goshen26:As good as the suggestions is, electronic voting through registered phone number is not ideal in Nigeria context. Apart from double vote and exploitation of unsuspecting Voters (using their mobile phone unaware), it will expose the identity of the voters and who they voted for. This is what Nigeria electoral law is protecting, hence, the only viable option we have now is electronic accreditation. Electronic voting can only be possible with visual gadgets (large/medium touch screen) place in a position where only the current voter can see the screen with a score board. When a voter votes, the score board shows an increase in vote counts and after voting, the Presiding Officer instruction the system to analyse the votes. The scoreboard then shows number of votes per political party displaying the highest vote first. The second thing is to ask questions, is there any country using electronic voting? How was the voting process? Are all eligible citizens allow to votes or voting was done through a few selected representatives? Getting answers to this will give us insight on how possible an electronic voting can be actualised in Nigeria. |
idom101:Always choose happiness over success. Success without happiness is a failure. When you are happy, you are fulfilled, and will succeed with time. |
universe26:The sense is that if those two things actually happen, he will be in jail and not deported. So literally, the stated crime might not be true as it happened in UK. If you know UK, you will understand better. |
Why hide my post pointing out the duplication of a thread with different titles on the Frontpage. I don't understand the mods...

The certificate is valid as long as the date of birth is the same with the lost one. But you surely need affividate to support the lost of old birth certificates and have a copy of it. |
kingmekus:that is additional N11,000 on every N100,000. So people who are earning N500k will now earn N555,000. And some of this civil servant earned close to N1m monthly salary. |
Bluffly:First sensible comment I can see. From the post, we have ” Organized labour has out of its patriotic disposition demonstrated a great deal of restraint, consideration and patience with government. In the course of negotiations for consequential salary adjustment, organized labour had to moderate its initial position of having 66.6% upward salary adjustment for workers on salary grade level 07-17 by accepting an upward adjustment of 29% for officers on salary level 07-14 and 24% adjustment for officers on salary grade level 15 – 17.So labour do not know that the purpose of fighting for minimum wage is solely for those that are less paid and not those who are well paid. Most importantly is the percentage rate of increasing those that are well pay must be determined by the ability of the employer to paid. Seriously, the initial and new rate proposed by the Labour is totally uncalled for, so somebody already N500k should now be earning N620k. And the same Labour know fully well that over 60% of the current national budget goes to salaries and allowance of their members. They want capital development and security, reduction of taxes but want the budget of salaries and wages to be close to 75% of the total budget. |
Ghostty:First thing, what is your career path? Do care to become a marketer? Do you have the skills for marketing and can cope with the stress? You see, the first thing to consider is your skills and passion for the job. On the monthly pay, it is nothing to worry about as your first official job. It will expose you to the marketing experience. In simple terms, you can accept with the notion that you receive stipend in order to gather experiences. One good thing about marketing is that you can easily get more better job, when you master the act and God favors you. You can use your marketing time to look for better job and attend interviews. But if you have a totally different career path, please do not accept the offer. |
Respeckk:Had miscarriage, please consult a doctor. The possible solution will be surgery. Mind you, she is aware of it but she does not know the solution. I am sure she will be happy to hear from you having a solution. But before you have a talk with her, consult a doctor and have idea of the cost involved. |
From day 1, I knew that company was a fraud. |
naijatjboy:Commence training with Access Bank, you are not sure if you will be successful in the UBA interview. |
New information as suffice that Buhari answer was actually correct as misinterpreted by many of us including myself. I got to know about this from a twitter handle @jeffphillips1, he tweeted: Gimba, you must not know everything - to be honest, I felt same way when I first saw this video but did a little research and found out what her question meant. And one Evans replied by paraphrasing the question for better understanding, he tweeted: "President Buhari, Nigeria has a very young population, perhaps you might highlight what a pathway for a resilient future looks like" to me meant

Our prayer. But will the Generator, Oil and Gas Cabals ever allow us to get those refineries working at optimum in Nigeria? Anyway, all Nigerians must come together and fight for the realization of ALL refineries (public, private/mini) in Nigeria to be working at full capacity because the tendency of achieving lower cost of living and higher standards of living is very very high with refining locally. |
Acidosis:Okay, I can understand the deposit part but I bet you if all trader people start adopting paying through POS, buyers will adjust. All they need is for their market leader to connect with one or two telecom companies for better internet connection. Alternatively, they can register their business to enable them deposit above N500K. At least, all business with turnover of millions should register with the government. |
Acidosis: msmon:Or alternatively, the seller should get a POS and encourage his/her customers to pay through it. Another benefit for genuine market people that this policy will affect is that the incident of fake notes, juju money, thief and robbery will reduced to the barest minimum. The issue of my sale girl/boy is stealing my money will be forgotten, many are the benefits for all, except the issue of compromise of passwords and pins on one's account. What many do know is that this policy will affect Politicians, can reduce kidnapping/money laundering businesses. What I am very sure was that Sanusi was technically sacked because he was hell bent to implement this Cashless Policy to the letter. |
Truthbites:Maybe we can look at the post through this len, it is possible. |
Faux, I think the guy who tweeted that tweet saw that word "FAUX" or is it that our Nigeria Police Tweeter account is handled by an illiterate or primary 6, or sorry Basic 6, certificate holder? Because, at least an O' Lever certificate holder will understand that word FAUX. |
Congratulations to you. May Almighty God bless and protect your family. |
With those prices, Nokia has same specifications with same amount. Better buy a Nokia phone than buying OPPO phone with such prices. |
Delivering the judgment, the three-man tribunal, led by Justice D.D. Adeck, nullified elections in some polling units to declare Olujimi the authentic winner of the polls. The Tribunal should have order for rerun as the difference is just approximately 2,700 votes except the total number of registered voters in the nullified polling units is less than the difference. Another thing is that, there is possibly of INEC nullifying some polling units earlier but declare winners because the total registered voters are not up to the margin of difference. In real sense, adding the already INEC nullified polling units with that of the Court, I have the feeling that the numbers will be more than 2,700 registered voters. MicheyJ1:Forget as usual, if a judgement is not validly given or given without considering ALL relevant laws, it will be overturned. And I have the feeling that this judgment was pronounced wrongly, the Tribunal should have order rerun in the affected areas. But wait ooooo, when Supreme Court overturn Tribunal and Appeal court's judgement that was initially in favour of APC, it was... What? |
TheLawyer:Good day, Please I need you to elaborate on the Stamp Duty things more, particularly as it relates to Ogun State and family selling to individuals. 1. CallMeDrino:If his hand is clean with clear mind, he wouldn't think of suicide but how to use his last drop of blood to clear his name before leaving this wicked world. I assume he remembers the former CJN case, no matter how highly you are even as a judicial officer, you will be disgraced if your hands are not clean. Better to die than being disgrace internationally. At the last two paragraphs, that is a very poor defense. Coloring the matter with politics to draw sympathy and cause political instability that may lead to yet another ethical wars is too low of him. |
DennisEche:Union Bank has been one of the first, only that the on and off thing applies to ATM (Debit/Credit) cards only. You can turn off your ATM cards using ONLINE, MOBILE AND USSD, and turn it on at your convenience. It will help to stop fraudulent online transactions using your ATM details. |
Olominira:I never looked at that angle. To those who believe the visit is wrong or show weakness or incompetence; Just imagine you have five children and you are told that thugs are beating two of them and have already killed one in nearby town where they live. What will be your reaction? 1. sit at home forming boss, sent the family of the thugs that lives in your street away, lock up your gate against them and be waiting for the parent of the thugs to come to your town possibly in villages square to apologise and beg you. 2. Immediately sent ahead of you, your own trusted people to intervene and rescue the two children, and make sure that you are fairly compensated for the killed child. Also, personally visit your children and family to commensurate with and meet the parents of the thugs to find and secure commitment that your remaining children live safely and peacefully. |
daddymummy:You can not be witch, I mean what we know as real witch, without being aware of it. But when we talk about spiritual associations and affiliations, which may be evil or good one, that many young people may be a member without them being aware of it. This attachment or link may be due to the path ones parent walks while looking for a child or protecting the child from harm after birth, mostly those known family ailments/sickness or death. We also have situations where the person is not directly a member or affiliated to these spiritual associations but was being used as a channel to cause havoc to a family/person. This can be done in two ways, the person maybe possessed by a spirit sent by evil men/association (native doctors, a witch in his/her own capacity, etc) and then start doing things the way the spirit that possess him/her want till the spirit mission is completee. This may last weeks or years, depending to the extent of the mission. The second one is by direct spiritual instruction, this is done when the evil person/associated commands a person to complete a task using a mirror, water, small carved idols, etc. From your narration, Mr. A may have been possessed by a spirit causing those misfortune to people around him. Offering prayers against the person responsible will affect the Innocent Mr. A but the spirit will not not be affected. It will just be a matter of time for the spirit to possess another person (Mr. B) to continue his evil mission expect he has completed his mission through Mr. A. When you hear about deliverance, I mean genuine deliverance, they sent out the spirit out of the person body and forbid the spirit from possessing that body again. |

Hailing for slashing a budget.... Do they know what and why of the budget items that were slash? |
Waste of money. They travel in an unusual way, that is, locked themselves inside a Van. If it was an open van now, there is possibility of them not being arrest by the Police. Considering the current security situation in the country, their means of transportation is highly suspicious. The Police can argue that in court and the action was carried out in good faith and in accordance with their constitutional duties. On their motorcycle and other belongings not being released by the Police, the question is, do they present satisfactory proofs of ownership and the Police still hold on unto their motorcycles/belongings? I just pity them, they are carried away by supports from one political party and ethnic group not knowing that those people have history of giving bad lucks to person/course of action they give their support to. Good luck to them. |
naptu2:Thank you for this, providing the original version of the song. I am very much delighted. But on my request, I actually watched the video, for the first time, on one of the national television in late 2001 or early 2002. The video track I was talking about was sang by up to 10 Nigeria Musicians representing major tribes in Nigeria (Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo). I am very sure of Pasuma, Sunny Neji, Christy Essen, etc. I think Chris Okotie is there too and I am very sure Sunny Okosuns was that takes the vocal lead. I just got to know why now. Seriously, that song was more personalised for Nigeria/Nigerians and the video lasted for about 5 minutes or so. Thank you once again. I may take it from here and see if I can get that very video track I am talking about. |
wagazala:Thank you. The failure rate on Instant transfer to other bank is less than 2%, moreover, for a transaction to be successful the platform of the involved banks must be functional and the internet connectivity/service providers (in case of USSD) of the customer must also be reliable. For Every secured site, there is always enforcement of timeout limit, most financial timeout limit, is mostly in seconds. So even, when the bank platforms and service providers/internet connection are okay, the transaction may failed due to the timeout limit. Most timeout issues are related to the connection (internet / telecoms service) and platform (web browsers, app versions and phone/laptops) used by the customer. Many people do not have updated bank apps or web browsers on their phones and personal computer systems (PCs) respectively. Also, some have low end phones and PCs, such that the device processing time takes longer than usual, very slow in completing basic terms. It is mischievous for the writer to attribute the failed rate of interbank transfer to only NIBSS, without recourse to other factors. Moreover, the writer does not justify his/her conclusions based on verifiable data/statistics. This will have allow us to determine the rate of failure on interbank transactions as we have millions of transactions per day done through NIBSS. Knowing the failure percentage rate will enable the reader to agree or disagree with the writer, is the rate significant or not, considering that no system is perfect without glitches. ***modified*** I just noticed the writer's name. |
