For those who cant read or cant think for demselves: this is not yr conventional loaning process where the govt borrows money to do projects but a situatn where govt guarantees CHEAP credit to farmers and private investors in d Agric sector. Its similar to d local Agric Guarantee Scheme where d CBN guarantees single digit interest rates fund from conventional banks to farmers. Here, d FG is guarantee cheap CREDIT from international lending institutns (like China's EXIM bank, world bank and ADB) THROUGH Nigerian local banks (esp development banks like BOI and NEXIM) who can then lend to farmers and oda Agric investors at SINGLE INTEREST RATES using same stringent bank loaning procedures. In d case of d Chinese credit, d conditn bn that those investors that wud want to build Rice mills and Cassava flour processors wud hv to buy them from Chinese manufacturers instead say Western manufacturers....... Like i said previously: Great moves, Adesina |
GREAT moves, Adesina.... |
seanet01: We are marching towards the goal. ACN is moving our state towards greater heights. No more room for mediocrity. South West Oni baje. Obaje Ti!Plz read d article again OKPEE, its d FG dat is pushing dis...stop lying like i told u on d thread on YouWIN..thnx |
afam4eva: People like this deserve to be driven to Ikeja under-bridge and shot in front of ordinary Nigerians with her mouth open and gele on.Sharrap there @afam4eva!... U re supposd to be more intelligent than bliving every tin a low-life writes |
There are just too mani fooolish KIDS on NL...*smh* |
dramenda: their will be nothing like nigeria again in the next 47 year, clueless leader talking about an event thats still 47 years to come.as they say "ONLY IN 9JA"Look at dis one who didnt read the article nor know when Nigerian protectorates where amalgamentd, calling smone else 'clueless'...... KIDS |
Sarcoc: Its so sad that 90% of Nigerians her on naira land are plainly stupid! How can this announcement not be welcomed? Look at the effect of such development in Dubai! East London etc? Do you guys just criticise for the sake of it? PRIVATE SECTOR DRIVEN is the key phrase here. If they build hospitals in S Africa we complain now they want to develop Nigeria some fools are opening their wide mouthsDont be surprisd guy.... NL is increasingly turning into an arena for KIDS and d intellectually challengd (a conditn brought about on sm of dem by HATE)... |

KIDS, Kids, kids........ *smh* |
Let me mk myself clear: i hv not changd my views expressd on dis thread at all yet, but i honestly think dat d article on Ghana TI score and d possibility of a change in d calculatn of d index is interesting enuf to warrant furda clarificatns |
I hate to say dis: but MAYBE @Gbawe has a point..am talking d article on Ghana's TI he postd 1st (not those oda articles like PT and Punch).... Lets await clarificatn on d basis of d calculatn of index usd dis yr (not d ranking which means little) |
lol @ Agege Bread in london.....hope it is cassava-fortified o.. |
I THINK THIS PROMISE HV BEEN LARGELY FULFILLED, ESP ON THE SIDE OF THE FG. The FG promisd two things: they would assist the states govts to obtain the long buses (sm states govt hv already startd receiving this and deploying same as sm persons hv said here) AND they also promisd to help private Transport unions to import these buses at cheaper rates by such moves as removing import duties and VAT on importd buses and broken down components of long buses (that was done dis October)... FG HAS FULFILED HER PART IN ABUJA, ASK YR STATE GOVTS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANY IN YR STATE |
SLS correct die!! |
emmatok: Shut it abegi !Jesus Christ! When did i say we shldn't demand for transparency? Abeg, which comment did u read and then decide to quote mine as if u were responding it?...plz o |
Bwahahaha...i no dis is serious, so why am i laughing....hahaha.. |
Demdem: The same MTN call log which the NJC had listened to and found Salami not culpable. Is there any other log that incriminates salami in ur possesion that hasnt been handed over to NJC? I dont care if salami is sack today but those that were suppose to investigate him and would probably lead to criminal prosecution says he has done nothing wrong. Why do u prefer to stick with Oyinlola's position that salami is guilty but ignore the NJC's position?I hv told him to let dis rest, and am telling u d same tin...the NJC decision on d log was cos of d judiciary. Ask yrself what he was discussing with people whose case u are presiding (smthing that is not done in d judiciary) and why credible groups and individuals (myself inclusive) that were vehemently fighting for him initially hv eida publicly or discretely abandond him?.. Am not saying he did this or that wrong stuff, but there are certain he shldn't hv done and for d sake of judiciary we dont need to investigate furda into it since he has reportedly already decided to retire... Lets rest it |
@Ileke-ileke, na wa 4 u! |
I agree with this submissn of his... Instead of talking of creating new states, we shld even be talking of merging them to say 18 or 24 |
YEs... Our National Figure is 419
Shebi, na ppl like una mk am bi like so, lol....@OP, you are right; we rili hv neva had a national figure acceptable to all sections and strata of d Nigerian nation. I'hv noticd dat too... |
Okay, he is not dead...@OP change d title, its very misleading and its not smthing one shld play with.... Mk all of una tk am easy with d argument |
Gbawe: My guy, I have already put the 2012 TI rating to the logical test to show that our Nation is going down with how so many throw away the keys to their brain to begin celebrating abject failure. That is another sign of a failing state i.e citizens brainwashed to the extent of nauseating sycophancy that makes them see 'progress' when every sane and objective person sees anarchy and retrogression.Complete badash and stu.pidity from you as usual, so no surprises there. Like i told u yterday, writting long sentences meaning nothing, is just dat- nothing.... The score is ABSOLUTE; d country ranking is RELATIVE. The countries score movd from 2.4 to 2.7, dats an ABSOLUTE improvement; d no of countries rankd means little (dats why it is relative)... I know dis is a terrible blow to d narrative d Propaganda Standing Committee of yr party, which you rep here on NL hv bn pushing and relying on in dier Political gameplane, but here there goes it... Hardluck....Propaganda almost always fails eventuali |

Hardluck....Propaganda almost always fails eventuali |
berem: This frogged eyes woman must have smoked dried pumpkin leaves! Biaaatch!!Hahahaha..lol. But is she wrong? We all askd for the cleanup of d subsidy payment scheme, verificatn of real subsidy claims and d prosecution of d thiefs. These are exactly what the govt is doing meticulously; and d main cause of d bottle-necks in supply cos ALL d marketers insistd that they wud not import (or that they wont be able to) cos of banks refusal to lend dem money, in a grand blackmail to force d govt to pay dem moni b4 verification (which failed); verificatn is finished now and sm of d marketers are bn paid now so they are expectd to start importing fuel.... Whateva spin PT usd in reporting dis and distorting her intentions is cos its d Propaganda mouthpiece of sm ppl, and shldn't be surprising |
Prof Corruption: Why are you folks crucifying me? Politics is an expensive venture and that's not peculiar to Nigeria. Billions of dollars were spent on the recently concluded US elections. Nobody raised an eyebrow. Can you state what's wrong in spending funds on advertisement? Why dem dey crucify you? Cos u are a HYPOCRITE..... Hypocrite gan! |
Cokeroo: Progressives for belle, they are all criminals. People like Tinubu should be in jail. ACN is as far as i'm concerned, worse than PDP.. At least PDP dont claim to love Nigerians and they dont hide the fact that its all for their stomach.ACN is just a hypocritical criminal enterprise.Kai! See yarning |
take dat: Bros u serious o!hahaha... No bi me fault o. I just cant stand Propaganda and distortion of data, particularly if it done publicly and with 'confidence' |
occam: Comparing 2 data points (last yr vs. this year) is not a trend. Let's see the next 4 - 5 yrs if our score continues to improve. That's how you judge improvement in transparency level. You want to celebrate the 27 score? go ahead, that's okUna see anoda one? Bros did u get that info Gej spends #1billion to feed himself and dat he hasn't cut it? These are d sort of lies u guys say repeatedly... How can sm ppl bliv dier own lies, even afta repeating it |
From 2.4 to 2.7 shows IMPROVEMENT. Arguing against data released by TI is hypocritical, it might also ßξ an indicator that some folks criticise not because they want the country to ßξ better, but because they are just being Partisan and tribalistic.... That said, I think there is still enormous work to ßξ done in tackling corruption in Nigeria. Corrupt elements must ßξ prosecuted and jailed. That will no doubt convince most pple that the govt is genuine in its Anti-Corruption fight...
Agree with every thing you said here...no doubt more needs doing; no doubts |
kulutempa: If it's absolute why do they have rankings like FIFA?Who is this one again? |
occam: Holding bragging rights over countries like Eritrea, Somalia or Tajikistan is improvement? We're still neck and neck with Pakistan, a perennial offender and true symbol of corruption. This is d most FOOOLISH comment here; well done. 'if you ask Nigerians they will tell u that corruptn is same or even worse dan 15yrs ago', *smh*. Who told does gullible Nigerians to think so (assuming it is even true) if not for the LIES and HALF-TRUTHS that goons like u churn out? Who shld we bliv: data from TI or data from desperate power mongers and dier agents? You, my frnd, mk Mr. Stu.pid look wise |
philips70: And you tell me what is there to commend when in the same year we have several cases of unresolved massive corruption like FAROUK, MANITOBA, ADOKE, etc all in the midst of a toothless anti-corruption agency who continue to advertize their inability to prosecute high level financial crimes for some very known reasons. Brother, tell yourself and your future generation the truth-No progress has been made so far and none in sight with the current lukewarm pattern of our current president who himself have been named in several of these cases.See what we are just talking about? Peeps churning out stuffs from their ANUS and passing it off as 'gospel'. Plz Bros tell us about MANITOBA and ADOKE. What do they mean? Abeg be fast... |
