that refinery will break him.
d flour mill was owned by a south African company, Target, I think.
they used him as a front and made him chairman.
they removed him and gave his daughter director.
they later dumped it. I'm sure he was gloating when he bought it off them for small change.
…
by 2040 most western nations would have stopped producing fossil fuel engines.
once Iran and US ramp up production, prices will crash.
so year on year, world consumption is dropping.
Nigeria currently has 2-3 oil tankers on d high seas, without any buyers for our crude.
meanwhile, our present (high) consumption is actually based on smuggling and less than 5% required power generation.
imagine Nigeria with adequate, 24/7 power supply!
who will u sell petrol and diesel to?

Your analysis is fearful but i believe dangote refinery is still a good investment.

So much insecurity in the land urgent need to review the nation's security apparatus state and community policing is the only way forward.

Venezuela uploading. We are borrowing massively to sustain this subsidy scam... how sustainable is this, a silent time bomb is ticking and we are all speaking big grammar...

Thyroid malfunction

I just cant imagine a Lagos without State and community policing in the next 10 years. Why are our leaders so selfish.

Federal Police securing local communities lets continue fooling ourselves! There was a country.

Israel may have just sold a decoy to us and Russia.

State police combined with local police is the only way forward for improved security, intelligence gathering, to ensure that some states such as Lagos that wants to run a 24hours economy can do so in peace; to quickly detect aliens within the community, to have a more organised database of incidences within the locality, to improve security agencies response time to community crises. With the emergence of state and community policing you can now hold the governors accountable for any crises within their state. The vice president is also an adherent support for the establishment of state police. Those shouting that we are not ready for state police, should we also scrap the state legislature. Foreign investors will only invest in a country where there are guarantees of safety of lives and properties. We have over the years seen the pitfalls of a federal police structure with the high level of centralisation and bureaucracy time to rejig the security structure for the benefit of all Nigerians.

Anybody smuggling honey through the border is in for a tough time.

There is a wrong perception that people commit suicide because of economic hardship, if that is true then the suicidal rate in Nigeria should be higher than America.
There are people even in Nigeria who have it all good job, wife, kids and lots of friends, but still one day decide to end it all.
Some have ascribed such behaviour to neurological issue, i cant be the judge, i feel it is important to have a spiritual connection and mediate on the word of God on a daily basis. It goes a long way in removing suicidal tendencies.

People giving literal interpretation to Oni statement are missing the point.
Let me buttress Oni's point of view, When the Devil showed Our Lord and Personal Saviour Jesus the whole world and its riches instantaneously, this indicated the development of satellite technology... What ever is not possible in the spiritual realm can never manifest or come to pass in the physical realm.

Matt 4:8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.

Without State and Local police how do you guarantee effective security within the local communities. it is just sad that we have leaders who simply do not care but rather have a narcissistic agenda to protect some perceived myopic advantage over certain geopolitical zones. The Federal policing structure with the high level of centralization is inimical to guaranteeing effective security within the states. Why have a governor who is only the Chief Security Officer on paper. We can't as a Nation continue like this.

Which way forward, we cant continue like this...

i hope she was not poisoned?

I hope the police station is fully equipped with CCTV cameras, incase oga on top wants to verify how much bribes was collected for the day.

Lol, oil will continue to be in high demand and use as long as human exist.

"The Stone Age didn't end for lack of stone, and the oil age will end long before the world runs out of oil." Saudi oil minister Sheik Ahmed Zaki Yamani in the 2005 New York Times article "The Breaking Point.

The world is now a global village...

Uzoma Dozie violated the golden rule "Don't get your honey from where you get your money".
Diamonds are forever but sadly Nigerians were sold a fake diamond under the management of Uzoma, hence the inevitable epic fail of Diamond Bank.
Uzoma Dozie as the ceo was given a script he couldn't act.
He preferred to have his little gun polished, while the ladies took away the real Diamond!

That is where the leaders with vision are

Nigeria leaders both past and present are vision less

Please read up on Chief Obafemi Awolowo, He was a leader with an uncommon vision.
He tirelessly worked for the greatness of the Nation, sadly Nigeria did not allow him to actualize his dreams

Where is uber, Taxify, Gokada and the rest in this report!

Seun360:
His 5.0 ratings indicates that he just joined the hustle. As an uber/bolts driver, you can conveniently save 50k/weekly provided you own the car.

What you can average weekly is 30 to 35k.. anything above that then you must be blessed with an athletic DNA plus a God fearing and Competent mechanic.

Everybody is now using Boko haram as a scapegoat to migrate abroad. When did Boko haram attack ogun?

Psychological attack is as real as physical attack, so their case for asylum is valid!

Most likely someone did not keep their end of a business agreement

What are the root cause of crime. We need to address the fundamental issues and not just palliative measures

Obasanjo wouldn't have been swept away. Reason being that both Danjuma and Obj were told about the coup by the British weeks before it happened. Murtala was not trusted by the British because he kept telling them he would like the north to be detached from the south. The British warned him several times that the north would suffer if he did but he didn't give them any assurance. The British didn't want to wake up one day to see that the country is gone. So they had to instigate the army to take him out

I know some people will argue about this but let's leave it at that

Yes let's leave as tales by moonlight

I believe they have all the requirements to make a great movie. Bokoharm shelling a city in Northern Nigeria....a young boy playing chess ... confused asking his mother what is happening.... confusion everywhere.... some great writers can make a real life story that will bring in millions including book deals...

Tony elumelu shows off his yoga skills, otedola shows off his ski boots... now comes Mr. Dangote....

In the not too distant future AI robots would be the one performing such surgery, with precision that no human being may be able to mimic.

China has become giant by looking inward and running a technologically driven economy. No crude oil but it is ruling the world without going about unleashing mayhem on their brothers as it is obtainable in Nigeria.

China produces crude oil.

OkunrinOloro:
In the long term a collosal waste of money.

China, India and Germany have already announced that by the year 2030 which is just 11 years away, they would have fully done away with the use of cars which run on fossil fuels.

Indeed, Sheikh Zaki Yamani, a former Saudi oil minister, once said, “The stone age came to an end not for a lack of stones, and the oil age will end, but not for a lack of oil.”

But Nigerians have never been known for long term strategic thinking or planning.

You guys will suffer the consequences of poor leadership very soon.

Your quotation is deep... truth be told our leaders won't suffer they have relocated all their children outside the country.
