honeric01: I don't have to waste time on your likes because they are good at covering truth.

without much ado, you can help yourself through the numerous news posted on this forum where THE PRESIDENT HINTED THAT HE KNOWS THE SPONSORS OF BOKO HARAM AND ALSO THAT OF MEND. except you want to act like the proverbial ostrich, you shouldn't even bring up this issue.
I EVEN gave you a date of the one about MEND and also that of Boko haram when it happened, IT WAS AIRED LIVE ON TV (CHANNELS AND AIT when he was shedding the normal fish tears).

Azazi’s problem with Jonathan had to do with the tactics of arresting the security situation. Azazi believes that the sponsors of Boko Haram should be fished out and prosecuted for terrorism while Jonathan believes that the names involved are too weighty that a political backlash could occur which is capable of affecting permutations for 2015.There is a reasoning that some of those involved may be handy in the next election. The names that frequently pop up in every security reports as sponsors of Boko Haram included a few from opposition party and majority from the ruling party.
Just look at dis guy! It seems u hv no idea who u are dealing with here. Play of Words and propaganda wudn't work here; it wud be taken apart and shred to pieces... That guy and yrself said that 'GEJ SAID he knew the sponsors of BH, including those in his govt' - that was the claim, assertd unambiguously and repeatd severally. I simply askd u and d guy to defend d claim and provide links where Gej SAID dat line, and u decide to provide links telling me what smone else blivs or thinks. What the Bishop blivs (and with all due respect to him) is just as 'potent' as yrs: just mere PERSONAL blivs (by d way, i also bliv that there are northern political who are involvd in all these mess, but was mainly at d beginning cos d monster is beyond them now and their major was nt to do anything to initially try to solve d problem at d start- this is a personal belief though); it is diff from saying Gej SAID- dat is d lie....if u are nt willy to show me where he SAID, then plz stop wasting my time; hv lots of things to do, k?

joseph1832: @taharqa! You made mention of the US and her allies keeping high value terrorist in detention facilities... So they can only keep them there cause they caught them right? So why is our own government trying so hard to negotiate with terrorists! The U S has a slogan "they don't negotiate with terrorist" why is our government looking for every means necessary to negotiate with cold blooded murderers?

You seem to know a lot about the Federal Government, am surprised you didn't know when GEJ said his government is highly compromised! And you here insulting people calling them eeediots! My friend I pity the likes of you who allow tribalism and religion to lobotomize you, and become your modus operandi!

People like you voted GEJ out of pure tribal and religious sentiment. It is because of advocatus diabolis like you that Nigeria remain a backward country.a
1st of all, i didnt vote for GEJ but I SUPPORT HIM NOW (that shld be a no-brainer, right). But you are wrong my frnd if u think anything i hv said on dis thread is cos i support GEJ; its way more than him..... By d way, who told u d US 'does not negotiate with terroists' hahahahaha..so u bliv dat d US hv nt negotiated with any 'terroist' group since d 1970s when they startd mouthing dat line and made it a policy? Eva heard of 'backroom channels' in these sort of matas? Just an eg, u know d Talibans right? U shld, as just about every 'international' body including d US itself regard them as a terroist group and a top supporter of terror worldwide; yet d US is currently negotiating with them in Afganistan, Pakistan and openly in Qatar. Why? This is d group that is perhaps responsible for the single biggest deaths of US soldiers since the Korea war. Eva heard of the stori bw d UK and d IRA? U know tk d advice i gave u previously when u responded to @maximilano : there are certain things way beyond yr head that u wud need a diff perspective to look at....... Oh, less i forget-i am PERSONALLY strongly against d Nigerian govt negotiating with BH, but am humble enuf to know that my personal opinion is inconsequential to those ppl handling the current terroist/security challenges in d nation. They wud do whateva they bliv is best for the majority of d ppl of dis nation and for the nation itself regardless of what i personally feel. Have a good day Sir.

Now assuming this #6.2billion is actuali to be usd for publicity (whateva dat means), then it is both wasteful and stu.pid. Howeva, i seriously doubt it; and what to see d Minister being directly quoted as saying it, and also importantly wud want to see the breakdown of the proposd Budgetary spending. Since Oct, many Nigerian newspapers reportd that the Presidency was going to use #1.3billion to feed itself cos they saw d sum as d amount proposd under the heading 'food, entertainment and other expenses' when the actual amount meant for food and entertainment for thousands of ppl (villa residents and guests) was #203million when the details of d that budgetary heading was releasd. Moreova, only #17million was approvd for publicity dis yr from d article, so it hard to bliv dat #6.2billion wud be usd for 5 yrs when only #17m was appropiatd in d main yr of lobbying for the bill..... Lets find out the details sha, and if it is true that #6billion was actuali proposd just for publicity (again, what d heell does dis mean), then it is most wasteful and shld not be approvd by d NA, period

There is a reason why most of d planners of Sept 11 attack hv been kept at Guatanamo bay and away from d court system for more than 10yrs. Almost complete thrash! Ask yrself how this $31bn (#5tr) was generatd: half of it came from pipeline vandalism and oil theft (imagine dat), some odas were from unverified allegations of corruptn including those that hv bn shown to be false like $50m NCC 'fraud', part of it are figures given by KPMG on reportd fraud in 9jeria most of which are fraud committd by private individuals and companies including banks etc etc. Some however are really directly linkd to govt or public officials like the #25bn Pension fund (alleged perpetuators are already in court) and of course the fuel subsidy fraud (which is the 2nd largest component of the supposd #5trn generatd figure- and cud be #1.5trn if you bliv d House of Reps figures OR #400bn if you bliv figures by a committee of forensic experts- i go with d 2nd figure for now) etc.... Like i said this is almost complete thrash ( 'almost' cos at least some of d figures are arguably correct; thrash cos some of d figures are eida false Or just allegatns still Or fraud said to be committd by ordinary Nigerians and institutns all of which the writer conveniently placd on d feet of GEJ). At d end of d day, this article is a work of PROPAGANDA; dat was d motive of d write-up, and shldn't be surprising seeing dat it is coming from elRufai

Chedarking: What if the hospital did not have the drugs to treat this woman - and had to purchase them?

What if the doctor had no liquid cash to purchase said drugs?

What if the doctor had just used his last cash to treat a previous patient on credit?

What if - just that day, another patient ran off without paying after being treated on credit?

It is easy to say the right things when removed from a situation, but can you actually follow up your words with actions in a similar scenario?

And even if you can, do you expect everyone to do the same?
Yeah i understand the point you are trying to make here. That was why I started that post with this :

Assuming this version is entirely correct (the article didn't bother to provide us the views of the other party)
However, if this version is entirely correct, then every other thing I said in that post stands. Absolutely.

By the way, yes I expect everyone (including myself) to try to do the right things at all times- especially things like doing our best to save a life. This is an irreducible Expectation of any 'normal' human being. Where we fail to do so, then at the very least we shouldn't try to justify it; and should in fact try to invoke the necessary Reprimands for such behavior.

musKeeto: Maybe it's too deep, and ur just scared to fall in.
Not to derail the topic but conside this:
Is abortion wrong?
Guy, making a Decision is actually choosing a (expected or possible) Consequence; there cannot be Decision without Consequences. The value of any Decision (Good or bad) cannot be tied only to Motive (expected consequences) while completely discarding the 'actual' (possible) Consequences. As a matter of fact, the rightness or otherwise of a Decision should actually be cos of the (possible) Consequences of that decision, and not one's expectations ('motives') of the possible outcomes of the decision.

To answer your question: YES I think that Abortion is basically wrong (except on certain exceptions).
Health › Re: Pregnant Woman Dies In Port-harcourt Hospital Because Of Deposit by taharqa:
I just cant understand how any one would even attempt justifying this.

Assuming this version is entirely correct (the article didn't bother to provide us the views of the other party), then this is simply a clear case of Man's inhumanity to another, period; and the actors in this terrible drama should be arrested ASAP and tried for MURDER.

For some persons invoking 'Business' and the often unreliable attitudes of 'customers', need I remind you that this is a case of EMERGENCY (in the truest sense of that word cos 2 lives were at stake here), meaning EVERY person or institution (not least Doctors/nurses and hospitals) is bound to provide any service which can aid the saving of the lives at stake at the time- the issue of 'business' and concerns over one's experience with 'customers' should not arise in such instance at all.

Very sad that these two had to die this way; very troubling that 'normal' peeps can even have the heart to attempt to justify it.
Health › Re: Pregnant Woman Dies In Port-harcourt Hospital Because Of Deposit by taharqa: 10:31pm On Dec 01, 2012
