[quote author=GemstoneJs post=76118071]I love atiku, nobody can have worse economic policies than buhari, the only reason i voted buhari in 2015 was the integrity and anti-corruption wave he was riding on, or more like i was frustrated with the massive corruption going on under GEJs admin...
Bu corruption till APC is voted out... Even if Atiku loses, i'm satified the will of the people prevailed, especially in ss and se, in south-west that was to be on lockdown for buhari, it was a tight battle, close margins across the region, it shows The Yoruba people are really educated and aren't tribal bigots as some online imbecit even the reason i voted him has been defeated, Nigeria is just as corrupt, if not worse than GEJs regime, we won't hear the full details of theles tend to potray them, they have the voice of their own and many aren't satisfied with this administration.... To the South-west, You all fought hard and fought well Nigeria has seen your efforts
To SS and SE, no be today wey dem know say we tire for APC especially SE, since 2015 sef.. To NE, NW and even NC...... i don't even know what to say sef..(only Plateau votes really reflected what has been going on in the region in the past 4years, Kudos to Plateau for resisting tyranny)
at this point lets keep watching and hoping for the best... our God is a living God Atiku go be our president las las[/quote
I feel so proud coming from south west, all the shout that they would vote massively for Apc because of Osibanjo, did not come to pass. Most of us were greatly disappointed in the performance of Buhari. We really dont care were the presidency comes from all we demand is performance measured by improved economy, jobs, security, etc. In state where there is high level of illiteracy that is where Buhari will shine. |

My personal opinion is this ty Bello and gang packaged jumoke with the hope of landing an international movie and book deal. We see such grass to riches stories of people in our African society landing movie endorsements but such stories where not stage managed. Sadly the international media smelt the fakery of it all. Ty Bello and gang just decided to drop jumoke like a hot potatoe. |

iskay1971: My concern is the kind of evil that is fighting againstNigeria. If nothing is wrong with this country then why is the price of our locally produced rice competing with imported rice? Dangote himself has said, he can only sell his petrol at export price, so those expecting dangote refinery to sell fuel cheaper than N145 are in for a long thing. But with all the concessions he has gotten from CBN and the federal government i was hoping dangote would be pushing for N70 per litre. But our business leaders like fleecing the masses, because government allows it. |

Business › Re: What Is Your Worst Business Investment And How Much Did You Lose? by TheAlchemist: 10:34pm On Jan 23, 2019 |
Sharmeenator: This is a recent bad business experience I want to share. I believe one or two people will learn from it. It's a long story but I will try to make it short without losing too much details.
I decided to start a side hustle in 2016; a cyber cafe, business center and payment solutions provider (e.g. IKEDC, DSTV/GoTV etc.). I got a big shop at a nice location, renovated it to look nice and comfortable. The shop was setup beautifully. Customers were given laptops to browse instead of the old PC everyone uses. We were getting positive feedbacks daily and motivations to grow bigger. To cut the long story short, everything was going on well and we were progressing and profiting there until the third month.
My boy called me one morning that he met the door opened with no sign of forced entry. We later leant that my staff was careless with the key, someone must have smartly made a copy from the bunch he carelessly left on the counter. We changed the lock and upgraded the security. 5 laptops, router and money were stolen.
Less than a month later, another burglary attempt was made. This time very forceful; the window was cut opened late in the night and the burglary removed. The most unfortunate part was that no one confessed to hear a sound from the removal (which I'm sure couldn't have been done silently) in the dead of the night. The landlord, a pastor in the church that separates the shop from the resident building wasn't so bothered as no one in the house and his family was targeted. More laptops and money were carted away.
I pleaded with the landlord to allow me to get an "aboki" to stay there at night so he could watch over the shop as the security guards we pay to secure the area are as useless as used diapers. He refused citing religious differences. I was forced to involve the police this time despite hating the idea in involving our men in black. I paid 10k and nothing was done. Detective assigned asked me to investigate personally and call him when I 'catch' thieves I didn't care, we did some diggings and suspected 3 guys; popo man was called and he said he has closed for the day. The following day when we called him again, he lied he was coming and later cancelled the appointment citing official duty despite having tactically delayed one of the suspects. I have sworn never to involve Nigerian police in my affairs again
Almost a week later, a third attempt was made and it became clear we had to leave at least for the sake of our lives. We used less than 6 months there and all these unfortunate events happened within 2 months. We left hastily for another shop not far so we could continue where we left. This decision marked the worst I have ever taken. The new shop, although smaller showed signs of success, so I thought. We renovated it and moved in almost immediately hoping that business would be better there especially with the planned inclusion of Bet9ja and PS2 Gaming. Bet9ja bursted my bubble by not approving the shop, mistake number (I can't tell again). I tried Winners Golden Bet, they answered my prayer but cut it short later when they retrieved their license citing a mistake from them as there was another WGB center not too far off which they didn't noticed earlier. Maybe I would have been given notwithstanding if I had a good connection. I had to settle for Surebet247 which checkmated me to defeat.
Business was over dull in the new environment (no pun intended). Light was over bad (they only have light during our closing hours). We buy fuel of almost 2k everyday despite not making up to 2k (it's that bad) daily. I was practically financing that place with personal money; paid my two staffs from my pocket every month. We did only four months there as that was how far I could personally sustained the business. I sadly laid off my staffs, locked the shop till when my rent expires which was in February this year. I sold off most of the items I didn't give away at ridiculous prices as there was no place to keep them. When I sat down to count my losses, I calculated a loss of 1.6 million (which is surely more than that). I haven't recovered from the unfortunate incidents having spent all my savings. I'm married now with a child this year but I have fallen flat into the same rat-race I was avoiding by attempting to open another stream of income. I will rise, I will fully recover and charge forward. After reading your story i wonder if there is a need to share mine, because if i do i might be accused of plagiarism. i love your can do spirit. |

ybalogs: I sat with my friend in a well-known porridge shop in a neighbouring town of Venice (Italy), the city of lights and water.
As we enjoyed our porridge, a man entered and sat at an empty table beside us.
He called the waiter and placed his order saying,
‘Two cups of porridge, one here, one on the wall.’
We heard this strange order with interest and observed that he was served with one cup of porridge but he paid for two.
As soon as he left, the waiter pasted a piece of paper on the wall saying
‘A Cup of porridge’.
While we were still there, two other men entered and ordered three cups of porridge, two on the table and one on the wall.
They had the two cups of porridge but paid for three and left.
This time also, the waiter did the same; he pasted a piece of paper on the wall saying, ‘A Cup of Porridge’.
It was something unique and perplexing for us.
We finished our porridge, paid the bill and left.
After a few days, we had a chance to go to this porridge shop again.
While we were enjoying our porridge, a poorly dressed man entered.
As he seated himself, he looked at the wall and said, 'One cup of porridge from the wall'.
The waiter served porridge to this man with the customary respect and dignity.
The man had his porridge and left without paying.
We were amazed to watch all this, as the waiter took off a piece of paper from the wall and threw it in the dust bin.
Now it was no surprise for us – the matter was very clear.
The great respect for the needy shown by the inhabitants of this town made our eyes well up in tears.
Ponder upon the need of what this man wanted...
He enters the porridge shop without having to lower his self-esteem…
he has no need to ask for a free cup of porridge…
without asking or knowing about the one who is giving this cup of porridge to him.
He only looked at the wall, placed an order for himself, enjoyed his porridge and left.
Probably the most beautiful wall you may ever see will be our wall of good deeds on the Day of Judgement.
This is what is Charity when you give from one hand & other hand does not know about it.
May the Almighty help us all to spend for the poor and the needy. …………………………………………………………… You are allowed to SHARE the update. Awesome post. Thanks |
