Its also because in Nigeria in most cases we use normal paint. Whereas abroad they use thermo plastic paint that it hard and stays on the road for much longer. Its only JB and a few other bigger road construction companies that use the proper thing.

Ah, I did driving lessons over there for about 6 to 8 months.
I was using the instructor's lesson car.
The guy didn't want me to go for driving test. He just kept on prolonging the lessons.
Because if I use his lesson car, and fail the test, it will be a bad mark on their driving school.
He said that's how it is in UK. He also wanted to DELETE all my Nigerian driving skills very well.
People must read the driving lessons book cover-to-cover and pass all the lessons 100%, before even going for driving test.
... all that before you can even have driving license.
And they don't have under-bridge boys to arrange fake license for somebody.
Police will arrest you if you even attempt to go on the road without licenses.
Everybody driving on the road are all properly trained and passed drivers.
They don't drive anyhow in that country.
(I later passed sha and got proper UK driving license 2 weeks after the test)

Some older people I asked, said that when they failed driving test, they just gave up and continued to use public transport for the rest of their lives. Driving car is not by force.

There was a time I studied in the UK. One day, I got into a car with some friends, (church things), and we went on the expressway. I noticed all the painted lines, with very thick paint. And I asked them, how come their own paint is still on their road? Our own Nigerian paint don clean comot tey-tey. They just replied that road lines are there, because it's regularly painted there.

People stop being patriotic to the nation when the government starts to cheat them.

Well, they typically have to work with a budget.
There's no point building structures to prevent flooding, if you still have to wait 10,000 years before the flood actually happens.
But this one of the Lagdo dam in cameroon, it is Nigerian's fault.
Cameroon built theirs since the early 80's and Nigerian government should have visualised this flooding scenario
and built our own damn along the river Benue.
But government in, government out, none of them built anything.
