You are very right on this, his response to my post confirm this which was why I didn't push further. I have read narratives as such, I have experienced it too. I know people just don't leave.
There is always that factor the ghosted person considers too little for a break up while it is a big deal for the other party.
Exactly & not just that alone, they must have been ringing it in their ears numerous times people just get fed up & ghost. Ghosting is bad but sometimes it is lack of strength to actually argue that leads to ghosting.

Sorry about your experience. Was there something at some point she complained of but you never paid attention to. Do you make her uncomfortable or guilty when she raises an issue? Aside sex and money how else did you express love.

If you look into all this and you are sure you did everything right, I guess she was bored or you were too good for her.
let's be fair, the dude in question has an idea of what might have gone wrong & he knows. People don't just ghost for nothing, both the ghoster & the ghostee knows why it happens 9 times out of 10. Therefore anybody that says I have been with person A for number of years & they just left is not telling the whole truth.

No. There's a fine line between constant communication and clinginess.
I want a man who can chip in a bit of a conversation as he prepares to go to work, during his break time in the office, on his way home from work and after he's eaten, resting and retiring to bed, when he's out with friends, etc stuff like that. A little "hey" "what are you up to?" "your day going on well?" "OK something unusual happened at work" just basic conversation.

Very different from someone who wants to be on the phone with you all the time, gets suspicious of everything and everyone, for example, you didn't pick up the phone when they called, where you'll be afraid to even say "I'm sorry I have to go". That's obsessive and clingy.
People who do this know they are border-line psychopathic & if you're not careful, you will be like them.

Let me shock you. It's just not only in software development but in different areas of IT.

There's this 9ja guy I paid for his mentorship program on CPA affiliate marketing. This guy makes more than $17,000 per week on a platform called Vocal media. And he is living here in Lagos 😬

Since the day he showed me his Stripe payments to his USA business bank account, to sleep de hard me. I have just been thinking about my life.☹️

But truth be told, Blockckchain guys are paid so high. My childhood friend switched from a $55K/yr Android app developer to a $270K/yr Blockckchain developer and he is still living in Portharcourt. 😏
I would be interested in how people move from one niche path to another because once you move from a $55k/yr dev, it means you are already a Senior and that means moving to Blockckchain developer will be starting over again from a Junior position, except you have been doing both for some years.

They won't try that with employees from Europe. I don't encourage anyone to work for Crossover, It's like marrying a rich person who permanently took away your total freedom, not worth it.

We agbayas/arugbo have seen this all before. The dot com boom of the 90s. Then to people were making websites for everything, venture capitalists were throwing money in the hope that the startup was the next Microsoft. It all crashed in the 2000s.

Warren buffet had refused to jump on the train because it violated one of his investing principles - you do not invest in a business where you do not understand how they make money. He was looking like an out of touch oldster until it all folded.

This is really zuck and the fallout of his meta nonsense. He wasted billions, went on a sacking spree to maintain paper profitability for the investors and now as is always the case, the rest of the industry is forced to follow suit. And now here we are.

Also a lot of ceo tech bros are really just burning through investors money without being prudent while hoping the incubation period pays off. Fiscal responsibility is ultimately far more critical that talent for a business
Oh well In my opinion, this is the foundation of tech itself, many startups like WhatsApp & co never knew how they would make money & still doesn't make money but continued never the less. It's mostly success by trial & error motivated with a lot of hard work behind it. Metaverse is just like every other startup with great ideas that either didn't work or people didn't buy the idea. Before Tiktok, we had Vine in 2013 which is carbon copy of the former but the world wasn't ready for it. Remember years back that it was a Taboo for strangers to live in your house, now we have AirBnb that allows not only strangers live, but also share your parlour & food with you like families. Tech is trial & error, if it works, you're genius, if not, try another idea till you cash out.

That's why It is always advisable always to confirm your Net before you resign from your former company.

I will, thanks.

I have a question. Should I focus on frontend or also add a Backend Language like Nodejs. Ive been working with express for few weeks and I'm enjoying it.

The junior developer market is very saturated right now and there are lots of frontend developers looking to get a job. I want to stand out. Also, asides Nodejs what other backend language do you recommend?
The good thing about Frontend is that It allows you to have portfolio to share, while backend requires some experience on your CV. When it comes to backend, i will highly recommend learning GO. If you ask any serious backend developer, that is the answer you'd get. So many companies are moving on from PHP, Java, NodeJs to GO. At least from all the evidences I have in the past 4 years.

You can also choose to apply for volunteering roles just to build up experience.

He's actually right.

Women lack the opportunity of GETTING WHO THEY REALLY LOVE/WANT TO have sex with.

For example, so many ladies might want to have sex with men like 2face or Davido, but can they?
They can, 2Face have had sex with so many ladies in his music shows more than he can even remember. The problem is that 2Face will not claim any of them as his girlfriend, they are simply babes he is just sleeping with. Nothing more.

Your last line is wrong. What's commitment about emotions or money? Commitment include marriage and kids or at least that's what I'd term it to
We are talking about the number of women compared to men, the ratio is 10 to 100. Commitment doesn't have to be marriage, commitment is a guy who wants to have a long lasting relationship with them. It means if they are sex starved, they can allow the guy who has been troubling them on their DM a chance for some time who is average. So the power of sex is in their hands to lock or unlock it, meanwhile if they want a long lasting relationship, they can't control that.

Comprehension is your problem. I'm done.
Everybody on this thread is telling you that you're wrong but suddenly you think you're the most intelligent one. Even women are telling you they don't have any problem getting sex and you who is a man (with a manhood) says No. Do you think you know more about women than women themselves?

You're wrong bro, 100% wrong.

Women have problems getting commitment, not sex.

Even a dead woman's corpse can get sex.

I should be asking of your age. If you are my age then you must have seen many things amd experienced many things. Stop repeating what your friends say or what you read online.

Many women are sex starved. If we're literally talking of sex, then it's available to everyone, but will a working class lady just open her legs to a random man at the bar or to her gateman? Many women can't get a man of their choice to shag them. It's not so easy for a woman to ask for sex, especially when she knows she'll be dumped after the sex. Most women can't give sex without some emotional or financial expectations. It doesn't work that way.

It's far easier for the M.D to shag the cleaner than vice versa. If we're just talking of sticking something into something then it's easy and available to everyone even the bike riders.
That is why I asked where you live. You could be living in a small village in Borno state, hence your experience could be different, you're the first person I know that says sex is hard for women to get. An M.D can get another M.D to still sleep with her, not a big deal at all.

Most women can't give sex without some emotional or financial expectations --- What you are referring to is "Commitment" & not sex.
RomanceRe: Premarital Sex, The Cheapest Opportunity: A Case Study Of My Neighbor by tosinhtml: 11:35am On Mar 21, 2023

Actually there is lack of opportunity for many women. We have a lot of sexually starved females. Not every woman is cheap enough to open her legs for just anyone. Some women have preference and would only open for a man of similar or higher status. Unfortunately, some of those men ain't looking her way.

Same way many men are also sex starved. They could easily tempt the orange seller to sleep with them for money or even for free but some men also have taste and would prefer a girl of similar status and such girls ain't even looking their way.

Men even have it easier as they could easily get paid sex from these hook up apps. These hook up apps now even have some very cream chics. Again, with men, it's just sex, no emotions attached, so it's easier for a man to just lay the pepper seller and move on without feeling disgusted with himself. Not so for women.

They theory of women being able to get sex with the snap of their fingers is a fallacy. Many females have resorted to masturbation especially with their dildos as they can't attract their type of men for sex.
Please where do you live? Maybe your experience is based on where you live.

Also how old are you?

Because you're the first person that is saying Women lack opportunities. Maybe you were referring to men, not women. You must have mixed up something in your post.

Smaller companies are laying off more than faang o. A lot of startups have laid off a ton of their devs but you won't hear it in the news cause it's not faang.

I think devs in the west despite the layoffs have no issues. It's those on H1B in like the USA that will be frightening now as they have 60 days to find a new job which is impossible with all the present layoffs at the moment
Oh really, do you have a list of those other companies?

I have been seeing several people saying they moved back to India, some didn't even wait till those 60 days elapse, they already gave up. It would be much harder for married folks to move back though.

Amazon plans to lay off 9,000 more employees, mostly in AWS and as we know this is powered by cloud engineers, IT technical support staff, tech managers and marketing staff. I have never been a big fan of FAANG but I reckon people should work there for like 1 year to boost your CV so recruiters would always be looking to hire once you add Ex-FAANG software engineer on your LinkedIn title.

Now, I wonder if all those 8 stages of rigorous interviews would make sense anymore seeing that there is no job security apart from Apple, and your job can be lost just like any other medium-size tech companies. I know some people on NL have made these companies their dream place to work but right now realistically, is it really worth it? Would It also be worth it 2 years down the line? If job security is gone, would the only perk just be for the prestige?!

I would say It is better to aim for smaller companies with great opportunities, where you and your small team can actually move something. A job where you are responsible end to end and learn and use many skills. Although I have noticed bias in some smaller companies where they also only prefer to hire ex-FAANG engineers first before anybody else, they propose a very high and compelling salary on the same job level and the disparity in salary with your co-worker is so much that It annoys you when you it gets leaked. The tech recruitment industry is very weird.

Husbands knowledge or not, 5 days absence from home will not make or kill anyone. The children will still be alive by the time she gets back & the husband has 2 months to prepare. You want her to have carry-over to another year because of 5 days.

Omo ona wicked for this forum.

Firstly, it is obvious each of this couple has a different core value.

The core value of the husband is the family. He probably grew up on a stable and closely-knit home. So he prioritise the family/children over career.

But the wife's core value is career. I would be surprised if she didn't grow up in a home where the woman was marginalized or even maltreated because of low career. Career gives her a sense of personal worth and value therefore, she could not forgo this opportunity.

In any case, for a training which is only one week, this should pose no problems for them. I had to reread the post to be sure it is not a two-month course.

Both of them need to make the sacrifice. Get a sit-in person and pay her to look after the children. Even if they end up paying with the 800 Euro which the wife will get from the course.

The man mentioned that the wife adopts some unhealthy methods to have her way whenever they have a friction. This needs to be dealt with. I suspect the wife may have some underlying trauma which need to be resolved. A professional counsellor should be able to help with that.

Please solve your marital problem and live together in peace.

Cheers
Na lie oga, one week will not kill or elevate anybody's career. She just needs to do that programme for 5 days so that she can graduate that same year.

The way you people gaslight on this forum is just mad, this has nothing to do with prioritising the family/children over career. 5 days absence no go kill anybody.

The woman is an idiot. No sensible woman with kids abroad will make such arrangements without discussing with the husband first. All the talks about watching the kids, etc would have been ironed out first considering that the course is in another country. She is very irresponsible. Who is she trying to impress with €800 (which won't last a week in expenses anyways)?

Oga, you sabi read english abi you no sabi read english?

Hello all,
I need to bring this to this section for better balanced contribution, I have also updated some earlier information due to better information

The husband of a lady is against his wife attending a 4-7 days school course from Germany to the Netherlands. Participants can leave on the 5th day if they want, participants will also get 800 euros as participating fee. The course starts in 2 months' time, madam already signed up without her husband’s knowledge, and just recently told her husband about the signing up (They have been discussing the issue of whether to go or not and the best options). Her husband is against this and told the woman to shift the course to next year because her husband can not travel to be with the children due to circumstances that can not be resolved now. The kids are between (7-12 years). Although the husband will be able to travel later in the year, however, madam will have none of it at all, because according to her, it means her graduation will also be shifted to the next academic session/next year, this, she will never ever accept. So no negotiation about it.

What is your take on this, please?
How is it so difficult that the husband cannot understand this simple maths? So he wants her to push her graduation till next year. 1 week of staying away will not kill them, they can hire a live in maid in Netherlands for a week and that won't cost more than 2000 Euros. I don't understand how this type of simple issues become a problem in 2023.

I think the info on this story is incomplete, because it's not making sense.

Sister, your thoughts are very valid, I will tell you a little story about a girl I knew from 10 years ago from IT school.

For the purpose of this comment, let's call her "Kate", maybe she might even read this online one day. So Kate was in my class & she was among the 2 most brilliant persons. Usually in engineering schools, women are excellent with the theoretical aspect and can write a full book of technical info & do well in exams, but not that great with practicals but "Kate" was different. Kate was exceptional in both theory & practical, she was also very pretty too but she never let it get to her head. She was focus & I remember we did a project on Oracle & MS SQL, the code she wrote was like someone who had already been working in the industry, she even did the presentation & omo it was mad. From that point we knew this girl would be a genius.

Guess what? some months into the programme she came to tell us that her Dad can no longer pay for her tuition due to family separation & she had to drop out, that's how this brilliant girl dropped out & went to Ogun State University. The whole zeal just died, after battling with University strikes and missing exam school scripts, she graduated and ended up being an event planner in Ogun State. I used to see her on Facebook & she doesn't look like someone that is doing so well.

This is someone who should be in Google or Amazon by now with such level of talent at that young age, that is how her life was re-directed because of lack of funds.
