Olaolufred: Not true.Baba take it easy na. Did you even read the article?? First word there is "(Reuters)". It was not written by a Nigerian, for Nigerians, about Nigerians, in Nigeria. So how did Naija's decadence enter the matter? ![]() |

COURAGE My Strength is My Courage! |
Lovely pictures. It is said that "those who adopt other peoples' culture are like those that have no sense of self worth. They have a continuous and insatiable need to fill their hollow existence with whatever is considered fashionable by CNN, E! et al". Perhaps they are just having fun?? Maybe. But how about putting all that energy into something real, something original and something African. MI says it all in "Crowd Mentality- Feat Uche (Album: Talk About It)"- Be Black, Be Beautiful, Be Strong, Be Correct, Be Nice, Be Good, Be Right, Be Tight, Be Alright, Be Creative, Be Native, Be Real, Have Skills and Be All Be can Be. If you don't have a mind for yourself, don't be disappointed this is good for your health... (Long live MI joor) Break free from the crowd mentality, then we can start to build a new reality. |
ochukoccna: We are burrowing to pay back with high interest rates, yet we are creating a sovereign wealth fund to save moneyIn IFRS, there is something we refer to as effective interest rate. You see, it is easy for them to attempt to bamboozle us by saying that interest rate is at 0.7%. But when you factor in all other management fees, agreement fee (and all what not) as well as non-monetary consideration by the Nigerian government, you would realize that the rate is still at a competitive if not much higher rate. A transparent government would not try to deceive her people by claiming 0.7% interest rate, rather they would disclose fully all considerations in the loan agreement between Nigeria and ADB, especially if they have nothing to hide. And if you want to know who is gaining from this whole debacle, then look towards the bankers and the politicians (by default). Foreign reserve- over $40 billion at what interest rate? Loan from ADB- over $9 billion at "low" interest rates. The international bankers make money off us while we pay ADB... |
Hard to argue against this. He does have a valid point. Happy to know he has not allowed himself to be bullied by NGOs. Yet... |
luvinhubby: Somethings don't add up:Precisely!! And the bank is in on it too. Sanusi should investigate Aig and co for giving out shareholders' and depositors' money anyhow they like. But I doubt anyone will ever investigate Aig. He dines with the president. |
Saw Maduka on Channels this morning really vibrating. I am really disappointed that a shrewd business man like Maduka would allow a small boy like Uba take him for a ride. There is only one way Uba could have done it. And that is enticing Maduka with profit far above his normal RoI. That is the oldest trick in the book. If not tell me why Maduka, having been warned of Uba's shady deals, would go ahead and enter a highly risky venture with him? Probably for higher profit from the sale of PMS As a business man, your first rule is "to protect your principal" and Maduka has goofed seriously. |
acidosis™:I tell you. This guy got me cracking. |
Rukemi291: I really feel for u, bro.Very important. I met an engineering graduate who had been teaching for eight years but recently got a technical job with a top multinational conglomerate. |
CONJI: I know with his salary alone , he can put up something of this nature any where in the world. Let us stop back biting in this country, it did us no good. Please!Next time use "modify" |
ohisola: Oh boy, apart fr dat philippines and Greece d odas don't exit 4 al I care. Dat Alaska own na river abi ice dem build amNa y other Africans hate us die. We too dey believe ourselves. LOL |
Billyonaire: On a second thought, I can only assume that Mr. Ribadu who is known for his prowess in fighting corruption can not allow other committee members to water down his findings, and they can only resort to in-fighting. So if my assumption is right, then we have the real deal, if not, change has to be gradual. We need to have a permanent taskforce monitoring our Petroleum upstream and downstream, regulatory agencies etc. Na small small. No matter his prowess or track record, if a committee is given an assignment and he hijacks the assignment for any reason (without supporting documentation), then he has undermined any output of that committee. It is quite simple. A tree never makes a forest nor a man a committee. |
Billyonaire: Yea, take a deep look at the picture again, the way she smiles at Mr. President, not able to fix her eyes on him. Its like she loves my abled President. If am Mr. President, I wont mind o. She looks cute (Just joking). The look is like " I knw what we did last night when your wife was not around" LOL. Abeg sorry 4 derailing the thread o. But really our government and their committees are just a laughing matter. |
garri_gangster: So, some people here are saying that GEJ set up the committee and then tried to discredit their report??Nooo... G_G, it's just the kind of coincidence conspiracy theories are made of. You must agree in the world of Nigerian politics, such a theory would not be far fetched. |
Billyonaire: Yea, I noticed that too. She has that sheepy smile of some lover. Are you pondering what am pondering ? Just joking.Dude 2 people pondering what we are pondering = PM News Headline + City People news. |
Billyonaire: Yes, you are right. But I took my time to go through that report, in real honesty, they didnt dig deep. They simply gathered data from the organizations they are supposed to investigate. I think there was in fighting already. I can only assume that the entire petroleum sector has to be overhauled totally. There are so much dirty deals going on in the Oil Fields.I agree with you. I read that report too but couldn't help thinking that- this looks like a summary to me, where is the main report? They didn't ig deep enough. |
It is a wonderful coincidence that 2 post-subsidy committees set up to review the petroleum sector have botched their mandates due to flawed process. I dey laff in swahili. I am not surprised though. For a such a seemingly "clueless" man to get to this position, he must have some "evil 10" qualities. On a lighter note, anyone noticed how Deziani is looking at Jona in picture 2?? Hmmm... Are u sure some "shining" is not going on in the presidential villa? No be me talk o. |
Mr. Globe:This is the stuff diss tracks are made off. Dude are u a lyricist or stuff like that? The venom make sense (from an artistic point of view). Couldn't care less about Freeze nor Brother Don Jazzy matter. |
Fantastic. Simply Fantastic!! Dude you are a very good writer. I suggest u explore this skill commercially. Very funny and engaging. Your adjectives like @Itsmodella said are just on point- fish, okporoko...LOL As for the listening problem. There's something my people say- "God will not allow the good thing I'm doing for someone else turn to a bad thing for me". If your listening becomes excessive, then you harm yourself. I suggest you continue to listen but in good measure. |
Okija_juju: If a kid scratches my car... https://static.fjcdn.com/gifs/OWNED_2bfffc_1254445.gifBros u will do natin! LOL |
michylabo: One crazy child, whom i cldnt identify, wrote on the bonnet of my honda with a sharp object. He 1st wrote 1+1 =3, then cancelled and wrote =2. On top my car.... sheyie2007: Some annoying kid wrote OBO with a nail on my Dad's car back home...it was so embarrassing that he had to do a body work that day.... He was so flipping pissed..they even drew a di#k-like figure beside it...I was in traffic when I read this and with the kind laff wey I scatter, passers-by must have thought I am crazy. If any kid needs to be flogged, this kid deserves it 100%. LMAO. Damnnnnnn!!!! ![]() |
pastormustwac: QUESTION: YOU FOLKS THAT COMMENT,Well said sir. I don't practice anything zodiac but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. I mean that science has survived thousands of years so something has to be right about it. But it's not my thing. My destiny is in my hands. |
Well mine happened about two months ago. I went to see a friend that was travelling. His house is along a busy road so I had to park in his compound (and the compound had several shops in front). On coming back to my car, I noticed that a kid had written overlapping 1,1.. from the front bonnet side (on the driver's side) to the back door. It was really terrible. I asked the folks around if there was any kid around who could have done that. To cut the long story short, they called some little girl and she said her younger sister (about 3 years old) was the culprit. Their mum wasn't around so no one to pour my anger on. I sha cleaned those parts wit brake oil (though the marks are still there). Anyway, I saw some dude's car on my way to work today and his was like 50 interlocking circles on the driver's side. This guy was driving a corolla 2011. It was terrible. I couldn't help but laugh though as I had seen a kindred victim. And his was even worse than mine. So has it ever happened to you? What did you do? |
