QuinModah:What people keep on failing to understand is that the problems in Nigeria are solved in UK. But the solutions in Nigeria are problems in UK. The two are very opposite. But both sides still have problems. |
PulaPower:China and North Korea are dictatorship country. Lagos is a one state in a country called Nigeria, under democracy. You are comparing a complete country to only one state. |
Alwayshungry:The boat is ordinary ferry carry people and cars to another place. It is not a rescue boat with divers and other equipment. That's why it's only shirt and knickers people you're seeing there. See a better video of the story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcV57s--xSY |
Berrityga: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcV57s--xSY This is the complete story. She went to the beach with her parents on that balloon floating thing. Parents didn't notice when the water pushed her away. She is roughly 800m from the shore (less than 1 km) The passing ferry (boat) saw and rescued her. But her parents had already reported her missing to local authorities and they were already looking for her. This incident took place 2 years ago, 2021. - The person who posted the story made it look as if, it happened today 2023, as if the girl was 1000km in the high seas. As if the girls family were careless. |
ednut1:Out of all the types of women in the world, Nigerisn women take LAST position. The next higher level is other black Africans. Above black is Indian /Asian, above Asian is European, and white American blond. Its according to skin colour. But nigerian women is last position. They are basically UNICEF/UNHCR material. People from war torn, or flood disaster areas that require 100% Aid and rescue. They don't have anything. Just only big mouth to eat food. |
Samantha124:They will leave you and go and settle for a broke useless guy? Please explain more. |
MatrixCircle:No. This is not the result. Useless people at Alausa is the result. Planning permission and materials testing is done there. The Engineer can only tell the client how much material to buy. The client will run and call one "bastard" builder. The builder will mix materials anyhow, Alausa people will come and see the error, but collect bribe and give the builder pass mark. Then the building will fall. So how does that concern the original Engineer? He calculated everything and specified the required materials. But nobody took his recommendations. Should he take cane and start flogging the client, builder and Alausa people? |
ecolime:Our core problem is political. As the political is not settled, it has led to anger and bitterness with has given birth to insecurity. The only thing money can do to eliminate these problems is to carry you away, totally out of the country to overseas country. |
At a time in the past, when I lived in the UK, I worked in a call centre. We were given this earphone thing to wear on our heads. Anyway, It's all computers and networking stuff in the office. Me, I no get work for Nigeria before, na there wey I see work do. Thank God for that time. Well, there's different departments calling different types of customers in there. One of them was called Northern Rock. I have jack of an idea about anything. They told us that Northern Rock is a loan company. That people (oyibo people) have taken loans from the company and are supposed to pay back according to agreement. Our job was now to phone the customers and threaten dem small, so they will pay. Threaten kini? Me wey dey find visa, make I follow dey threaten oyibo for their own country again? E cannot work. I was just using gentle voice to talk. But the core local oyibos were threatening anyhow on the phone. "we will come and collect your car, collect your house if you don't pay". Everybody was forming their own threat to make the customers pay. I hated that work. The thing was just tearing my brain psychologically. Our boss just told us, those people deserve it to be threatened. They took the loan and now want to escape payment. Ah God! Life. Today now, we too have followed oyibo path and now both collecting loans and fearing phone call. I never thought this would happen in Nigeria.

Goodman247:Why do you say that? |
I should use my money to watch Nigerians misbehaving? I don't need to spend money on that. I'm already surrounded by Nigerians misbehaving in real life, 24/7 What I want to watch is Nigerians behaving well movie. I will pay full price to watch that one. |
baralatie:Cockroaches hang inside soakaway pit or chamber in your backyard. Open it you will see 1000s there. That's why it hard to eliminate them from the home. You kill 2, 5 more come from that soakaway. That's their village. |
thesicilian:There's nothing wrong with the cockroach blood. It is its body that is polluted. Open soakaway chamber at the back of your house, you will see 1000s of cockroaches hanging under the slab. That's where they stay during the day and make their way into your kitchen at night. Sh1t body inside your soup. |
mike8804:When Germany makes BMW, Mercedes and Audi and we are here killing ourselves to buy their car. New one, Second Hand, Third Hand sef. But we will go and make our own car and use. GTBank wanted to finish Innoson sometime 2018/19. |
dangoteinlaw:I feel for the trade. Structural engineers will calculate the exact material required to put the structure up. But because we don't really know if materials are actually what they are supposed to be, the structural engineer then has to add a factor of safety: ie, some extra material is added to ensure that even if the builder buys rubbish in the market, the building will still stand based on the calculations. If he doesn't communicate this well, the client would think, he's just making the building expensive with plenty materials. it's the experience of communication that structural engineers require. The Brick layer doesn't know any of these calculations. But if he communicates better (speaking Yoruba etc), the client might connect better with him and believe what he says over the Engineer. |
AbdulMagaji:Nigeria don't have mind for that. But we have mind to kidnap fellow Nigerians and remove their organs So who is worsr now? Nigeria or USA? |
Wakins:In truth, it does depend as you said. But the reality is that once you pick the first one, the second one is coming along. Before you know it, it becomes a regular thing. Every weekend. |
Fuckyoumod:Spoken like a true Nigeria. An insulter of others. That's how we will continue insulting each other in this country and going nowhere. I've spoken. I await my own insult. Abi? |
Emma1Oj:Actually you didn't say anything at all. Nigeria has multiple languages. 500+ Even though we are speaking English (here on this forum) and colonised by British, many people are totally unhappy with the idea of speaking English and they refuse to speak it. In that case, how can you communicate with them? The people who colonised Nigerian (Britian) are all speaking one language, English. And they remain stronger than Nigeria . As long as we continue disagreeing to accept English or ANY OTHER ONE SINGLE LANGUAGE, this country will never move anywhere. No leader can do anything about it. Even his cabinet will be fighting each other due to language differences. And that's the fate of this country. |
muyico:If you need the job, submit your phone, do your job and collect your salary and go. You were not born with phone gummed to your hand. So the employer is not mutilating you. The boss can clearly see that this generation is unfocused, checking phone 27 times a day for useless messages. If however you believe that you cannot let go of whatever message you are checking inside your phone, then carry your phone along with you and go and find another job. - Although this example is not perfect, but this is the Nokia 9300. It came out around 2007/8.. As you can see, it doesn't have any camera. Almost all other Nokias back then had cameras. This one was created to prevent employees of organisations from taking pictures of company stuff. It's just an example though. But if you can't accept the employers conditions on phone usage, then leave the job and save him and yourself headache.

Urheadmaster:Please I'm tired of hearing this "Giant of Africa". That is 60 years old, olden-days gist. Nigeria has failed that one since 60 years ago. Even your parents weren't even born the last time that phrase made any sense. You can call Nigeria a highly populated nation. But of what use is that bullsh!t? Austria and other European nations have less population than Lagos. But their GDP is higher than the whole West Africa. Borning plenty pikin doesn't make a nation great. Nobody calls this country anything again. |
ibtommy:Simple.! If they don't like it, they should get out. |
DrDunamis:Simple correct answer. Enough of all this "White man is sacred" mentality. We should always stand for ourselves. |
All the Nigerian foods. Offer with confidence. If they don't like it, they should enter their aeroplane and F*** off. How can you come to my country and tell me that my food is bad? Did I send you message? When you travel to their country, you will open your wide mouth and be eating their burger and chicken. You no go even form healthy-living sef. |
marlow1962:If you do a transfer at an ATM it sometimes shows the name and other times no name. So it's very possible to make the error. |
QuinModah:Eh, they will first close their mouth and learn the process. After learning they will understand After understanding they can suggest. And if the suggestion is not taken, they should close their mouth back. After all they don't have their own company that they are running in their house. And don't know anything about how to start a company like that one. |
Zimmermann:I think it's only CEOs who are employed to shout at everybody and change the whole structure of the company. But that CEO would have understudied that particular organisation for numerous years and knows exactly what he is doing before he is employed. Elon Musk entered Twitter and sacked workers off. Well, later he sha said he made mistake and has lost money. The Google man, too. Facebook man, Microsoft man... Those are the people that enter company and change things. |

Asamota:You are jumping into wrong conclusion! As I said before, you the client are the one that caused the problem of the yahoo boys. |
Brendaniel:We are going to continue suffering from stupid issues like this until we learn to pay livable minimum wage. One dissatisfied UNDERPAID worker somewhere just pulled out one USB flash drive and went home. O Pari! The whole BVAS scattered. People speaking English up and down. Abi, who are those that will carry out the real BVAS work and maintenance 24/7? Is it not low level staff? Things like this don't happen in Western countries because the lowest level workers are still able to live properly with their salary without begging for money/dash. That their salary can cover food transport rent and small savings. In Nigeria, it is simply not so. The worker cannot have rest of mind as he knows the salary will not take him to the end of the month. And this is why key systems in Nigeria will continue to fail. |
Asamota:I worked in a welding company once. The man welds and fabricates stuff. He has plenty machines. Youth will come there to learn work. After 1 month when they see the TINY salary the man is paying, they will just steal on or two metal stuff and run outside the company and start their own welding workshop across the road. Then YOU the client will go and meet them for your welding needs, and avoid the proper man inside the company. Now the man is almost alone there with all the equipment and no workers to help him finish work. Who caused the problem? Is it not you? |
