How could they?

Could a pot belly fit in a suit, I wonder? You might as well hide it in an agbada.

How could they, when they're always pregnant alongside their wives - can't imagine their their sex lives when both looks like, Amoeba. undecided undecided

Anyways, suits are smart, individualised universal gears - not necessarily an Europeans culture, any one can wear them including the Japanese and Chinese and they do however, our men look fantastic in them and should be encouraged.

FamilyRe: Picture Of Young Children Hawking Moin-Moin: Child Abuse? by Theblessed(f): 10:52pm On Sep 05, 2011
rabzy:
There is little those kids can bring home to the family and they are way too young. But in our villages some these kids just carry those stuff to deliver to their mother's customers down the road or in the next street. I have not seen kids this small hawking in the streets of Lagos except accompanied by older siblings, and most times they just want to tag along and they cry if you don't take them. So their parents just put a miniature tray on their head ask them to follow their older siblings.

In some rural areas too, schools are so far away and ill-kept with no purpose in the teaching that it would equally be child abuse to send kids to such schools. In Nigeria the fact is, its not all school age kids that their parents can afford to send to school, its not all  kids that are interested in going to school and its not all places that schools are accessible.

i once had a family friend whose first son was always repeating classes and failing while his younger brother had passed him and was two years his senior. The father eventually asked him what he wants to do and the guy said he wants to be an 'eleran', a butcher. He dropped out of primary school and became a butcher. Before he graduated as a butcher or become independent, he had to hawk meat on the streets for his master, initially his master would be with him but later he was doing it himself. By the time he was 17, he was already an accomplished butcher. He could handle a cow and butcher it in minutes and that is what he lives on now. He already had a family long before i could think of talking to a girl.

Yeah, i believe we should all try as much as possible to reduce the number of kids we have. The government must have a policy of enlightenment and the campaign must be sustained. What shocks me most is that after seeing the struggle my parents did to raise us, my uncles also had numerous kids, the average was 7. My parents only had their standard 6 education, but all my uncles on both sides had more than that and they still were having 7, 8 kids.

Though they are not doing badly, their kids did not hawk like we did, they have built their own small house unlike us, but its a risk am not willing to take. Anything can happen in this country, there are no guarantees in this life. Just two days ago, i heard its like one of my uncles has been retrenched, in one of the airline servicing companies, though we have not confirmed it, he was their quality control manager and he was doing quite well financially, but what happens now and he still has little kids. Those ones can't even hawk if push comes to shove because they have lived a sheltered life.

Its wrong for the first child or the first kids to be working and taking care of their parents and also fending for the last ones. Its energy sapping and you can hardly plan your own life.
[b]Guy, where did you get your common sense?

Are there some left over, we could all share, on here?  Your mum raised a perfect gentleman, honest!  And, if you're not married, I envy the woman that would win your heart because, you'd make a perfect Husband and Son-Inlaw.

You think things through and, have so much empathy on others perhaps, due to the hardship you and your sibblings experienced growing up - what a man! You're considering and analysing every aspect of the issues - the implications of such irresponsible behaviour on the eldest children especially, the first and second child of the family who always bore the brunt of most sufferings in the family.

They're usually, the first to be woken up early in the morning to go and fetch water or go sell akamu, akara and for those in the villages, join their mothers and fathers in the farm, before the sun rise - just pray, it wasn't the Harmatan season when you'd be shaking like a leaf in those your small pins! (Hey, childhood in Africa, we're analysing here remember?) grin grin

But, I want to know why we need so many people on earth? What we need, is it not to provide quality life, education, quantum love and affection for our children so that, they do not experience the hard life we endured, from our parents.

Now, considering the picture you painted above and with the level of education you had, I'm sure that experience thought you one thing or two about life.  You don't seem like someone who would embrace 6/7 children like them or, would you? grin grin

Well, they say, 'experience is the best teacher' and I must inform, all young members of our family have learnt from our parents experiences and, I hope others do too, as there's so many people in the world today, with very little resources left to support us all soon, we'll all be eating each other for food, when there's not enough food, to go round.

Hope, everyone remembered what happened 2 year ago, when Rice was scarce in the World Market - that's just a tip of the iceberg of what's yet to come? shocked shocked

Ournaija:
These leaders are talking as if they smoked overdose of weed. Instead of integrating commerce in the region, putting good infrastructures in place and ensuring that poverty is reduced, they are there talking of a railway project that will never see the light of the day from Lagos to Calabar, as if Lagos is Haven. If they cherish Lagos so much, why not create another Lagos in the SS with so much fund generated in the area. Fooolss
[b]That's the issue!

To me, Lagos is like a foam sponge - it soaks up every resources, to tinniest drop of it yet, i no dey show for im body. cool cool

Lagos has been soaking up National resources since Slave Trade (1400's) yet, some part still look like Aba if not worse.  No disrespect here, in comparison, Aba is only a baby with teething problems that can be fixed quickly if Enyimba people could work together as a team.

Please, let's reduce the level of investments being poured into Lagos rather, concentrate on other cities that contributes also, to the growth/development of Nigerian.

You see, Lagos has had it's time.  The day the Federal Government moved out of Lagos to Abuja, that's when Lagos lost it's glamour therefore, give the young a chance to grow their full potential - that's what I say.

It's time Nigeria stop this madness about Lagos, enough money wasted in a city that's already developed it's potential, and if some say she hadn't - what is she waiting for, all these yearshuh? undecided undecided undecided

If in doubt, now check these dates when LAGOS first hit HISTORY book:
[li]The Potugese first visited 1472[/li]
[li]The British colonised 1861[/li]
[li]Lagos became the Federal Capital in 1914[/li]
Tell me, isn't it time to nurture other small towns/cities and let the GRANDMA rest the bones, a bithuh  grin grin grin

Now, waiting for my critics to throw up all those hates lurking inside, for speaking the truth! Go on, bring it up!!!! wink wink

FamilyRe: A Family Member Informing Your Spouse Before Visiting by Theblessed(f): 12:55am On Sep 04, 2011
[b]Your see, the answer to this question is NEITHER / Nor - as our culture neither support the idea nor embraces it.

However, considering that we are living in a supposedly civilised world today, it is appropriate to inform anyone e.g. your inlaws/relatives/friends before you visit instead of throwing yourself and your burden on them because, each day has enough trouble of its own.

Ask yourself this question - what if you turn up at their doors and they'd gone on holiday without letting family know, ehhuh  shocked shocked shocked  In fact that would be a big lesson for you to learn next time, you plan to visit.  We all learn the hard way, don't wehuh undecided undecided undecided

Do the right thing - let them know of your intention to visit, please!

Also, it's time parents learn to respect their adult children and stop treating them like kids.  When your children have got children of their own, its time parents relinquish certain powers/control over their children and instead see them as friends/colleagues without loosing sight of your authority, as a parent.

There must be boundaries both should not cross in adulthood.

FamilyRe: Picture Of Young Children Hawking Moin-Moin: Child Abuse? by Theblessed(f): 4:59pm On Sep 02, 2011
chaircover:
Many of us are forgetting one small detail which is that in our culture children are seen as gifts from God and also as a sign of fertility and prowess.

It is only now that we are beginning to see people gradually cutting down on the number of kids that they have.

Many of our parents had 4 or above while our generation on average have 2 kids.

Truth be told, many of these illiterates don't even know or have access to family planning.

To me, the sad picture that we saw on the first page is everyones responsibility;

The parents to cut down on the number of kids that they have, the Govt to provide jobs so that hard working and able men can work and bring money home without having to resort to child labour etc, the govt also has to provide family planning at grassroot level, and us as individuals to look out for the less privileged in the society and help them when we can. There is nothing wrong with us sponsoring a child or two through school and to pay our drivers and gardeners a decent wage and on time etc.

We all have a responsibility.
[b]Yes Chaircover, you are absolutely right! God bless you for speaking the truth!

But my take is, our men are the culprit here - they should consider their circumstances carefully and tie their sausages very tight on their tighs so that they don't make another innocent child a victim of their own circumstance. grin

Because, our culture gave women no rights over these things - we have no rights over our own bodies, to determine whether we want children or not and how many?

It is the man that dictates the number of children his wife should have and society supports him in that (including women themselves - afterall, we are our worst enemies) and that's the trouble.  The contract is not in written form but it's implied, with pressure on women to submit and they usually do, that's why we are looking at these innocent little girls here, being abused by their own parents and society, abi?

What can a woman do when the Law and Culture are not on her side and she has no backbone of her own - no education, job, trade etc with which to challenge such evil ideas.  You see, risking someone else's life is better than risking your own, abi?  That's why women are pressed to undergo several childbirths, in their husbands quest for more children, they can not afford to feed, how foolish!

The men can only abuse, unfortunate illitrate and naive women and certainly, not someone like yourself and I and there's quite a few of us around you know - that's the worry!!

[b]Did I hear 'Achievement?'  Shame!!

This guy is the worst thing that ever happened to Abia State.

'For evildoers of Abia State shall be cut off' (Psalms Chpt. 37 v.9) and the Scripture goes on to say,

'I have seen a wicked and ruthless man flourishing like a geen tree in its native soil, but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found' (v. 35 - 36). That's the word of God.

Remember, 'the word of God is living and active.  Sharper than a double-edge sword, it penetrates even to the dividing Soul and Spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart' (Heb. Chpt. 4 v.12)

He may think he's got away with all the pain and suffering he caused his own people - the poor and needy in this State, not really!!  He can run but he can not hide! For the Lord is Faithful to all his promises (Psalms Chpt 145 v. 13).

Our God will do, as he promised at his own time hence, this guy can run but he can not hide!!!

People are very unhappy with this man and God hears the cry of the afflicted. angry

Pastor Kun:
@elderlolo
Rccg wouldn't go to any of the countries you just listed cause there is no 'market' there. It is their policy to go to only countries where there is a ready population of Nigerian believers that they can generate revenue from.
[b]You see, I am not here to say what you said is correct or not rather, my take in the argument is, why would a Church of God have Aeroplanes in the first place?  They claimed, they are used for the work of God when Jesus had no shoes let alone a bicycle? undecided undecided undecided

What happened to humility? The Apostle Paul, trekked and sometimes sailed in ships all over Europe and he even hiked all the way to Asia to preach the word of God, and in those trips only God knows how many times the ship he was in, capsized and he nearly lost his life, and at one point, got bitten by snake for the word of God. shocked

Why wouldn't these generation of Pastors, who claim they serve God emulate Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul?  Do what they did, if you're really following Christ.

I once heard one of the Pastor's of this Church in Ireland claiming they need the Aeroplanes to be able to visit their million branches and attend to the needs of their congregations all over the world and I say, really??

But, who say that doing the work of God is easy, and that to be a true Christain is simple.  No wonder, there is so much emphasis on tithing in this Church I heard, and that's enough to put one off, getting to know God!  To win souls is what Jesus said, and not to bleed people through tithing! Yes tithing for the work of God is good, but not a priority - winning souls for Jesus Christ, is.

The work of God requires sacrifices and suffering, ok! Because, Ministry work these days is full of Milikie, that's why there are so many Pastors/Churches every where you go.

If there is much suffering as Jesus days were, no one would dare call themselves a Pastor, unless if you are one of Jesus disciples.  wink wink Our God has a sense of humour you know, he's not like you! grin grin)

No, it is not easy - you have to deprive yourself alot of worldly pleasure and material wealth just like, Jesus Christ and Paul did to serve God in ernest - for you can not serve God and Mammon (the Bible told, us!)!

A Church owns an Aeroplane and I ask, who maintains it? I mean, who is paying for the fuel to keep it in air and the airport taxes?  Who is paying the Pilots and Engineers that maintains it? I don't think that members of this Church really ask questions at all, they just sat there and get brain washed with scripture verses, their leaders practices fail short of, or do not align with.

Some would say, Paul used the technology available to him at their time and we are using the one available to us in our time, really?  Well, I have news for you!

You see, the technology available to Jesus Christ and Paul in their times, were their feet and wooden ships and we still have them even till today in fact, much efficient ones than Paul would ever dream of.

Therefore, you lot should use them and stop bleeding and putting your naive church members under financial stress, in search of money to maintain your lifestyles, in the name of doing God's work - for our God is a God that searches and judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrew Chpt. 4 v. 12).

Instead of blaming irresponsible parents for having more than they can chew - having more children than they can feed/clothe/educate thus risking the lives of their young babies in the streets as they scanvage for their daily bread - go on, blame it on Jonathan!! sad

Imagine, things are already hard for these parents now, that the kids are only under 5yrs old and are yet to started proper school - just wait for it! Kids are born and left to get on with whatever life throws at them as if they begged, to be born?

Time will tell, as some would end up in prostitution and perhaps their brothers, in armed robbery (intimidating and stealing from innocent people, what they worked hard for) in order to survive - now tell me how beautiful, that is!!  These parents have certainly, done a beautiful job of their children for society, eh?

The role of a father is to provide and protect his children.  Now tell me, in your eyes, how are these little girls protected in these wild streets full of criminals and paedophiles, who could be secretly touching, feeling and even  r a p i n g  them at the back-yards of their stores, sheds and houses without anyone knowing or even the kids telling their parents for the fear of being victimised again?

I hope the Church succeed in getting it done, but there's other competitors in the race too.

However, its not the first time a theatre had been converted to a Church in the Uk.  There are some in London e.g. the former Rainbow Theatre at Finsbury Park, was converted by Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG.Org) in the 1990's and others all around Uk.

Any thing is possible in uk as long as you don't upset the law and you have your money - we know about a Cemetry being move in that Colchester i.e. dead people being excavated in order to build homes on the land for the living, how about that? undecided Talk less of a theatre making way for a Church and that's good!

[b]What a shame!!! Poverty, coupled with the ignorance of some parents, is evil!!!

Imagine, under-5years old hawking wares in the street for their parents? What a shame!!!

I bet, the parents knowing their situation and the condition of their children right now, are still producing more babies despite the fact they they can't even feed/clothe all these children that are lined up here, looking at us.

Children are born into the world to embrace poverty, hunger and hardship from the moment they come out of the womb.  Why have them, when you can't provide quality life for your children? People are having kids they can't feed for the wrong reasons.

Because, that your mate you went to school with, is married and have got 78 sons there you go, you want yours too, even though you know you can provide for their welfare!!! Why, because you want your line to continue and I ask - what line, when all of them would die by the age of 5 through hunger and disease thus, defeating the purpose?

You haven't thought, have you?  Have you asked, can I afford children, have I got what it takes to care for,   and educate them?  Can I cope?  Have I got enough money/investments to provide quality life for my kids as I wouldn't want them to suffer as I did? No, they don't ask these questions before they climb a woman and plunge with their heads first, and then make a victim of an innocent child that did not ask to be born.

If fact, these ones we are looking at here, are even lucky.  What about those, whose parent sent off into real slavery, where they are cruelly treated and abused.  Sometimes, they get flogged, tortured, wounded, and starved from morning till late at night and even raped? What other sad experiences, do we expect these innocent children to relate to us here, that they'd never been through. Tell me, they'd been through it all.

Children should be allowed to grow up as children with all their positive childhood memories intact e.g. play with their sibblings, cousins, friends, swim and, attend school - because, that's what children are expected to do in childhood, and not slaving their young life away hawking wares in the street for their parents to get-by.

It's so shameful!!!

Sun of god:
GEJ - Keep delegating your responsibilities.

The bottom line is you should act as referee between the ministers. They should answer to you and you only.

You now have a 'ticking timebomb' on your hands. Its only a matter of time before things explode.

The silly woman has already basically said her immediate area's of focus is everything from tourism to finance to agriculture to security to oil revenue to projects to this that and the other.

So no doubt she has every intention of treading on everyone's toes.

You've basically made her minister of everything and the other ministers are her 'front men/women'.

Each minister should be allowed to do whats best for their ministry without being dictated to by another minister.

This lady is going to be bad for Nigeria - Just like Sanusi she's has no intention of serving Nigeria.

The ministers need to come together and petition GEJ - if he doesn't play ball then the next thing is to impeach him.
[b]Hey buddy, what's wrong with delegating responsibilities, then?  Is it not part and parcel of leadership/management style?

Now, let's clarify this - when Obasanjo was in power as the President, was he also the Defence Minister, Finance Minister, Education etc, eh? Or were those roles delegated to other people? undecided undecided undecided  So, what's wrong with one delegating a duty as long as he/she keeps an eye on the ball, huh?

You see, sometimes your arguments on here are very unreasonable to the point that, one can only percieve nothing but hate floating all over the place in your posts. Such attitude can't get us any where in this country - just give praise where it's due because they say, 'if you can't beat them, join them'!!! smiley smiley

And now, let's discuss this issue about Ngozi? How is Ngozi silly?

Could you please, explain??  Do you love your country at all? Or are you triggering my suspicion that you might be one of those politician's children/relative who are angry because, their milikie has been stopped as their fathers were voted out of office this last election? Are you one of them or was your Minister Uncle a victim of the election, too? Declare yourself  let's see where you're coming from?

What matters, is it threading on everyones toes or ensuring that all our country's revenues are appropriately accounted for, in order to get on with re-building our shattered economy?  Hey, what's your priority?? cool

I wish the President will go further to engage the services of other intelligence and skilled Nigerian ladies as Ngozi - and there's quite a number of them in wait, who could do a better job, I can assure you. shocked shocked  Afterall, women are better managers - Margaret Thatcher managed Britain and the world saw what she did. shocked shocked Therefore, those career politician who think our money is free-for-all will now realise, time's up for them!!

Listen, if you're not quite sure what Ngozi's role is about - it's about ensuring CHECKS AND BALANCES in our economy/country, ok?

The lady is like an accountant, she's employed to account to the country, everything that brings money to Nigerian economy (INCOME) - including INCOME FROM THOSE PETTY BUSINESSES/JOBS like, the street Mechanics, corner shop owners, market stall owners, Mama Akara and Mama put in Nigerian streets all over the counrty, via rates/taxes they should and must pay to their local government before they could even open their doors to the public i.e. before they could even fry any sham sham or repair my car down the road.

This is because, the money they make and not accounting for, through paying their local business rates/taxes, are Income the Government is loosing out and that income is liable to be taxed!! shocked shocked

So, by owing their State Government un-paid taxes, they subsequently owe the economy and that's the revenue Ngozi should account for, if you don't know.

In addition, her watchful eyes are also on how our money is spent by these rogue Ministers (EXPENDITURES) e.g. there's no need to award a contract to repair/maintain Ajegunle road, only for them to give us a receipt for GRADING IT INSTEAD, Abi?. undecided undecided

We need to get our money's worth for job well done that is, get exactly what we paid for - what's wrong with that??  So, stop insulting someone's mother here, ok?

It seems things are getting too complicated for you to hark/understand, abi? Just wait for it!!  Nigerian Ministers have had it too good for a long time.  They'd been used to not accounting for any thing they are responsible for, and now things have changed and they are complaining, why? They better get used to this too, or leave our office. cool cool cool

PoliticsRe: Ministers Unhappy With President’s Directive To Cooperate With Okonjo-Iweala by Theblessed(f): 1:59am On Aug 29, 2011
Nashville:
The president cannot change the constitution by himself, it has to go through the national assembly so it is very difficult. Some sections of the country will never have ministers if it was based strictly on merit ir having technocrats, so we have to live with having political jobbers as ministers in the name of federal character.

To return to the main discussion, these ministers need to know someone is monitoring them and they cannot continue serving their own masters. If they have problems with it, then they should resign. After all Ngozi honorably resigned during the Obasanjo administration!

And if you say GEJ is delegating his responsibilities, I agree with you, but if the man knows he doesn't have all (or most) of the solution, there is no problem seeking a helping hand. After all there is no law that says the president should be the smartest!
[b]From your response, you seemed un-Democrat - you seemed as if you're the Judge, the Jury and the Executioner.

Everyone knows the President alone can not change the Constitution?

Constitutions are made to be changed, to suit the time in which it applies.  Our time is different therefore, the 1960's, 70's , 80's or even 90's of yesterday can not apply.

Yes, it is difficult to change any constitution even the American Constitution which is so entrenched, and the toughest in the World to amend/change as the 50 states had to say 'Yes' for 'a single letter/word' of that Constitition to be removed or amended.  However, the difficulties does not prevent it from getting done, if the American people needs it.  Of course, it calls for series of campaigns and political lobbying, television debates etc to get it done and it is done.

In terms of our own and, because of mass illitracy in our country, our people need to be well informed too, on the  issues, benefits/disadvantages of it via different modes of communication available, to get the message across to them so that, they can judge for themselves and cast their votes accordingly.

Secondly, being educated or technoBRAT is not really a criteria to qualify one as a Minister - it also calls for integrity and Nigeria/other countries in the majority world  lacked that compared to their counterpart in the minority world .  Yet, not all Ministers, MP's with Portfolios in the minority world, are sqeaky clean and their governments still get by.

For me, the only issue with that idea is that, Nigerian politicians lack dignity and respect for themselves. They are not known to resign their position when caught up with controversy, just as their counterparts would do perhaps, I'll blame it on poverty and greed due to the family background some came from.

Therefore, the politicians should consider what is best for the country - to continue as it is, or break from the old.  Our
politicians are aware that, we voted them in and we will vote them out if they fail to deliver what we - the people want/need at least, they saw what happened in the last election - Democracy spoke and I'm sure, some lost their seats in the fairest election ever had in this country! grin grin

Also, if pressure is put on them to deliver the goods, it would trigger competition among them to do something tangible for their respective states and people, before leaving office.  Afterall, none would like to be seen or remembered by the people they represent as 'evil' who did nothing for his people, and History will definitely re-call it.

So, we have to amend our constitution to meet our present day needs as well as elect skilled politicians with integrity and foresight and if we don't have them then, we raise them through serious vetting and our votes.

Gbawe,
I like all the analysis you have given thus far. There is absolutely nothing wrong in having a first amongst equals and I think Ngozi is the right person for the job. One problem we have though is the constitution that stipulates that each state should produce one minister. It means we will have at least 36 ministers that will be nominated by state governors who we all know are mostly theives. That leaves GEJ with very few technocrats to appoint.
So if GEJ cannot change the constitution overnight as he has to accept these political jobbers from the PDP, the least he can do is to warn them that it wouldn't be business as usual. Me I agree he should warn them because most of them do not have our country's interest at heart and the silly constitution should be changed. We dont need 36 minister!

If we are to go to the polls again, come on Nigerian let's go and change this handicap constitution that is not taking us anywhere fast.  It's killing us, why keep it?? angry angry

PoliticsRe: Ministers Unhappy With President’s Directive To Cooperate With Okonjo-Iweala by Theblessed(f): 6:19pm On Aug 28, 2011
[b]Well, if the President had said so, they should support her (and not try to sabotage her efforts, like the previous time). The President, said it well!!!

After all, Nigerian men had never been known for their love and respect of women, let alone one in power.  Besides, in her first attempt to help re-build her beloved country, Ngozi was threatened - her life, her family and position by all these wicked and evil men now complaining, and some others hanging in the wings, wasn't she??

So, why should the President, not draw their attention to issues?  Glad, they got the message!

The President was right, if they wouldn't support her and percieve her as a professional colleague/equal they could work with, to re-build our country instead of seeing it, as ranking with a woman, who should really be under them then, there's no hope for Nigeria.

They might as well do the dignified thing - resign their positions now, since being seen as a 'man' is of greater importance to them than rebuilding our shattered country - how patriotic, really?? angry angry angry

Listen, Nigeria belongs to us all (men and women), God gave all of us intelligence, skills and wisdom.  It's like the gift of the Holy Spirit, he gives it to who he wants and how he wants - you can not dictate for God who he should give his gifts and how many?

Some are given one, two, three or more so if a woman is give more, let her use it for the betterment of mankind instead of being supressed/oppressed by these intimidators who does not love their country and only wants the best for themselves, their families, relatives and hangers-on friends - at the expense of the needy and poor Nigerians. Woe, betide them!

Ngozi ride-on! Go do the job God has called you, and given you the skills to do - do it diligentyly for your people - Nigerians.  Soon, the critics would eat their shame!

May God bless you, ma sister for doing the right thing for your country! grin grin  grin kiss kiss kiss

FamilyRe: What's Your Opinion About This? by Theblessed(f): 1:52am On Aug 20, 2011
[b]A bit left handed for me - won't do it.

Having said that some big Organisations like NHS, BT, etc do permit couples, brothers/sisters, boyfriends/girl friends to work for them though, in different Departments and not in the same office.

Personally, if I was to find myself in this situation, my performance on the job would definitely be constrained, as I would feel, the world are monitoring every of our verbal communication and Body language, I wouldn't recommend it.

Also, one needs to be confident on their job - the contract is, the organisation pays you and provides training, and you attend work and perform the role and not another person doing the job for you.  So, for both checking on how each other is doing, implies lack of skills/confidence on the job as one supports the other in performing a role he/she contracted to do.

Basically, the job is done by their other half and that's not on. But, what would happen if the other half is transfered to another dept?  undecided undecided  Then, the chicken nyash will be seen, abi?  This can only happen in Nigeria and that's why Nigeria is riddled with Nepotism and since this is still in place, we are not going to get anywhere soon, on our back! shocked shocked

Besides, organisations that permits it, are only putting themselves at risk because, couples, relatives and friends can all collude to defraud, cover-up crime or wrong-doing in an organisation without managers knowing about it until one day when the bubble will burst.

So either way, it's not a good idea!

[b]Clever girl, God bless you!

But, I'm asking, who was the previous Finance Minister? Didn't he know about this or that something was going wrong somewhere and Shhooouuut about it? But then, how, could he shout when he'd lined up his own pocket?

Anyway, that's not what I want to talk about now. just want to talk about Ngozi's brilliance!

Who say women education no good?

Na only insecure men dey fear educated women because of their unjust and unfair attitudes towards women - na him make dem fear acada women because, she go discover their s h i t, and throw it back on their face - just as the world is watching this drama.

God bless you Ngozi, in discovering their shit and throwing it back at them. They trickishly wants to smear not only your good reputation but hard work you invested for so many years in getting to where you are right now.  They just want to tarnish you with this unbalanceable Federal Account - na lie for them!!!

Now, some of you who think you're clever, make una dey learn the tricks of the trade. cool cool cool  And, never you forget where you learnt the trick - Ngozi showed una to LOOOOOOOK before una go leap/jump, ok! grin grin grin grin

Clever, isn't she?? She is SMART say it!!  That's why some of you don't like her but we love her and most of all, her hubby and family loves her very much! kiss kiss

Nigeria need lorry loads of Ngozi kind but, where are they?  Where can we find them?? I cry for my blessed Country cry cry cry cry

Imagine, a whole Federal book is unbalanceable, chei!!!!  Even, Greece is better than us, right now - What a hopeless Country that, Nigeria has been rendered to.

If, Ngozi hadn't been call to this role, Nigerians wouldn't have known what is going on - how much the Cankerworms have eaten into our book and how deep the disease has got to.

It was the Holy Spirit that stirred up the President to offer this job to the most suitable candidate - Ngozi otherwise, the cancer that is killing our Country would have continued without us realizing we are finished, had that job been offered to some crook guy than the road, who would have covered up this evil - having lined his own pocket. At least, our God don disgrace satan - we know, now!

Goes to show you all, that  the hand of God is on Nigeria right now, and on this new Democracy and nothing can shut it down until the will of God is completely manifested in Nigeria, and it will be done, in Jesus Name, Amen!!!

[b]What are your values in life?

What happened to one, enjoying quality life in the surburb without all the stresses and headaches of the City e.g. everything is expensive in the City except the air that goes through our nostrils and with the added worry that, that your skyscraper Penthouse might cave-in/off the floor in a strong wind (45 - 70 miles/hr speed) thus, causing you nightmare, insomnia, no rest of mind and perhaps, High Blood Pressure for tasters?

Whereas in the surburb, you could have much bigger space to live in, kids have ample room to play in, big garden to run around for fresh air, and for you and Mrs, a vegetable patch to grow your own and watch your kids grow up to healthy and balanced adults without stressing over being stabbed by a loner in the middle of the City, on a broad day light whilst everyone is watching and does nothing to help! undecided undecided undecided

You see, I know what you're thinking before you could even begin - it's about money innit?  You see, everything is not money -your life, your family and the quality of life seems far more important than the worth of gold and silver on the bricks of that your City Crib in 5 yrs time. grin grin grin

So, it's really up to you, what your values are - as a Nigerian, money comes first, innit?  We love Kudi, abi?

[b]As if they need it and as if they mind being paid in NAIRA!

They don't mind at all - their motives are to build and develop their beloved country, that had been ransacked by the devourers that plunged our country in abyss - that's all they want to do - build back Nigeria with all our help and support.

To develop Nigeria so that she could once again, be proud of herself.

These people love their country from the bottom of their hearts and that's why they are doing it for nothing - that your Naira!!!

Never you forget, they had lucrative jobs and ventures in many parts of the world, that pay and provide more than enough for them.

So, money is not their worry - instead Nigerian should be thankful to God for their intelligence and skills that they are bringing to the job thus, offering it to us, for peanuts!

To them, it's about Love for their country and not about money!  They have acquired enough for themselves and family therefore, your money is not their motives.

So people, trust them if only you could support them instead of sabotaging their efforts in helping Nigerians!!

Yes, in terms of instability caused by series of past coups and some evil men somewhere right now, ambushing and plotting on what they'd do to de-stabilize the Democracy we have now, plus some other political and religious upheavals, chaos, tribalism, corruption, 419 activities and many many more evils that have rendered our country hopeless -  Nigeria, an abundantly blessed Nation is 'an Impotent Soil' for investment, gorit?? Therefore, stagnacy will continue to loom upon us, for an unforeseable future.

RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Actresses Prefer To Marry Married Men? by Theblessed(f): 11:57pm On Aug 09, 2011
[b] If this is true then, my view is this :-

What on earth would make a decent and confident person in her right mind and in these modern times settle, as second best?

Well, my answer is, ?the man's status/money, ?their low self-esteem, ?a bully and her intimidating attitude towards the poor first wife probably, with little or no education/career/wealth of her own thus, she's considered ' a no match to their Nollywood fame/status' therefore, what 's the heck!

If not so, what else? Na, natural loooooove? Hell, no!!

But, haven't these agents of destruction heard of Mrs Ngoze Okonjo-Iweala and try her marriage instead of toying with the marriages of these vulnerable first wives, they'd hooked up with their husbands?

Since these cheap trashes enjoy stealing someone else's husband because they think they can, and as they have diamond encrusted fannies which no man can resist, and they feel they can take any man they fancy, and if that is the case, why not try Ngozi's husband or the husbands of women, of her calibre?

Then they would realise that shoes have sizes, abi?

You see, in the animal Kingdom, Lions only attack weak and feeble animals but have you ever heard or seen a Lion attacked a full grown Elephant??

No, because, they know their boundaries - Elephant is mighty and stong and it's skin is tougher than their teeth could bear and for the reason of hunting for another day, they wouldn't want to see their teeth on the ground instead of, in their mouth.  grin grin grin

Bullies never bully their kind, period!

But, God has news for these evil women, 'no weapon formed against these innocent families shall prosper (Isaiah 54 v. 17).

People, I urge you to watch this space - soon, some of these home wreckers, will be leaving it to seek greener pastures elsewhere yet, happiness will continue to elude them because, they can never have what they deprived others - peace, tranquility and harmony will never smile on them! angry

As if you don't like the 'big assed and extended belly' types! Abi, nobe una created the culture, wey you dey complain about?

With her big a s s, protuding belly and fat thighs, fitted in her full cultural atire - that expensive George with matching lacy blouse and big headtie, Hollandaise, Lace Buba and matching shoes/handbags - can't you see that made her look like a real madam out there, showing off her husband money as Nigerian women likes to show, they married well. grin grin

On the other hand, you yourself her husband go dey brag say, you dey take proper care of your woman, abi? grin grin grin That, na Nigerian way nobe so o o? Abeg, na Nigerian mentality be that!!!

You see, ignorance they say is a disease and our people both the educated and illitrates are all very well afflicted by this disease.

Imagine your actors and actress who should know better and at least, considering their profession have been reported to have ingnored both the risks to their careers and health and thus, continued to pile on the pounds.

Now, tell me, how ignorant could they get and you are here, blaming a common housewife whose only ambition, is to getting married, produce a couple of nippers and retire as madam of the house - how dare you?

Tell me, what else is there to motivate such a young woman (oldies are excluded here) in considering a flat tummy, toned back-yard and thighs when all the stars, other married women including some singletons in her community all, look like her - Fat a s s e d.

Therefore, to change the idea that imposes,'fattening up the cow' demonstrates wealth and good health and thus, improve the out look of your women, you guys need to evaluate your cultural values.

The problem is socio-cultural and not the women, gorit?

[b]Well young lady, it's come full circle for you.

In fact, you're as evil as your husband. Imagine you, lying and hiding your own child because of your ambition to get married.  Goes to show, you're one of those who sell their conscience to succeed in life.

If you should hide any thing in life - not your own blood and flesh! You fail to acknowledge this child in the presence of prospective suitors including the one that married you  and his family and who knows how many others, you lied to about this child?

Your sin has caught up with you.

Even your own parents joined in, in the deceit and lies - it run in your blood line, isn't it? Imagine your parents who should know better, connived with you to hide this child and keep her a secret to the world - shame on to you all!

A snake will always bear what looks like it. Evil family will always attract people like them, and this one is exactly your kind - shut up and put up with it! tongue tongue

Personally, I sympathy with the innocent poor child that did not ask to be born and no, found herself in this situation - a victim.  As for you and your family, you disgust me! You have no consideration of this child whatsoever, but only yourself. I have no faith in a woman that denies her children because of a man afterall, what is a man marrying you for? angry angry angry

Is it not to reprocreate? And what is this child about?  Is she not the product of  procreation - a child of God! And you denied her, thinking you've succeeded with your ambition of being Mrs Somebody but God has news for you - na lie for you!  You see, three years going into this your sorry happy marriage, you are still seekng the fruit of the womb, abi?  You think you can cheat God, no be so??

Irrespective of the circumstances in which you had that child, you have no rights to deny the existence of the one God first gave you, to any man - the first fruit of the womb are highly blessed and now, you're asking God for another - naaaaaah!  Until you confess your sins and acknowledge this child publicly then, maybe, God will listen!

That's what the spirit in me say I should tell you.

Now, take it and shut up!

Christianity EtcRe: Tithes - Does God Want The Tithes Of Money? by Theblessed(f): 12:38am On Aug 02, 2011
[b]People, I am tired of the 'bendng of the truth' in some of our Churches when it comes to the issue of tithing.

The truth is, tithing is an ancient Biblical principle, every Christian should abide by but do we all? No, we don't including myself.

I am not a tither rather, an offeror and that's by choice.  I receive the same blessing as those tithing and there's nothing I ask the Lord Jesus Christ that, he does not give me.  It maybe a bit delayed certainly, I will receive it however, if there be difficulty then, I put in the FAST.

Yes, I honour God's work through my offerings to Ministries that I support, including my own.  I am really put off tithing, the reason being, some Pastors in certain Ministries I supported in past over bore the congregation with their demands of tithing and would quickly point to the Authority in the Scriptures to substantiate their claims and that made one feel guilty if they fail to tithe - is that what Christianity, is all about?

No one is arguing that tithing isn't an ancient Biblical principle? No one!  However my take is, if we must follow/apply this priniciple we must do it exactly as the Bible dictated - nothing added and nothing removed, for the word of God is unchangeable, period.

In Genesis Chpt. 14 v. 16 - 20 we learnt that, Abraham the first tither - from whom we learn this principle only tithe his booty/spoils that he brought back from the war he had with Chedorlaomer King of Elam.

But, what are the spoils/plunders?

We are meant to believe they are usually, cattles, sheep, goats, chickens, gold, silver, captives etc and not necessarily physical cash.  Following this principle, the Isrealites over the Centuries, tithe from their farm produce/surpluses and they were acceptable by the priests.

So, my issues with our pastors are, if we must tithe because, it is a Biblical principle, why shouldn't we tithe in the forms of cattles, sheep, goat, chickens, vegetables etc instead, as they all are insisting on cash tithing and I ask, why?  Why mainly CASH?

In my view, this is what has destroyed the Church today - greed.  And does it surprise anyone when the Bible has told us that 'Money is the root of all evil'.

This is one of the reasons I do not tithe instead, I give offerings to those Ministries/orphanges I believe are truely practising Gods principles in fact, by the end of the month, I give more than those who actually, tithe.

Secondly, ?tithing our monthly incomes or its supplus?

Some pastors are not being honest to their members about this, if they insist on following the Abrahamaic principle then, we should tithe our monthly surpluses and not our income - because the Bible told us that, Abraham tithe all the booty he brought back from war and not the income from his actual wealth that he left with Sarah as he went away, to war, abi?

Also, we have to take into account that, the wealth he left at home whilst away at war continued to produce income that sustained Sarah and his entire household until he returned from war, abi?

If we are to tithe out monthly income, why did Abraham tithe his war plunder, and not his Home earnings? Was it not part of his  income for that month - why was it not tithe?

Based on this, why are pastors harassing people about tithing and not telling them the truth about what exactly they should tithe the 10% of - ?their INCOME OR it's SURPLUS - I need an answer?

And, for those who are not aware of what they should actually tithe, know it now
- we are expected to tithe 10% of our increase i.e. the surplus we earn each month thus, tithe is:

'Beyond what you had just before you receive it', and that is the 10% to tithe.

Now, you know it, go give your pastor all your income for the month and go home, lie down, yawn and die! tongue tongue

Music/RadioRe: Amy Winehouse Is Dead by Theblessed(f): 7:21pm On Jul 25, 2011
[b]Well, does it surprise anyone? shocked shocked

In fact, we are disappointed it took this long, really!

Not long ago, we said good bye to the famous Irish Footballer - George Best whose own addiction was out of this world and now, Amy!

But, have some of you with this demon, learnt your lessons?  No!

The fact is, Amy is in hell right now, with the likes of Best.  And those of you afflicted with such demon and whatever kind you might be swimming in right now, will soon be joining them, celebrating pain, anguish, gnashing of teeth and eternal hell fire with your chief master 'satan' in the middle of it all because hell is real , get it!.  Unless you repent now you still have chance, and seek spiritual help.

For those of you, who are into alternative therapy, wisen up - for no amount of counselling or checking in and out of rehab would restore you except, you are spiritually delivered by a seriously anointed Man of God.

This is because, addiction is demonic and not any 'ol Man of God can spiritually, hit the demons where it hurts and destroy them except those, who are specially anointed with the Holy Ghost gift of Healing and Deliverance.  Not any 'ol Man of God can deliver and set you free from the bondage!

In addition, to be able to maintain and sustain your healing and deliverance, you too have a responsibility to completely forsake sin and excessive material nature of this world and give your life to God else, satan will find his way back again, into an empty house - YOU!

Then, you'll be on your way to celebrate in hell with him because, hell is specially designated for satan and his angels as a result, he promised he would not go there alone, without God's children therefore, he is looking for God's children to share the experience with.

So, make yourself available to him if you wish!

Look, Heaven will never touch a demon possesed, so called child of God with a badge pole because, Heaven is pure and only purity exist in Heaven therefore, repent now and get deliverance.

Amy's case is a tragedy, any young person should learn from including those childish adults.

The Bible tells us 'Its finished'. Yes, it is finished, as Christ paid the price on Calvery for us but it's for those who repent and accept Jesus Chrish as their Lord and Saviour. Tragically, Amy might not be there and certainly, not with drugs and alcohol coming out of her ears - whose funeral's next, yours? angry

In this regard, some Igbo proverbs warns us that, 'Mkpuru osisi na ato nwa nnunu uto na akafu ya! Odukwara anyi odu si, 'Iji nkpochinti na eso ozu la nime ili'. angry  Amy's addiction to drugs and alcohol, confirmed this. Unfortunately, I have relatives in this age group and that's why it's so painful to ponder.  Those with ears, make una hear!

Onye nwua, ya achisa owa!
