"...and that's majority right there cheesy cheesy

Good morning brethren, a splendid day ahead to all.

Can you help to explain this part of the prayer for the year of Mercy? 'You willed that your ministers would also be clothed in weakness'

Some Catholics are making a show out of it.
It's common knowledge that you appreciate another's situation more if you've experienced something about it. This is why the writer of the book of Hebrews was happy to declare thus: "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to have compassion on our weaknesses, but rather one who was tempted in all things, just as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us go forth with confidence toward the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy, and find grace, in a helpful time" Heb.4: 15-16.

So we see that in God's wisdom, He willed that His own son, who will become the High Priest, experiences something about our weakness. Though He overcame all temptation, but he now knows for sure how difficult it is for us. In same vein, since God chose the weak... 1Cor.1:27, it's His will to do this and not make them angels, that the ministers, in following Christ example in overcoming temptation, may as well show compassion to others, when they reach out to them, especially in the sacrament of reconciliation.
Clothed in weakness therefore portrays in my opinion, the experience of the frailties of the human nature in the face of temptations, and the rigors of the daily struggle to be perfect. Instead of making the minister's like angels, God willed that "my grace is enough for you".

Oh, you mean Catholics like you with Heavy Papcy blinders called me names and you assumed i took them with a pinch of salt? No sir. When you get your blinders off, we shall talk Bible, and within context too.
Jehivah's Witnesses is not Christuanity, Just like Catholic Church isn't. Different religiins masqurading.as Christianity.
The Bible is the TRUTH.
THE TRUTH IS NOT IN ANY DENOMINATION.
O blind guide! God is not an author of confusion 1Cor.14:33. He cannot be the source of false teachings, He is absolute truth! God has one fold and one shepherd in which the whole truth resides, Jesus actually acknowledged He has other sheep; but never other folds nor shepherd, that's why He prayed for the return of the sheep into that one fold and under the one shepherd. John10:16. So it doesn't matter how much you shout it in order to believe it, what you have there in bold is Non-scriptural and completely false, for even the Bible itself has acknowledged the Church found by Jesus Christ, of which He made Peter the Shepherd, as the foundation and pillar of truth. 1Tim.3:15. If Christ had wanted the bible as the Pillar of truth, He would have written a book, rather than instituting a church. And as at the time Christ ascended to heaven and the Apostles started propagating Christianity, only the old testament was there. So what exactly was their truth then, the old testament?

Your lies are overwhelming.
Why did you refer me to those threads? Whatever you have to say to me, say it here. You referred me to a while thread for what purpose?
The Catholic Churches' long term plan is to turn every Christian to an atheists. But Satan failed the day Christ resurrected.
Do you even read to understand or simply to respond? I know you're not an Adventist, of course, that's why you're with the mark of the beast-according to them, and they got that from their reading the same bible you read, so who is with the truth, you or them or the jehova witnesses, etc? I referred you to that year old thread and my admonitions to you, that you may consider repenting from your lies. Your post there was so laced with falsehood, that more than one person felt you must have smoked weed. But alas, you have continued in your follies till date, again on this thread. Leave telling lies, you are not fighting for God with lies, stop hating; it blinds you from truth. Be humble and open to the spirit of Love, then you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Jn.8:32

.
Yet the Catholic fought with rigour to wipe it's existence from man. Do you know that anyone who tries to keep the Bible away from man by burning up the scriptures is antichrist Scriptures, and antichrist?
The Catholic Church burnt Bibles like no one organization has ever done. Even Islam hasn't done the kind of damage the Catholic Church did and is still doing to Christiandom.
You keep hailing yourselves for compiling the Bible, almost to the point of making it sound like the Catholic Church wrote the Bible.
Clap for yourself.
If you do not repent of your lies, eternal damnation awaits you, no matter how much noise you make on NL religious section. To you I had earlier posted this a year ago. https://www.nairaland.com/2387888/current-former-opus-dei-here#34901151

Now you start again with lies. Again I find myself admonishing you with scriptures:

Ex 23:1 - You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.

Prov 19:9 - A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish

The Catholic Church led by the Holy Spirit gave the world the Bible. The Church spread Christianity to the ends of the earth and carried the bible along. The Church knew that the unlearned and unstable will wrench the scripture unto their own distruction 2Pet.3:16 and in her wisdom restricted it's use at that time to the clergy and the learned. Just like Eve and Adam who curiosity led to disobedience, so did the curiosity of your protestant Fathers lead them to disobedience. What is the result in both cases? Adam's disobedience brought sin and death Rom.5:12, Your protestant father's disobedience brought your present hatred for me and my brethren, the children of the woman Rev.12:17. All one needs to do is look at Christendom as a whole, and you'll see the utter confusion they caused. Just one example for you, In case you are not aware, you are with the mark of the beast, according to "bible reading" seventh day Adventist.

The correct prayer for a dead person is, 'May your memory be blessed'.
The 'May your soul rest in peace' prayer is a waste of breath.
Once a person is dead your prayers for the soul is useless.
Don't you see how funny he sounds? So he believes in praying for the dead. He says Prayers for the soul is a waste, but prayers for the memory of the dead is fruitful. So with prayers one can still change the memory of the dead from cursed to blessed? SMH.

You thought right. Though some who feel uncomfortable with the doctrine of purgatory, will say it was not a prayer for the dead Onesiphorus but instead; an expression of ardent desire from Paul, yet this position of theirs begs the question of what is prayer, as well as, why Paul will waste his time desiring...something nothing.

Christianity EtcRe: Who Invented The Trinity? by Syncan(m): 1:38pm On Jun 03, 2016
Hahahaha, I just can't help but laugh. You don't believe in Trinity because it's not logically possible, but you believe everything on earth was made out of nothing, how logically possible is that? You believe in a being that has no beginning whatsoever, but you want to limit this being to your understanding, how logically possible is that? You believe that a woman untouched conceived and bore a human, how logically possible is that?
In our relationship with God, the first thing is to proclaim whatever God has revealed, understanding it is a different matter. First the early Christians acknowledged that the word of God revealed the father, the son and the holy spirit each as God, yet the same word of God says there is only one God. They didn't start saying it's impossible, they acknowledged their limitations and proclaimed what was revealed then try to study further using logic to see if they can explain it. You don't say a revealed truth is wrong because you don't understand. The Jews made that mistake with Christ, and aren't they still in Judaism today?
