How is her logic/argument a strawman? What is d diff bw tracking a car (property) and tracking a human being ('property')? How is it okay for a woman not to be allowd to drive a car Or to be forcd to always walk-around with a male escort? Is this not what BH and those extremists in northern Mali want as one of their core religious demands/ideologies? What then is d diff bw many of you guys justifying this and d extremists. Little wonda BH is still flourishing in parts of d Upper north

acidtalk: Bad belle of wetin now?
Because he is eating N3million worth of food everyday and he keep getting st*upid everyday or because his wife can speak english that can wife out the whole of Israel in a minute?

I am speaking for the man out there too scared to talk. My brother people are finding it hard to survive. I get loads of e.mails, calls and text messages every single day from total strangers and I hear the same cry of poverty and starvation. Currently trying to persuade 3 people not to commit suicide. One is from that useless man's state. So if people are still putting the "ethnic and religious" sentiments to select a leader, what happens when they get into office and totally forget to do the simplest of things like construction of road in their own town?
You shameless pips are still repeating this LIE (sorry, Line) that 'GEJ feeds himself with #3million everyday', abi? Una no know say that lie don dey busted since? You guys just took the Budget Sum under the heading 'Meals, Refreshments and other Miscellaneous expenses' for the whole of the Villa and simply divided it by 365 and viola it becomes: 'GEJ spends #3million to feed himself everyday'! Of course for Propaganda purposes, no need to really read through the Budget details. This was how some of you also said in October that 'GEJ and his vice would be using #1.3billion to feed themselves' next year (2013), again without looking through the details.

Anyways, the details of that sub-head has been widely reported in Nigerian newspapers recently, and we now know that only #203million is actually to be used for Meals and Refreshments out of the #1.3billion sub-head. We also now know that unlike the LIE you guys were peddling about, this #203million would actually be used not just for the 1st and 2nd families but also the hundreds of workers in the Villa (including the Domestic staff), for hundreds of people that visit the Villa every other week, for Visiting Dignitaries including State Dinners, for Presidential Retreats and hosting (eg like the one organised for the successful ParaOlympians recently), for FEC meeting 52 times a week, for Council of State meeting etc. When last did you even have the opportunity to know the amount of money Aso Rock uses to feed 'itself' item-by-item (a sort of 'state secret' before now)?Like I said that LIE have been totally busted; you guys should find another one abeg.

It is also a pity that you goons would openly say that 'GEJ is the most wasteful President in the Nation's history'! How on earth that is even remotely correct completely escapes me? I mean on what parameter was this arrived at: Overhead costs, Recurrent Budget, Deficits or what really?
GEJ has reduced Overhead votes
from N526billion in 2010 when he came in to N266billion in 2012 to projected N230billion in 2013(next year)-and this is the main measure of cost of Governance.
He also reduced Recurrent Component of the budget from 77.43% in 2010 to 74.43% in 2011 to 71.47% in 2012 to around 68.7% in 2013(next year).
He has also reduced Budget deficit from 3.35% of GDP in 2010 to 2.96% in 2011 to 2.85% in 2012 to projected 2.17% in 2013(next year).

Of note is that each of these cost measures increased almost every year since 1999, and GEJ not only stopped that trend but actually started to reverse it. He is also on the verge of implementing what is arguably the most radical Rationalization of the many redundant/duplicated Agencies of Govt via the Oronsaye's report. A wasteful president that has increased the foreign reserve to levels higher than when he 1st met them (ie to a more than 2-yr high of $46billion - though it decreased previously under him). Again, how can he even remotely be the most wasteful President ever? Only in you guy's HATE-FILLED minds, perhaps?

The argument can very certainly be made that MUCH MORE still needs to be done to cut cost (both on the Federal sides and the states and LGs) but to say that the costs have increased or that they are not decreasing is a LIE only shameless PROPAGANDISTS like your guys, can fathom.

Politics › Re: N5tn Stolen Under Jonathan –Investigation by taharqa: 1:18pm On Nov 25, 2012
Sincere 9gerian: This report by the publicity arm of ACN (Punch) is a naked and WICKED lie. It is shocking that any sensible person will believe the conclusion by the Farouk report that N2.6trillion (part of so called Punch phantom total of N5trillion stolen by GEJ) fuel subsidy fund was stolen in 2011. First and foremost is that the records of the finance ministry and CBN show that about N2.1 trillion was the total amount spent on subsidy in 2011. A good percentage of this fund was used to bring in fuel in 2011 as CONFIRMED by the fact that most part of Nigeria was WET with fuel, fuel was everywhere and sold at official price of N65 in 2011. No single scarcity was recorded in 2011. I challenge anyone to dispute this FACT. This does not however rule out the fact that fraudulent marketers used weaknesses in the system to steal some of the money. But the narrative of Punch and Farouk, that ALL the N2.1 trillion budgeted for fuel subsidy in 2011 was STOLEN is a WICKED and DEVILISH lie, believed only by FOOLS.
Those who are wise and with brains should have asked Punch why it gave us the total subsidy payment for year 2006, 2007 and 2008 only? What about subsidy payments for 2009 and 2010? Was subsidy not paid in those years? Almighty God will punish those who use deliberate distortion of facts and lies to push cheap for political gains. Punch deliberately omitted those years because the subsidy payments were high- around N500 to N700billion. Punch should have also told Nigerians the official pump price of fuel vs landing cost of imported fuel in those years.
It is also SHOCKING that crude oil theft was added to the Punch fiery tale of N5trillion stolen by Jonathan and Patience. Ladies and gentlemen, is GEJ the person stealing crude oil all over the Niger delta? Even GEJ had recently given a marching order to the security forces to stamp out crude oil theft.
Another issue that i find disturbing is the attitude of the opposition always attempting to steal the show in govt's attempt to sanitise troubled sectors. It usually begins by Govt setting up a committee or panel to investigate certain issues or a sector and make recommendations. All of a sudden the opposition will hijack the either the committee or the findings and now labels the govt as crook or as one trying to hide something. This development is unfortunate.
Now God bless you. You said most of what i wantd to say...imagine that half of this supposd '#5trn' came from pipeline vandalism and oil theft in d ND..abeg, let me go cool water joor, the weather is hot

Politics › PHCN Privatization Update: Preferred Bidders Provide N52.9bn Bank Guarantees by taharqa(op): 12:17am On Nov 25, 2012
The Bureau of Public Enterprises on Friday received bank guarantees worth over $300m, or N52.9bn, from preferred bidders for the successor companies of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria.

The agency, which made this known in a statement signed by its Head, Public Communications, Mr. Chukwuma Nwokoh, said the guarantee was in line with the payment mechanism for the sale of the generation and distribution companies.

A breakdown of the figure showed that the preferred bidders for the distribution companies submitted bank guarantees valued at over $100m, or N29.7bn, while bidders for the generation companies provided guarantees worth $147,378,680.15, or N23.2bn.

The statement said the National Council on Privatisation had approved the payment mechanism on October 29, at its sixth meeting for 2012, which took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

It explained that the process involved the submission of an additional bid security in the form of a letter of credit or bank guarantee for 15 per cent of the transaction value to the BPE.

“The preferred bidders are required within 15 business days of notification from the BPE to submit a “Preferred Bidder’s Bank Guarantee,” the statement said, noting that the deadline for provision of the bank guarantee was Friday, November 23, 2012.

Based on the process approved by the NCP for the privatization, the BPE is now expected to invite the preferred bidders for negotiation; a process BPE Acting Director, Electric Power Department, Mr. Ibrahim Babagana, recently said was likely to start in the first week of December.

Explaining the process further, the statement said, “Within 15 business days after signing of the Sale and Purchase Agreement, the Shareholders’ Agreement or the Performance Agreement, whichever is earlier, or at a mutually agreed earlier time, the bidder shall make a down payment of 25 per cent of the share purchase price.”

It said that after paying 25 per cent of the share purchase price, the bidders would be given their bank guarantees back.

It said, “Within six months after signing of the Sale and Purchase Agreement or the Shareholders’ Agreement, whichever is earlier or mutually agreed upon time, the Bidder will be required to pay the outstanding 75 per cent of the share purchase price to complete the transaction.

“After this, the successor company will be handed over to the preferred bidder, concluding the
