Bomboi: Papaaaaa you should be proud of me o. Do you know that there are 960k+ members on nairaland and over 1 million topics? Of the one million, only about 5% get to the front page. And many people will see your my name across the world.

Yes sir it has changed. Whoever bought that bra bought as an investment and not for wear-and-throway.

I don't know what part of the world you live in but even to Melinda Gates, a 2.5millon dollar bra will be a trifle too expensive as a clothing item. Them wealthy folks don't become billionaires by wearing $2.5 million dollar bras.

But my point was- why would you wear such bra only to cover it with a top, the lady can as well go topless so she can flaunt the bra. After all the idea behind buying it ought to be to flaunt it right?
FashionRe: If A Bra Is Worth $2.5 Million, Is It Still A Bra? by vascey(op): 3:19pm On Oct 21, 2012
MRbrownJAY: what makes you think that EVERYONE who buys expensive garments automatically want/need to flaunt them? just because thats what YOU will do, does not mean other will....... and in the world that we live in today, most women flaunt their 5$ bras anyway, let alone a 2.5Milla one, lol! why do you think it should be any different now?
Hey! take it easy Mister.
Can't say I really understand you.

Basic functionality of a bra is ....
But when you purchase it for $2.5 million, its no longer basic.

U git my drift?

PS: Abeg o... I don't cross dress so when you say "that's what YOU would do", that statement is not applicable to me.

Bra worth $2.5 million unveiled by Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio
Lingerie maker Victoria's Secret unveils its ultimate Christmas present - a custom made bra valued at $2.5 million adorned with 5200 precious gems.

Last week it was leaked that Brazilian super Alessandra Ambrosio would be the heavenly body to model Victoria's Secret's jewel-encrusted lingerie at this year's upcoming catwalk extravaganza, and now we can see what the multi-million dollar set looks like.

Each year, a chosen Angel dons a one-off, custom-made 'Fantasy Bra' to close the much-publicised show. Last year the honour was given to Miranda Kerr, but this time Ambrosio will take up the gauntlet just seven months after the birth of her second child, a son named Noah.

The $2.5m (£1.55m) bra, unveiled in New York, has 5200 precious gems on it, including a 20 carat diamond and huge ruby.

Named the 'Floral Fantasy' set, the bra and matching belt have been created by Long Island's London Jewelers.

"It's so unique you know it's this piece of art that you get to wear and it has over 5000 precious gems so you just have all these diamonds around and you have this 20 carat diamond right here. It feels amazing to wear," Ms Ambrosio said.

Abeg o... If a bra is worth $2.5million, is it still a bra? I don't think so. Abi if you are wearing a bra worth that amount, will you not want other people to see it? Will you cover it with cloth like the normal bra?

IMO when a bra is worth this amount, it has turned from bra to proper dress o.

What do you think?

Truth is that as long as BB still exists, android and apple makers will remain insecure. They will keep looking at their backs.

In addition to that, BB users (in developed countries not Naija where omo alata uses BB) represent potential android and apple customers. Since all the conventional marketing didn't get to these loyalists (keeping RIM afloat), apple and android makers have now implemented psyche targeted marketing. Hitting on the mind of the users of BBM. It won't be far-fetched to assume that this smear campaign was started by them.

But they will fail. As long as they don't have the answer to BBM, RIM will keep standing.

Not even Dora the explorer is suitable.
Also ban them from celebrating christmas on the 25th of december since it also has pagan origins.
Then u can ban them from going to school because u never know who's who.
Please realise that inorder to raise healthy and happy children you should allow them go through the wonderful experiences that other kids go through. What memories would they be able to share with others and even your grand kids except ''Momma banned me from doing it. Never understood why.''

I mean, what harm has trick or treaty done to your kids apart from making them happy?

Abeeegi! Lemme hear!

When people are morally lacking, you don't blame it on the system.
Like a poster said, this also happens in US. Will you blame their state too?

I don't have a hard time believing this but to blame it on the economy is totally wrong.

After all there are street sweepers, beggars, akara fryers and all what not.

These people... I don't even know what to call them. I can't judge them though but you equaally can't blame the government for this.
RomanceRe: Sex Is More Spiritual Than Physical by vascey(m): 5:13pm On Oct 20, 2012
I don't know about transmitting spiritual ills via sex. But I do know that pre-marital and adulterous sex is a sin in the eyes of God (so says my bible).

Sin definitely weakens your spiritual immunity and leaves you open to a lot of ungodly things.

But if you accept Jesus, there's nothing he can't forgive or cleanse.

@ Op I equate your argument to saying that non-smokers are not going to have cancer. In reality, we know that's not the case.

Despite the cleanliness and morality shown by some people, they are still tormented by poverty, sickness, bad luck, demons et al. At the same time, some people with who have a voracious and insatiable sexual life are enjoying life to the fullest.

Life is very complicated my friend. Nothing is caste in stone.

I wish we could have the answers but no one really knows. All we have are the believers and the unbelievers.

PhonesNew Threats To Android Devices by vascey(op): 7:33pm On Oct 15, 2012
FORTUNE — Developers often complain about the hoops Apple (AAPL) makes them jump through to get their wares into the iOS App Store. But the company has its reasons — besides its 30% cut of the revenue — and one of them was illustrated by the warning issued Friday by the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).

“The IC3 has been made aware of various malware attacking Android operating systems for mobile devices,” it begins. “Some of the latest known versions of this type of malware are Loozfon and FinFisher.”

Loozfon is an information-stealing piece of malware. Criminals use different variants to lure the victims. One version is a work-at-home opportunity that promises a profitable payday just for sending out email. A link within these advertisements leads to a website that is designed to push Loozfon on the user’s device. The malicious application steals contact details from the user’s address book and the infected device’s phone number.
FinFisher is a spyware capable of taking over the components of a mobile device. When installed the mobile device can be remotely controlled and monitored no matter where the Target is located. FinFisher can be easily transmitted to a Smartphone when the user visits a specific web link or opens a text message masquerading as a system update.
For owners of smartphones running on Google (GOOG) Android platform — including those made by Samsung, Motorola and HTC — the Bureau offer these safety tips:

When purchasing a Smartphone, know the features of the device, including the default settings. Turn off features of the device not needed to minimize the attack surface of the device.
Depending on the type of phone, the operating system may have encryption available. This can be used to protect the user’s personal data in the case of loss or theft.
With the growth of the application market for mobile devices, users should look at the reviews of the developer/company who published the application.
Review and understand the permissions you are giving when you download applications.
Passcode protect your mobile device. This is the first layer of physical security to protect the contents of the device. In conjunction with the passcode, enable the screen lock feature after a few minutes of inactivity.
Obtain malware protection for your mobile device. Look for applications that specialize in antivirus or file integrity that helps protect your device from rogue applications and malware.
Be aware of applications that enable Geo-location. The application will track the user’s location anywhere. This application can be used for marketing, but can be used by malicious actors raising concerns of assisting a possible stalker and/or burglaries.
Jailbreak or rooting is used to remove certain restrictions imposed by the device manufacturer or cell phone carrier. This allows the user nearly unregulated control over what programs can be installed and how the device can be used. However, this procedure often involves exploiting significant security vulnerabilities and increases the attack surface of the device. Anytime a user, application or service runs in “unrestricted” or “system” level within an operation system, it allows any compromise to take full control of the device.
Do not allow your device to connect to unknown wireless networks. These networks could be rogue access points that capture information passed between your device and a legitimate server.
If you decide to sell your device or trade it in, make sure you wipe the device (reset it to factory default) to avoid leaving personal data on the device.
Smartphones require updates to run applications and firmware. If users neglect this it increases the risk of having their device hacked or compromised.
Avoid clicking on or otherwise downloading software or links from unknown sources.
Use the same precautions on your mobile phone as you would on your computer when using the Internet.
