State police combined with local police is the only way forward for improved security, intelligence gathering, to ensure that some states such as Lagos that wants to run a 24hours economy can do so in peace; to quickly detect aliens within the community, to have a more organised database of incidences within the locality, to improve security agencies response time to community crises. With the emergence of state and community policing you can now hold the governors accountable for any crises within their state. The vice president is also an adherent support for the establishment of state police. Those shouting that we are not ready for state police, should we also scrap the state legislature. Foreign investors will only invest in a country where there are guarantees of safety of lives and properties. We have over the years seen the pitfalls of a federal police structure with the high level of centralisation and bureaucracy time to rejig the security structure for the benefit of all Nigerians.

There is a wrong perception that people commit suicide because of economic hardship, if that is true then the suicidal rate in Nigeria should be higher than America.
There are people even in Nigeria who have it all good job, wife, kids and lots of friends, but still one day decide to end it all.
Some have ascribed such behaviour to neurological issue, i cant be the judge, i feel it is important to have a spiritual connection and mediate on the word of God on a daily basis. It goes a long way in removing suicidal tendencies.

Without State and Local police how do you guarantee effective security within the local communities. it is just sad that we have leaders who simply do not care but rather have a narcissistic agenda to protect some perceived myopic advantage over certain geopolitical zones. The Federal policing structure with the high level of centralization is inimical to guaranteeing effective security within the states. Why have a governor who is only the Chief Security Officer on paper. We can't as a Nation continue like this.

Uber should be applauded for having a driver time limit. You can not drive on uber for more than 12 hours. Taxify/bolt and other ehailing companies should have driving time limits fortheir drivers. The hustle is real but safety should always come first.
