Geenosko: Well you are entitled to your opinions
I strongly encourage anyone who can get another passport, please do. If you travel abroad often you will understand the limitations of carrying a Nigerian passport.
Most of the children of your politicians all have a second passport you think they are idiots?
It's inferiority complex that would make another person castigate someone for getting a second passport.
It's well with you all.
I repeat, if you can get another passport please do.
To hell with what anyone thinks about your decision.
Some of best gifts you can give your unborn kids are salvation, education and a foreign passport. Why do some people keep getting my stance twisted? Of course if I'm offered one today I will gladly get it. IT IS THE FLAUNTING on social media i have issues with...why is this hard to comprehend? |

Confirmedzombie: Trump has been impeached. As it moves to the senate, I am aware majority of the Republicans do not like Trump and will vote for his removal.
Those of you saying Republicans are majority in the senate should know that America is not Nigeria.
Trump's policies and recklessness are the major reasons he will be impeached. Again Trump has been holding on to some documents that has made many witnesses unable to testify.
If Trump is innocent, why is he hiding and withholding some indicating documents.
I stand with the Democrats. Impeach Trump now. We are tired of his anti people policies. If the gods of the land are against him then some repulblicans will vote against him and that marks his end as POTUS but partisanship won't allow this to happen. |

Such boldness in making an ignorant statement. 4 presidents in the history of United States have been up for impeachment but never scaled through 2/3 of the Senate. Trump's case won't be different...all this noise making ends at the floor of the Senate. |

As a man, is it advisable to marry the lady who loves you more than you love her?
please advice Which one is more than you love her? You either love or don't love her. If you have a little love for her please go ahead but she should be sexually appealling to you physically. |
Family › Re: Finally, I Have Decided To Leave Him by Toks2008(m): 5:05pm On Dec 15, 2019 |
Kindheartedd: I opened a thread sometime ago about my husband's attitude.
I won't just go into details but all I need now is leave, leave him for good.
My plan is to totally leave the state we live now to a different state to start life all over with my kids. I work, I will make sure they have the best. I won't let my family know my whereabouts. Change my phone number and live a new life.
I do not want any one to link me up with him again. I hate him now. I have heard enough, enough of abuse. He's done more damage to me than good. His is proud and ungrateful.
He is owing me a lot of money but I can let go.
I want to teach him a hard lesson by leaving with my kids before he return from work on Monday.
My advice to young ones especially God fearing ones, don't marry a man who is just a casual Christian, who answers on paper 'Christianity' when asked which religion.
He never believed I can move forward, I struggled to raise my status by hard work n prayer, I went to a private uni, he even insulted my dad to my face that he waisted money on my for sending me to private uni, Haa, my ears twingled when he said it all because I was earning about 100k, he was earning way more than me and he'd never give me peace because he earns more. Named me all sorts of names. I saved little n resigned since there was no hope of earning more money where I worked.
When I asked to open a joint account his response was my income was meant for eating not saving. And ridiculously told me to hide my face for trying to measure him to my standard. That we don't earn the same amount and we can't jointly run an account. For days, he shamed me with that.
I boldly took a decision to resign and I almost end it all but I was putting things in place to get the best in life no matter what. Alas, God helped me and now, I'm doing well and my monthly income is daily getting more than his. I painfully went for a training and have decided to get an office and employ more hands because I can no longer handle tasks alone due to work load and he is killing the dream.
I know him, he wants to frustrate me, he knows the sky is not my limit again even, but I want to teach him a lesson that in his next life he will never talk any human being down.
He is getting worst daily by being abusive, I won't know peace if so stay with him. Now he wants to do what I do, so jealous and unsecured.
I live in a recluse due to my work and I have an abusive man, if not for my belief on God maybe I would have taken my life since.
I was abused as a child, I think the best for me now is live alone. Human beings are not worth it, I hate relationships and marriage now, like it's all a scam. I just want to be alone with my innocent kids.
Am just weak, it's going to be a shame, my friendd n family won't like my decision but I want to send a message to this man. He must learn to respect me, called my brain fish brain,? My own father waisted money on me? I will surely break grounds to send him a message.
Am just in pain, am soo so so sad. Once I leave him I will be a celibate for life. I will never allow any man to make me experience abuse again. Never!!! Lalasticlala can you see why I create certain threads? https://www.nairaland.com/5492915/present-day-woman-misplaced-priority-marriageI just don't write for writing sake. OP please visit that thread. Romance › Re: What Are The Spiritual Effects Of Sleeping With A Married Man Knowingly ? by Toks2008(m): 3:53pm On Dec 15, 2019 |
Beverlyjean: A friend of mine is in desperate need of advice... She had unprotected sex with a married man... Her fear now is that she feels it might affect her in the future because she knew he was married before she did it...
She regrets her actions... She said she never planned it, although the man had always been disturbing her, but she felt she could control the situation when she visited him, but one thing led to another after a couple of drinks and they ended up having unprotected sex.
The man in question is old enough to be her father according to her but she still doesn't know why she did what she did because at that time she was having relationship issues. She has ended all ties with the man but her fear is that if what she did will affect her in the future because she doesn't want her future husband to ever cheat on her.
She is so broken now and confused... Again she doesn't know how her next boyfriend will think she's that type of person that sleeps with married men if he finds out what she did, because her boyfriend ended the relationship when she told him, although it happened before they met. She doesn't want her next boyfriend to treat her with disrespect if he finds out or make her loose her value. That is Adultery so she should pray to GOD for forgiveness but if she decides to marry the man, she becomes his legitimate concubine and that is perfectly ok. |
Family › Re: Marriage is a scam to men, it is not worth it by Toks2008(m): 2:25pm On Dec 15, 2019 |
Prognose: Personally I agree with the op. It's difficult nowadays to see what the advantage is in marriage for men. Except maybe to have your own kids to pass on your genes or to boast to society that you're a responsible person. Men no longer live like Kings in thier own house. They provide food, shelter, clothing, gifts, sex, etc, and in return what do they get? Entitlement mentality, is sex food mentality, cook your own meals mentality. A woman wants to be a queen but won't want to treat her husband as a king.
Societal changes has scammed a lot of men. I would advise any male getting married to look very well before doing so. Don't marry for love. Marry with sense. If you like marry with double sense...this thing called marriage is overrated. I know what I am writing. Most ladies are confused and totally damaged psychologically that they will always have a reason to misbehave in marriage. |
Family › Re: Marriage is a scam to men, it is not worth it by Toks2008(m): 2:19pm On Dec 15, 2019 |
DenreleDave: I think doing wedding is a bad idea. How can you spend your life savings on a woman when then end result is children and responsibilities. As in, I have seen many ladies that have been bleeped and bleeped several times, several body counts. So one man will come and spend his life saving on such woman.
How can a man spend all the money he has saved on a lady who is a virgin or not a virgin sef when he will still have to cater for responsibilities after wedding?
As in, my guys for there carry lady come sleep anyhow and later later, another man go carry this lady, wan kill himself untop her, they run helter skelter on top her. What do we guys tend to benefit in marriage, is it not just sex and probably kids (kids is both advantage for men n women) but again you get to carry responsibilities upandan.
I'm beginning wedding or even marriage is a scam sef, it's way of bringing a man into slavery.
Maybe baby mama is the way out, I'm beginning to reason with some guys Here on nairaland oooo.. Baby mama things
Guys wake up, I think this marriage and wedding only favors women, we men are at big disadvantage aswear

trutht828: And have you taken time to ask yourself why the same government that did what you said is right didn't see it as right to arrest the herdsmen that kill farmers? That is another twist which no one is justifying. The point is that you can kill someone else's animal arbitrarily and get fined for it and you go to jail if you can't pay the penalty |

TheExecutioner: Oh dear, I see you never let an opportunity to share a zero IQ opinion go wasted! You'll never change will you?
Of course jailing a man for killing a cow while at the same time, not being able to prosecute a single herdsman is a wonderful development!
Anyone whose brain is the size of a grain of sand like most BMCs (and I'm sure you have first hand experience of this) will understand and celebrate such a wonderful achievement! When you juxtapose the preferential treatment melted to Herdsmen I can understand from that angle but saying you can't go to jail for killing even a cat that belongs to another person is lame. |

trutht828: If being jailed for killing a cow sounds normal to you, then we really need to inspect your brain.
Or.maybe we should remove your brain and give it to pigs to feed on since brain use isn't your strong point. Yes it is very normal if you kill a cow or any endangered animal without any justifiable reasons. |

tunjilee003: During our undergraduate days, we faced a lot of challenges ranging from school fee, accommodation fee, feeding allowance and money to buy handouts.
This in turn do frustrate our parents making most of them not to pick our calls, some students engage themselves in side hustles while the ones from very rich home have no issues during their stay. Schooling in Nigeria is a rigorous exercise....
During my undergraduate days in one of the state polytechnic, there was a day i called my dad actually, i don't want to ask him money for handouts. So I initiated a plan, I told him a friend of mine just lost his father, he wants to travel to Lagos and he needs money. My father show some condolence for the faked death and he sent 3k to me, when i got to my friends house he was happy i got the money from my dad, and he called my friend who confirmed the death...... Four months later, it was the incidence of the departmental ID cards, I scammed my dad for the second time, ever since then my conscience have been pricking me but I'm still good with it. You are free to share yours You are lucky to have parents who even have to give. I had to struggle my way through school myself from selling Ice block at Alaba market to acting as a house agent for students to being a Snooker game Board man to selling none tested tv and so on. So I no even see money collect for genuine reasons howbeit made up stories Lol! |

MadamT: You are right! My sons are same age group as Anthony Joshua. They’ve never stepped foot in Nigeria but understand and speak a bit of our language. A lot us parents who migrated from Naija in the 70s and 80s imbibed a lot of our culture in our children. For example, even though my grown sons haven’t been to Nigeria, they know which “swallow” goes with what! They combine amala with ewedu and pounded yam with Egusi. My first son cooks some Naija food expertly. His English fiancée enjoys jollof rice and will tuck in with him to enjoy amala. All of these and more bodes well for my grandchildren as they won’t lose their heritage.
So, I always laugh when I read some posts here making ignorant assertions about “abroad” children. They may be British, American etc. by birth and nationality, but people shouldn’t dispute some of their Naija upbringing cos it is Nigerian people from Nigeria that birthed and brought them up! Grandma I dey greet o. |
