Relax man. Oil would remain valid for another 30 to 50 years. The future of energy is gas, which is more cleaner than oil. Even battery that is the crux of electric vehicle source some of the raw materials for it production from crude oil distillate.

Kudos to President Buhari for this re-nomination although Akinwunmi Adesina himself is an 'underground smooth politician' who has a way of warming up to key stakeholders. Hope he gets re-elected because he is eminently qualified and super smart.

However, at the risk of being misunderstood and badly-tagged, I want to state that I am not sure, apart from national pride, what 'special things' Nigeria has gained from AFDB under Akinwumni Adesina. Similarly, I am still at sea about his accomplishments and policy legacies as Minister of Agriculture. I want to be educated on these if anybody knows.

The greatness of a man is measured to some extent by his ability to bow out when the ovation is loudest. Very few people in power can be like Mandela.

Good move, may I suggest a to do list

1. Transportation: share with us your action plan to ease traffic grid locks on our roads. Nothing has changed!
2. Education: Give us smart education as part of the smart Lagos initiative.
3. Health care... qualitative health care at affordable cost.

Alternatively do a post project cost evaluation after reviewing the BOQ and other activities related to the road construction and decide on the fair value of the project, post it for public scrutiny. Project cost evaluation for road construction should not be a rocket science. Haba Fashola!
