Awon ode. Burn the banks today and then come back in one year time to complain about how you have to go longer distances to use banks cos there aren't any in your locality, cos you baboons have burnt them all. Dem dey try give hopeless idiots an opportunity of a free and fair election, such that hasn't been seen since return to democracy in 1999 these ones dey burn banks. Odenson! |
hustla:not so much. Two constraints will come up: long delivery/arrival times of the vehicle(s) as those aren't really busy routes for auto shipping to Nigeria..and then cost, the landing costs altogether will be higher for a car coming from Germany than the US or Canada. Both put you at a disadvantage in the market. |
pheranmie:some have stylishly told you to abort mission. I am directly telling you to abort mission. If you still wanna continue, the warnings here will be a point of reference at least.. lol😎 You wanna bring a car from the UK to use, is very very very different from you want to bring a car from the UK to sell as far as the 9ja auto sales market is concerned (been selling cars for 4+ years)...I no go talk pass this one. |
Heathrow44:I was just about to answer his repeated questions before you did. Not that he'll see reason anyway. Also to add, one of the causes of the scarcity of the old notes aside the politicians is simply cos majority of us are holding and not spending, as an adaptation mechanism of current happenings. I had 10k new notes since Jan 31, it just became 4k yesterday. 99.9% of all I have been paying for has been by TRF. This is the case for very very many people, we are holding the new notes and not spending, so it isn't exchanging hands as should, simple! |
Okealaaye:lol.. disobedience is disobedience! Heck even the EFCC chairman has given the judiciary the middle finger, after the phantom court conviction delivered on him. |
spartachico:the bolded just seems very lazy to me. Using myself as an example, I have spent all old notes since Jan 31. I had 7000 new notes handy, as at this morning it is 4000. Virtually everything I buy I pay with transfer. So that man does not have internet banking, his wife doesn't have, his child doesn't have and they all collectively don't want to have or what. My conclusion is the man is either lazy, stubborn, loves stress or all of the above. The only things I have spent cash on are petty things that my people for house ask money for maybe to buy small tins in the area AFTER i have returned home. As of this week even those petty things in the street have been bought with TRF. Abegi. The only one that I agree will be a challenge is for those who don't have a car to move around with, paying tfare thru TRF can be tricky not all this talk about money in the account but no money to feed. That is wack. |
More and more confusion to their camp, O Lord. |
Brendaniel:cmon, you should know that man is simply a courier. If hell rufai wants to change his stashed money, do you reckon he will go himself with all the money or funnel it through various couriers/mules? |
Lol.. no where in that speech did Makinde state even remotely that he is voting for Tinubu. He said and I quote 'he/we are voting for equity and fairness'. That means many things to many people particularly in the much contested SW. To me his statement means Obi and you all will see first hand in a few days that Emilokan is not as strong as home as he thinks. Lol |
IDeyNL:no mind bat and Batists. Whatever agreement he has with Buhari let them leave us out of it. I dare say Buhari owes him nothing sef, he already ensured that all Tinubu's boys got juicy roles (Fowler, Aregberascal, Lai, Gbajabiamila, Fashola, etc). No be a form of repayment be that?? |
jesmond3945:lol. I would think the person you should be quoting directly is the one who came to complain about the bills and ask for help na. Na that person really need this enlightenment. |
leisuretym:just passing by..🚶 https://punchng.com/coronavirus-print-more-naira-notes-tinubu-tells-fg/
|
kingdotman:I believe it is. It was stated that it would run from Feb 10-17. Bubu the cattle herder did not say anything pertaining to an extension. So I don't know why people are assuming the extension for 200ngn is the same as this 'window period' for 500 and 1000 as earlier stated. |
tonididdy:because it isn't a new occurrence. Why are you making it seem like this scenario is even remotely a new one? Bubu has been disregarding court orders for as long as I can remember. These marauders didn't see anything wrong then, so why screaming blue murder now. Lol. They never knew this day would come. All I am waiting for is for Bubu to mandate Femi Adesina to write his usual silly articles/press releases justifying this masterstroke of a move, as he has always done. Now that would be a very iconic boss move, adding premium salt to the injury 😁😎 |
Bodmum:as in ehn!!! For the first time, I never knew he could be capable of such a fine masterstroke...what funny is one of his children isn't giving kudos to his daddy of recent now that his daddy is actually doing what will benefit people even though it isn't from a place of any good altruistic intention. But hey anything to put confusion in the camp of the enemies of this country is a prayer answered..even better that he is the one the Lord is using to do the work. When he was disobeying court orders all this while, they never knew this day would come...Lol. Joy like a river in my soul mehn. We don go cashless tey tey, even our businesses requires huge cash to buy the products. So cashless is or own way. Una wey need notes, 200 is back! |
studyless123:you will bounce back. I don't know you, but I'm here to just tell you what I have a hunch you already know, which is that you will bounce back. It takes a certain kind of courage and guts to make the moves you have made, jumping into the deep end of the pool. Same courage and guts are evident in people who have achieved greatness. Keep your head straight and before you know it, you will strike GOLD again, but this time wiser and better prepared/equipped. Cheers. |
seunpinky:stir me up? I thought we had wished each other good luck in this life's journey months ago? Lol ok. Cheers. |
LordAdam16:at the bolded, Op was talking about Nigerians in diaspora doing business there, and not back in Nigeria. To your other points, you are 💯 correct. I share similar views. Cheers. |
4 pages and not even up to 20 names..bear in mind more than half of the names mentioned na 'oldies' that made those moves decades ago. Now ask yourselves if after over 6 decades and generations, you can say Nigerians are doing well in business overseas. I emboldened the overseas cos it appear some folks with low comprehension that were quoting me with very weak slurs missed tha fact that op was talking about Nigerians in diaspora doing business overseas and not Nigerians in diaspora doing business back in Nigeria. The overwhelming majority of Nigerians do jobs overseas, not business, except maybe church business sha😎 Also to provide an update of sorts, Gatwick airport majority shares (over 50%) were sold to Vinci in 2021. GIP (Bayo Ogunlesi) still retains the remaining shares/ownership though. |
Lol. Unfortunately, most Nigerians who emigrate are not entrepreneurial. As it was in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, it is till now. Unlike other races and nationalities (Indians, Asians, Mexicans) that also emigrate, but over the years have made their mark and are thus more formidable as an racial/ethnic bloc/community, most Naija simply do not have their brains wired for entrepreneurship...even harder to think that way now considering how difficult it is to make enough money to start a business in 2023, not to mention the inherent risks. Which Gbadebo or Okoro would wanna risk losing what took him maybe 25+ years to accumulate if their business goes belly up? When they do have children, for the few that have truly special children that have the fire, they have to come back home to really make sense. Demand and supply! Do you think Andela would have made any mark in the US? Demand and supply. Andela in the US is just another bee in a swarm of bees, but in Nigeria, same Andela is a queen bee.....now the shocking part is even these special children that have it in them, you can literally count them by hand. Like most emigrants state here on this forum, most moved overseas just to live a happier life. Being an entrepreneur certainly and evidently isn't in the cards for most Nigerian emigrants. Lol |
grammarian247:nice word play💯 |
February 10 deadline is sacrosanct! Remember how they made it seem like they cared when they riled us all against Jonathan when he wanted to remove subsidy in 2012. They didn't care then, they were only looking out for their selfish interest and used the people's Fury and angst to achieve their aim. They are doing it again now. Are you gonna side with them cos of this discomfort just like 2012 subsidy removal attempt or are you gonna hold firm as we witness their ill gotten stashed billions go to waste as one hell of a karma? They don't care about you!!!! All the storms and sufferings they have put Nigerians through, no one spoke for the people then o, but they all have voices now. You wanna continue protecting their ill gotten money for them FOC...Ok o |
Haha. This should be interesting.😎 |
My instincts tell me this is all made-up bull. Give us names, let's verify the authenticity of this story and stop with this joro olumofin type fictional bullshit. Next thing you know cheating women will start latching on to this when they get caught and owned by a paternity test, only in real life they won't agree to have their own DNA ran. Inject some credibility and provide name or gtfoh with this made up bull. |
odi1278:you have spoken wisely. I share your sentiments to a T. |
Racoon:does that aboki obey court orders? Expect a firm statement from him and/or CBN on how Feb 10 remains the deadline. They will use legal rigmarole as they have always done to evade that court order. Discomfort or not, I'm happy to see them antagonising themselves. More bouts of confusion and burning hot coals be rained down into the camps of the PDAPC, I pray. |
Filter..lol |
dyera:lol. Seun and Femi are siblings. Seun is the baby of the house. Both of them are Fela's sons. |
Hehehe... insignificant twats who took on a god complex...cant even save themselves from mere mortals just like them, can't heal disease..What's worse is, I can bet these hardened bastards haven't learnt a damn thing from this sordid experience. This hand wey touch you, may it not depart. Furthermore, may it also locate all the other evil rogues who have sworn to live as Pharaoh's at the detriment of millions of others. |
fact of the matter is it has all ended up to be rubbish. The supposed corrupt people and kidnappers etc whom this was supposed to sting, ain't gonna feel any sting now. Legal tender or not, as long as that money can be accepted at a bank and paid into an account, it still holds its value. So if I have 500billion stashed all I have to do is funnel it all into some accounts lobatan. Vote buying nko, if someone is give 5k, 10k or whatever as bribe to vote, they can simply now take the 5k or 10k to the bank and that's that. So all those reports of people dumping bales of 1000 and 500 naira notes in stupendous quantity across the country, na im be say those wey see am and pack am don jam free manna from above be that. I saw a post where a tricycle was supposedly abandoned and filled to the brim with old notes. Abeg who know where that tricycle dey?? So ultimately, nothing worthwhile was achieved at the end of the day..and I am freaking pissed!!!🤬 |

nice of you to clarify this, so people know the difference. But still.. For a long time I have held the notion that those two questions on strengths and weaknesses are vapid, stupid and are not in the top 100 of employers' actual considerations or expectations about you or the job in question. No one assigns job roles or formulates KPIs with any recourse to the crappy answers derived from these crappy questions. Ati HR o, ati boss o, I can assure you within the 3mins after you have answered those two silly questions, that they have already forgotten any crap you might have said. It is a crappy formality that no one in these parts really remembers or gives a damn about, but we still somehow consider it a critical part of interviews. Straight jacket thinking is a weakness of those who still NEEDLESSLY major on the minor (things like this) and minor on the major (the things that actually create and foster a great working environment for skilled staff). The only reason the interviewer was stunned by those incredulous answers and still remembers them is because they are unlike the basic, vapid, 'expected' answers in the cookbook. Lol The end. |
