Foreign AffairsRe: Obama's Victory Spells Trouble For Israel's Netanyahu by vascey(m): 4:46pm On Nov 07, 2012
Olaolufred: Not true.
Obama is to defend US interest, not his personal interests.
Don't allow the societal decadence in your country Nigeria to blindfold you from the reality that
others still have sense of responsibility to their people.
Netanyahu may have prefared the Republican candidate because they are more aggressive going to war.
However, Democrats will still support Isreal, though with cause towards unnecessary aggressions.
Baba take it easy na.
Did you even read the article?? First word there is "(Reuters)". It was not written by a Nigerian, for Nigerians, about Nigerians, in Nigeria.
So how did Naija's decadence enter the matter? undecided

Lovely pictures.

It is said that "those who adopt other peoples' culture are like those that have no sense of self worth.
They have a continuous and insatiable need to fill their hollow existence with whatever is considered fashionable by CNN, E! et al".

Perhaps they are just having fun?? Maybe.

But how about putting all that energy into something real, something original and something African.

MI says it all in "Crowd Mentality- Feat Uche (Album: Talk About It)"- Be Black, Be Beautiful, Be Strong, Be Correct, Be Nice, Be Good, Be Right, Be Tight, Be Alright, Be Creative, Be Native, Be Real, Have Skills and Be All Be can Be.

If you don't have a mind for yourself, don't be disappointed this is good for your health... (Long live MI joor)

Break free from the crowd mentality, then we can start to build a new reality.
PoliticsRe: FG Unveils $9.3bn External Borrowing Plan by vascey(m): 10:41am On Nov 06, 2012
ochukoccna: We are burrowing to pay back with high interest rates, yet we are creating a sovereign wealth fund to save money embarassed embarassed
Sounds like penny wise ,pound foolish to me. embarassed embarassed

Also I doubt the effectiveness of the above quote credited to her
Are interest rates that low for such a maturity date? huh
Nigeria currently pays between 13-17% on burrowed money used to service her bonds while Spain ,Italy and Portugal are shying away from 6-7%burrowing costs, yet ADB is offering 0.7% interest rates and we still burrow at 13-17% shocked shocked shocked
Yet there are no visible changes in infrastructural development
Is this not the same Ngozi who spoke of SURE-P once upon a time?
Nigerian politics and Economics are so similar, the more you see the less you understand it
In IFRS, there is something we refer to as effective interest rate.
You see, it is easy for them to attempt to bamboozle us by saying that interest rate is at 0.7%.
But when you factor in all other management fees, agreement fee (and all what not) as well as non-monetary consideration by the Nigerian government, you would realize that the rate is still at a competitive if not much higher rate.
A transparent government would not try to deceive her people by claiming 0.7% interest rate, rather they would disclose fully all considerations in the loan agreement between Nigeria and ADB, especially if they have nothing to hide.

And if you want to know who is gaining from this whole debacle, then look towards the bankers and the politicians (by default).
Foreign reserve- over $40 billion at what interest rate? Loan from ADB- over $9 billion at "low" interest rates.
The international bankers make money off us while we pay ADB...

luvinhubby: Somethings don't add up:
Coscharis stood as guarantor for Ifeanyi Uba in Access Bank where he Coscharis is a Director for a credit facility yo tune of $285 million after receiving caution from people that Ifeanyi has a track record of being fraudulent.
He must be either a fool or greedy.
Precisely!!

And the bank is in on it too.

Sanusi should investigate Aig and co for giving out shareholders' and depositors' money anyhow they like.
But I doubt anyone will ever investigate Aig. He dines with the president.
BusinessRe: Ifeanyi Ubah Is A Fraudster – Cosmas Maduka by vascey(m): 3:33pm On Nov 05, 2012
Saw Maduka on Channels this morning really vibrating.

I am really disappointed that a shrewd business man like Maduka would allow a small boy like Uba take him for a ride.

There is only one way Uba could have done it. And that is enticing Maduka with profit far above his normal RoI.
That is the oldest trick in the book. If not tell me why Maduka, having been warned of Uba's shady deals, would go ahead and enter a highly risky venture with him? Probably for higher profit from the sale of PMS

As a business man, your first rule is "to protect your principal" and Maduka has goofed seriously.

PoliticsRe: Disagreements As Ribadu Committee Submits Report by vascey(m): 10:31am On Nov 03, 2012
Billyonaire: On a second thought, I can only assume that Mr. Ribadu who is known for his prowess in fighting corruption can not allow other committee members to water down his findings, and they can only resort to in-fighting. So if my assumption is right, then we have the real deal, if not, change has to be gradual. We need to have a permanent taskforce monitoring our Petroleum upstream and downstream, regulatory agencies etc. Na small small.
No matter his prowess or track record, if a committee is given an assignment and he hijacks the assignment for any reason (without supporting documentation), then he has undermined any output of that committee. It is quite simple. A tree never makes a forest nor a man a committee.

PoliticsRe: Disagreements As Ribadu Committee Submits Report by vascey(m): 10:18am On Nov 03, 2012
Billyonaire: Yes, you are right. But I took my time to go through that report, in real honesty, they didnt dig deep. They simply gathered data from the organizations they are supposed to investigate. I think there was in fighting already. I can only assume that the entire petroleum sector has to be overhauled totally. There are so much dirty deals going on in the Oil Fields.
I agree with you. I read that report too but couldn't help thinking that- this looks like a summary to me, where is the main report?

They didn't ig deep enough.
PoliticsRe: Disagreements As Ribadu Committee Submits Report by vascey(m): 10:14am On Nov 03, 2012
It is a wonderful coincidence that 2 post-subsidy committees set up to review the petroleum sector have botched their mandates due to flawed process. I dey laff in swahili.

I am not surprised though. For a such a seemingly "clueless" man to get to this position, he must have some "evil 10" qualities.

On a lighter note, anyone noticed how Deziani is looking at Jona in picture 2?? Hmmm... Are u sure some "shining" is not going on in the presidential villa? No be me talk o.

If your listening becomes excessive, then you harm yourself. I suggest you continue to listen but in good measure.

pastormustwac: QUESTION: YOU FOLKS THAT COMMENT,
1. HAVE YOU EVER TRIED USING THE ZODIAC SIGNS FOR ANYTHING AND IT FAILS?
2. YOU SIMPLY DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ANY TRUTH TO IT AND NEVER TRIED IT?
3. YOU WERE TAUGHT BY YOUR VARIOUS RELIGIONS THAT IT IS FALSE AND DOES NOT REALLY WORK?
4. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS AND BELIEVE IT IS ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.

WELL, I DONT LIVE BY IT, BUT I UNDERSTAND ITS PRINCIPLES, AND IT DOES WORK, YOUR ACCEPTANCE DOES NOT CHANGE IT.
Well said sir.
I don't practice anything zodiac but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. I mean that science has survived thousands of years so something has to be right about it.

But it's not my thing. My destiny is in my hands.
Car TalkHas A Kid Ever Scratched Your Car? Like Written A, B. C... by vascey(op): 7:51pm On Nov 01, 2012
Well mine happened about two months ago. I went to see a friend that was travelling. His house is along a busy road so I had to park in his compound (and the compound had several shops in front).

On coming back to my car, I noticed that a kid had written overlapping 1,1.. from the front bonnet side (on the driver's side) to the back door. It was really terrible. I asked the folks around if there was any kid around who could have done that.

To cut the long story short, they called some little girl and she said her younger sister (about 3 years old) was the culprit. Their mum wasn't around so no one to pour my anger on. I sha cleaned those parts wit brake oil (though the marks are still there).

Anyway, I saw some dude's car on my way to work today and his was like 50 interlocking circles on the driver's side. This guy was driving a corolla 2011. It was terrible. I couldn't help but laugh though as I had seen a kindred victim. And his was even worse than mine.

So has it ever happened to you? What did you do?
