I don't feel marginalized at all, infact I'm totally not in support of women ordination.

When Jesus Christ chose his apostle, there are women out there yet he chose twelve men and not even a woman was among them.

There are religious women serving God in the church today, we must not become priest before we serve God, it is better we leave things the way God want them to be and not try to turn them upside down for our selfish reasons.

The day the church tries to approve women ordination will be my most unhappy day in the mother church and I can't even attend any mass officiated by a female priest.

JMAN05: No. I didnt ask him to create a thread. I just told him to feel free to criticise any of our current teaching he feels is against the bible. Even though he derailed and start talking about a changed teaching, I never gave up in reminding him my earlier request, and even replied some unsupported inputs. If you know what you believe, thread name is no problem. at least the name is not that bad.

His inputing Italo's name should even be a privilege. at least among many other catholics, he is recognized. maybe the guy who opened it know Italo as a champion of catholic doctrine here. So he wants to direct it to him straight.

You just affirmed that he opened the thread based on a mutual understanding, unlike this one. Even from this post, you never objected to your name on the thread. If you had, he may have removed it. Let your fruit declare you a christian, just what is important about having his name on that thread. It matters not your differences, you have to judge fairly at all times. It may not be entirely wrong to draw his particular attention to the thread, but he is already here, and he has found it uncomfortable, if what you seek is his contribution, then his name should go.

As per your question, even though you didn't exactly say it, but I take it that we agreed on all sins don't lead to death. Eg. Do you think I should be punished in hell, if I did was shout at you in anger saying " Get lost", for driving slowly on a speed lane?

Everybody is shouting catholic church this, catholic church that, where was your church when st peter was murdered and the christians or was it the catholic church took care to retrieve his body and secure his bones through generations till now. Oh all of a sudden it is the catholic church doings and others are free from it. If you call yourself a christian, your history should matter to you, for you could not have practised christianity read from the bible, more than those who studied at the foot of the apostles...and who by the way, preserved the bones of peter first.

Amii did you read that passage? vs 16 says " if you see your brother commit a sin that does not lead to death..." pls read it. You can see he wasn't talking about a brother who has sinned, repented, confessed and forgiven. He was talking about someone who has commited sin. No confession mentioned. If we agree with what the bible actually said in this, we can go ahead with the next one, which is identifying what sin leads to death or not.

babestell: You are very right and I could see on the face of some parishioners that they were not pleased with it, but this is the same cath church I attended last year where during Lent they didnt celebrate mass instead they did a penintential service. so no Eucharist. (i was so mad because that meant for I went without the sacred meal for 3 weeks) Then everyone processed to the front and joined hands with Father and said "forgive father for I have sinned" and he would say some words of contrition. Me prsonallt thought Fada was being lazy, but hey that is the only english speaking church in The Hague, so we must attend it. My colleague said the Dutch speaking ones are even worse that I shldnt bother trying to attend.

If this wasn't a spiritual matter, it will actually have made for a good comic relief.
