Also, I think this is also one of the ‘internal party matters’ that the Supreme Court has always ruled in favor of that party against external parties or individuals.

Same as the double nomination of the VP which though against the law but an internal matter.

The only people that have standing to sue in this cases are internal individuals from the party.
They are 2 different issues, they didn't change their mouth. At the election tribunal, someone that contested from another party can challenge the eligibility of the candidate of another party. However, a person from another party cannot challenge the eligibility of a candidate from another before the election, having not contested against the other person. You must contest against the other party before you can challenge a candidate's eligibility.

Nigerian judiciary is a disgrace. I thought that in recent decision of the Supreme Court as we all read in PDP case against Shettima, they said PDP cannot question the nomination of Shettima since only a party member can question the internal matters of a political party. Now they have changed their mouth.

Well, we will get to see about the "NNPC not dying" stuff. Same thing Nigerian Airways thought, same thing NEPA thought and same thing NITEL thought. It is a rule, all inefficient entities must go into extinction sooner or later. It is the same reason why some animals that used to be in charge of the earth went into extinction. NNPC must shape up or ship out!

The marketers do not need to sell at the same pump price that NNPC sells. In a strictly competitive environment it is NNPC that would die a natural death if it doesn't improve it's competitiveness. Like I predicted the "death" of NITEL some years back I foresee the NNPC dying naturally if the organisation doesn't re-invent itself.

It's great that you're actively seeking opportunities to enhance your skills during this waiting period. Learning a trade like gas filling can be a valuable skill. Additionally, considering software skills that are in demand, you could explore learning coding languages like Python or web development skills. As for volunteering, you can reach out to NGOs, community centers, or tech start-ups in Lagos to inquire about volunteer opportunities that align with your interests. Networking through professional Crypto platforms and attending local events may also help you find connections. Best of luck in your job search and skill-building journey!
As a software developer and AI specialist, I would not advise the op to go for python or any other language because of the short time frame he has to learn. Instead, he can go for digital marketing instead and begin to grow his skills. Of course he may not gain total mastery of all aspects of digital marketing such as inbound, outbound marketing. He can zero in on Google Analytics. I say this because marketing is one skills that everyone would need if they want to grow. It could come in handy for selling one's skills, services or products.

We (including the names you mentioned) are all a product of a system where people don't think well. You cannot give what you don't have. The school system is in shambles; that's why you laugh at them and fail to understand what's called strength in diversity.

My point is, it's okay to celebrate yourselves and your success. However, bringing others down or laughing at them while doing that attracts a lot of negative energy (hate). Don't complain when the seeds you sow germinate. A word, for the wise, is enough.
I hate to get involved in this tribal and ethnic discussions but it looks like these people do not understand that ethnocentrism does no one any good at the end of the day. It makes one to under estimate the strength of other ethnic groups and it makes one over estimate the abilities of one's ethnic group. I pray our people listen to your wise counsel.

Something is fishy here. In naija, you can't fight big orgs and win. Too bad!
This was a simple fight for the young lady, trust me if her claims were true several lawyers of Igbo extraction would happily sue JAMB on her behalf pro Bono. That said, JAMB has asked anybody whose relative has an exam slip for this year to come forward because they stopped issuing this type of slip since 2021. No one has disproved this assertion.

I think that this event has taken on a life of its own and the annoying thing is that the public goading on the girl has forced the hand of the authorities to invite DSS to investigate the issue. At this point JAMB should allow the investigation to continue and any wrong doer must be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others that may be entertaining such thoughts in the future. We cannot continue to be a country of lawlessness.

There is every possibility Jamb uttered that little girl's result.

2009 Jamb I wrote the result was 214 my Physics then was 33, after some weeks we heard Jamb is upgrading their score due to error in certain subject and me been sure of my physics and the possibility of me having such a ridiculous score.

I rechecked again, my physics jumps to 67 from 33 and the total score went from 214 to 248. That same result got me admitted into Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

So Jamb is not left out in this scenario and I believe those that wrote Jamb 2009 will testify this.
While I am not disagreeing about the plausibility of your personal experience as you claim, this girl's experience differs from your case. If there was a general issue as it was in your case her case would not be isolated. Jamb has stated clearly that they have stopped issuing slips since 2021 and they have asked anyone who has a similar slip to the girl's own to come out with it. People shouldn't push this girl further into trouble. If she is prosecuted and sentenced she will be alone and all the cyber supporters won't anywhere to help her.

How else could JAMB have handled this better? The whole institution was accused of tribal bigotry regardless of the fact that the person with the highest scores is still Igbo. Lots of foolish tribal people want to push this girl into trouble. At this point, JAMB should allow a thorough investigation and all parties found culpable should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, so that next time people would learn their lessons of not pushing the limits of their luck.

If it's a technical error, lets move on.
I honestly disagree with your position on moving on if this problem is due to a glitch. If it is a glitch, I will expect this young girl to be compensated for wrongful accusation and the JAMB registrar would need to step down because he would be guilty of falsely accusing the girl. On the other hand, if investigation shows that she is culpable, then she needs to be prosecuted alongside her co-conspirators; we must learn to attach consequences to people's actions and inactions in this country.

Everyone knows why sanwoolu is doing all these giragira. It's not a must that a particular tribe votes you or your party and that's where tribalism sets in. That's not democracy. Democracy is when 2 siblings joined different parties and voted based on their conscientious analogies. When you see people punishing a tribe for not voting you or party, I wonder what you call that.
Well the baffling thing for me is how you brought Sanwo-Olu into a post talking about the Anambra state Local Govt authorities demolishing shops in Anambra? How does that connect with Sanwo-Olu? Is it that you commented without reading the original post or is there dissonance somewhere? You didn't even address the authorities demolishing the shops in this instance! Is everything okay? Perhaps you read the topic and not the post itself which in itself is inexcusable. I advise you to read the post, perhaps you will spot the dissonance.

This is my advice... Let ibos go and develop the international market, create even more in the south east. Get the fg licence to build a private ports. We will all be begging them to return in neaer future cos our people aren't wired to take up their trading prowess. That's God's gift to their generations. God had endowed each region with unique ideas. We depend on each other to thrive and live. I wonder what they're afraid of. By the time our giovt see our IGR drop sharply, they'd come back to their senses but then, it would have been too late.
It is okay to encourage the Igbos to do everything humanly possible to develop the East and every patriotic Nigerian should support that idea in any way that they can. This original post is about the Anambra state govt demolishing shops and you somehow brought in the SW leaders. What is the nexus?

I wonder what you intend achieving with the way you talk down on your own people at every opportunity. When the South westerners built the first Television in Africa, which the military govt later converted to NTA, who helped them built it? Many other interventions that have now been converted to national properties were built by the South Westerners and that feat can and will still be repeated. The Yorubas have a name for the child that points to his father's house with his left finger.

My brother, you don't care to know. Some folks aren't getting jobs from their agencies anymore like they used to. Of course, competition happened because of influx of migrants. The inflation is biting harder and people are tightening their belts. Do you know what it means to turn up at the gate and they tell you sorry mate, "there ain't no work today". It is not easy anywhere at the moment. Of course, there are many people who have nice paying jobs in the UK just as there are people making their dough back in Naija. It is different strokes for different folks.

My post is not about discouraging Nigerians from migrating though. However, I advise individuals to do whatever works for them. People should be guided by their individual circumstances. Because Naija isn't good for some people doesn't mean that some people aren't steadily cashing out legit.

The subsidy removal has affected everything including the way of life of many people here in Nigeria. In my office today, many guys now come to office few times in a week just to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal.

Then the culprit is praying that the court prosecutes the person aiding it's judgement. Looks like a movie script. Smh!

Law and order keeps the society floating, restrains people from crime, holds people accountable for their actions. Protects lives and properties. Brethren at this rate, where the political class now runs to the judiciary to do their bidding, we're headed for disaster.
My brother this country can be anyhow. Don't be too quick to judge the Mba guy. I say this advisedly because I have seen several instances of administrative and institutional lapses in this country.

Why is the NYSC hiding under the issue of jurisdiction if they are so sure the NYSC certificate is forged.

So what is renunciation of citizenship by adult?
Very good question. Issues like these would help our people to understand the laws that govern them.

The process of renunciation of Nigerian citizenship by birth contains multiple steps. Renunciation is not done by taking the oath of allegiance of another country alone.

After taking the oath of allegiance of the other country, the person seeking to renunciate his/her citizenship by birth will write a letter of application to the Nigerian authorities with evidences documenting the naturalisation of the new country (this includes a letter signed by the officials of the other country whose citizenship is being sought). The applicant will also pay an application fee of #50,000. Thereafter, the Nigerian authorities will process the application.

The decided position of the law is what the poster you quoted just stated. Perhaps the constitution needs to be reviewed but the politicians whose children are mostly affected by the dual citizenship issue aren't likely to favour an amendment. Because doing so would mean cutting off their children from seeking political offices in Nigeria.
