11doubledee:
Sanusi wants to block another bribery scheme by gandollar.sanusi seems to be too sound for gandollar to comprehend.Ganduje should have been the traditional ruler while Sanusi should have been governor.Sanusi should please resign and contest for 2023 presidency.Depending on the opposition candidate,he should have my vote.
Honestly if the north present either sanusi or dangote for the presidency come 2023. They will surely get my support.
PoliticsRe: Senate Passes Bill Recognising June 12 As Democracy Day by TheAlchemist: 12:15pm On May 17, 2019
RichBoy247:
You will still lose more people if you pick up arms against the feferal republic again. Jume 12 is now democrazy day, if you are not pleased, go to work that day, your company will appreciate your dedication to duty. If you want the day your people foolishly declared war on the federal republic, maybe you should sacrifice abiut 2 million more of your people to the Yoruba gods of Ogun, Sango and Obatala, then we will consider declaring Biafran day only to be observed in your potopoto mud republic of drugs and crime.

June 12, 2019 is the day Olusegun Obasanjo will hear the story of his family from his great grandparents to his great grandchildren. He will hear wen that day. Sebi Obasanjo was President for 8 years, despite Afenifere insistence, he still refused to recognise MKO Abiola and June 12. Now a Fulani man has done it and the Senate that have been sleeping since has passed it. Buhari has taken the glory and the bastard son of Igbo Obasanjo shall take the shame. I am waiting to hear what the old foolish men in Afenifere will say that day.
President Buhari we say a big thank you.

The government should construct the ranches, and charge Miyatti Allah for using them.
No govt should set up a transparent bidding process and invite organisations in Texas, new Zealand, Australia and likes that have expertise in building and running ranches. Do a build operate and transfer process to the locals... during those phases the locals would understand the nitty gritty of running a ranch

Why are we reconstructing a 2 Lane Lagos to Ibadan expressway 41 years after it was constructed. It was constructed and opened in 1978.

Nigeria's first dual carriageway. Yet 41 years after we are still reconstructing a 2 Lane road to Ibadan when we should be constructing a minimum of 4 lanes. Are we saying vechilar traffic has not increased.

Over the years there has been a growing disconnect between the rulers and the ruled.. that is why the people really dont care, they can see that their rulers are only after enriching themselves, living flamboyantly in the midst of poverty.
SLS knowing that he occupied a powerless position should have remained apolitical. I can say that the Governor of Kano, surely must have Mr. President tacit support.

Kudos on Dangote refinery, so no modular refineries would be completed before dangote refineries come on stream. I believe it is in the strategic interest of national security to have modular refineries in all the geo political zones of the country to complement Dangote"s effort.... we can not afford to put all our eggs in one basket

PoliticsRe: Ben Bruce Laments About The Rejection Of His Bill For Electric Cars In Nigeria by TheAlchemist: 3:12pm On May 10, 2019
Sufisunni:
mumu. He doesn't think about the economic implication of his bill. He's only after name, as the person who sponsor such bill.

For your information, Norway, Canada Saudi Arabia and recently USA r not part of Paris Climate deal for the single reason they are producing oil, partaking in such deal, will detrimental to their economy. So this fool want Nigeria who has only oil as it main source of revenue to pass electric car bill
No bros, we need to wake up from our slumber, we urgently need to diversify our economy from a crude oil dependant nation to avoid Venezuela 2.0 from happening in Nigeria. We must be proactive and stop all this reactionary policy that comes from our government. We must be ready to embrace a greener future. A policy that encourages ev can only be beneficial to Nigeria both in the short and long run.

When people leave Nigeria, it is not really because of their own present needs. it is to secure a better and brighter future for their Children...
Honestly which way forward... We need to ensure illiteracy is reduced drastically in the North, so that democracy can work.

Nigeria is actually very good if you are focused. A lot of people give up at the slightest challenge. So many people are doing well here and making clean money. If you decide to relocate you better do it in a legal way, if not the frustration that awaits you will make you regret your decision.
What is good about Nigeria is it the multitude of commuter queuing for hours for non existence brt buses. Only the selfish ,self centered would consider Nigeria a paradise

TravelRe: Govt Prepares Staff To Take Over Abuja Lightrail From Chinese by TheAlchemist: 9:07am On May 03, 2019
JudasNaCarrot:
The beginning of the end of that rail is here.

Anything the Blackman, especially Nigerians touches never become same again. The next story will start with no diesel to power the engines, then the trains will be pushed before it starts because someone have embezzled the money for the replacement of the engine batteries. Beggars, Almajiri and all sorts of loads and farm produce will find its way into the couches.

Finally the train station will run out of tickets because no electricity to print new ones.

Tufiakwa!

Africa and indeed Nigeria needs re colonization.
I beg to agree with you

BusinessRe: Dangote Is Selling Dangote Flour Mills For N130 Billion ($361.11 Million) by TheAlchemist: 5:41am On Apr 24, 2019
some weeks back i was sharing my admiration for the owners of biggie foods and drinks, for daring to take on the giant NBC - Coca Cola, 7up and UAC - Gala in a highly saturated market, True Entrepreneurs usually are not afraid of entering a competitive market. The problem with Dangote is that he got a lot of support from government and truth is bitter only thrives in highly monopolistic environment.
The Nigerian Version of so called entrepreneurs are hardly creative simply follow successively trodden paths.

It would not be a crime if Dangote is focused on being referred to as Africa's King of Renewable Energy, for other posters that have expressed their concern about the long time viability of the Dangote refinery, it could be plausible, that is even one of the reasons that Dangote has stated he can only sell his petrol at export price to Nigerians.
I can not be too critical of Dangote, he studied the Nigerian environment and adapted to work within the requirement of the Nigerian environment to survive.
I hope he tries to make a name in the renewable energy industry that is the future.
Anybody can start a business, only those with uncommon vision can sustain it.

debaj10:
that refinery will break him.
d flour mill was owned by a south African company, Target, I think.
they used him as a front and made him chairman.
they removed him and gave his daughter director.
they later dumped it. I'm sure he was gloating when he bought it off them for small change.

by 2040 most western nations would have stopped producing fossil fuel engines.
once Iran and US ramp up production, prices will crash.
so year on year, world consumption is dropping.
Nigeria currently has 2-3 oil tankers on d high seas, without any buyers for our crude.
meanwhile, our present (high) consumption is actually based on smuggling and less than 5% required power generation.
imagine Nigeria with adequate, 24/7 power supply!
who will u sell petrol and diesel to?
Your analysis is fearful but i believe dangote refinery is still a good investment.
