I weak when I read that news this morning. Reflective jackets for daytime use? 40 million times how much per jacket? Someone is about to hammer at the cost of the citizens and infrastructure for the nation. Really a sad story. Whoever came up with this needs to be jailed for a long time. Btw, When we keep begging Nigerians to elect the best of the best, they keep screaming let’s try Buhari, let’s try Atiku, let’s try Tinubu, let’s try Babaginda, let’s try Adolf Hitler... mtcheew I remember watching street interviews during the last election and hearing people on the road saying all those things. “Let’s try Buhari again” or whatever, with no concrete reasons, no successful policies to point to, nothing. The problem of Nigeria is Nigerians. |
nedekid:my bank zenith, issued me a ticket for the failed transaction at the GTB atm. |
NOC1:I'm not on twitter, but I will join if I don't see my money soon. They just told me now to wait till Friday, that will make it two whole weeks. Is this how someone will be using atm in Naija? At this point, is it not even better to go to the bank an make withdrawal than use atm this is beyond pathetic at this point |
nedekid:yes I have evidence and a ticket! why would you just assume I don't? |
My confidence in ATMs in Nigeria has now been forever shaken What if that was all the money I had left? So I would be without money for 10 days now? while they take their time |
advanceDNA:It happened on the 14th of this month though, that's like 10 days ago. Usually failed transactions at the ATM are refunded to me in 5 minutes. There are even failed transactions that never get refunded to me, like 500 naira to buy airtime from my bank failed, and was never refunded. I just didn't have the strength to chase that one, cause by the time you call or go to the bank, you would already have used more than 500. but I can't let this one go |
I had a failed ATM transaction at GTB over a week and a half ago, but they are yet to refund my money I have called and called and called, and zenith bank said they have opened tickets and should wait 48 hours but that was over a week ago. I just can't let this go and have my money gone What next step can I take? EFCC or what? I know the money might be small to some people but it is painful. Is this how they take peoples money? cc seun and all mods someone please advice me |
Grgton:But aren’t blacks and whites both humans? Anyways thank God for Sunday, one can peacefully run errands |
Sigh What more can I say? Chaotic untrained drivers, bashing each other’s cars, not adhering to road rules... They won’t even stay in their lanes Why are black people like this? It’s so frustrating driving or going about in Lagos, and God help you if there is traffic, then all the madness just comes out. People even drive in the bush to bypass the traffic and later have to merge back into the road, causing even more chaos Danfo won’t obey any law, and no justice What kind of country is this when you can’t even get 10% justice on Danfos stopping on the road, bashing people’s cars... Defenders of the black race will say, I should be proud of the country, but... like Have you seen your people driving like pure animals? They won’t even let you enter their front, for any reason whatsoever... until you find an angel driver that gives you “chance”; a one in a million type driver in Lagos/Nigeria. Where are they all rushing to? Sorry for my disjointed rants, with no proper structure, I’m just super pissed some situations in naij, and the drivers, oh the drivers! What a disorganized society. Black people why? Have you ever driven in a different country before? Where it’s like a video game? Then you drive in black man Nigeria and the headaches, pains, soul sucking traffic, wicked evil drivers, and the mostly untrained drivers... In all this, police sitting at junction gusting, when there is money to be made from catching all these people. I’m done abeg |
Rosskiiku:Every time, “whites stole, whites stole” Yet you refuse to acknowledge your own thieves and slave traders, like the likes of Ganduje putting money meant for roads in his agbada and caught red handed, but still given clout by political urchins. That money for instance, could build a few Kilometers of road, or some other form of public infrastructure, which would slowly pull Nigeria out of the doldrums. You don’t have to cross the Atlantic to find thieves from centuries past, while cohabitating peacefully with, or turning a blind eye to, your current thieves; a hodgepodge of pilfering vultures. BTW, I thought you’re always saying Nigeria is poor and can’t execute projects for the benefits of its people, but now you say we are executing projects worth billions of dollars... interesting. Lastly, why should I support the notion that desertification is forcing some people to infringe on others property when the solution is simply ranching, instead of nomadic pastoralism? |
Rosskiiku:You always have an excuse handy for all Nigeria’s shortcomings. From blaming the whites to now desertification. Next you will tell us how blacks are superior and Nigeria is the greatest country on earth... But also how Nigeria doesn’t have enough money to build infrastructure |
Remember how some Nigerians were ready to kill for MMM, defending the very obvious scam with fire and fury! I remember I opened multiple warning threads then, but they came in mass cursing, spiting, some probably leaving with broken keyboards and screens. Let's not even talk about warning against a Buhari, cause that's overplayed by now. Once again, it seems Nigerians are ready to dive right into danger, chai https://crazygif.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/fat-man-jumps-into-a-frozen-lake.gif |
I thought resilience was a good thing, but Nigerians have shown, that may not be the case. A scared and cornered animal, attempts to fight back, when pushed up against the wall, but a Nigerian just melts into the wall |
on another thread, one ingenuous soul is asking why no black nation on earth is developed. https://www.nairaland.com/6490763/why-arent-there-developed-successfulmy dear friend, threads like this should provide you your answer. you see the way blacks idolize thieves, even to their own downfall. one person here even said, he knows he is a thief, but still respects him, lol.... I guess for being a big thief for so long. |
Meeen, I don’t even know what to say! Imagine! The police man even responded as if it was a normal thing to do, saying you how can you question a governor. Wow! |
Remember the interview on Aljazeera were Festus Keyamo defended the President breaking his own promise of ending medical tourism, by stating that "It takes time to rebuild all the damaged infrastructure..." That interview was conducted in 2019, and by then, they already had 4 years to build or rebuild as the the case may be. If that excuse was tenable then, what about now? Given another term and 2 years into that term, shouldn't progress have been made in your rebuilding process? So much so that your excuse would no longer hold water? Here is the interview below, with time stamps for the question and answer regarding Buhari's medical tourism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM0xaXR2xt8 @2:01: Interviewer asks Festus Keyamo the related question @2:26: Festus Keyamo's response. |
Ayo2004:but you just wailed yourself just now na? chai ![]() |
This is the guy sarrki is ready to die for, all because of tribe Tribe has finished Nigeria man! No lie. One thief was caught red handed stuffing contractor dollars into agbada, another was caught with bullion van a day before election. Yet, to awon tribal Nigerians, it doesn't matter, as long as igbos or other tribes cry, even if they cry too. I mean the evidence is as clear as day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGCvXTISNns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCx7UXpQPF8

Jakumo:lol, I shouldn't be laughing at such a serious issue, but this was funny. I went to buy rice the other day in lekki and walked past an open gutter, the stench was out of this world; Like poop that had been drying in the sun. Honestly, we will know visionary leaders in Nigeria by big and small things like closing gutters/building sidewalks were the open gutters are. |
This life is not just at times. Oil producing states have been bastardized, their environments highly polluted, the eco system compromised... Nigeria continues to milk these states dry, like they are never ending producing heifers. After all this, some guy in South West has the nerve to say they will send these people packing, while still maintaining One-Nigeria and milking these states. Wow! It just doesn’t make sense. |
OlayemiAshraf:How exactly bro? Allocation comes to all states of Nigeria in billions. How exactly are the states paying for the allocation?
|
PlayerMeji:It seems a lot more places in Abuja have sidewalks instead of open gutters. It needs to become a standard around Nigeria. |
Delta state and other oil producing states have been feeding the whole nation for a while now, so much so that whenever oil prices go down, the nation enters recession. Yet some Yorubas still have the nerve to tell people from those southern states to “Go back to their Village” Wow! Yet, tomorrow, you will still go lie down to collect your own “allocation” from oil money. Honestly, the whole Nigeria should belong to Delta, Rivers... I am not a tribalist, but I am not a one Nigerianist either. Ungrateful lot! |
SarkinYarki:I’m telling you bro, it just doesn’t make sense. Yet they sometimes price these houses and shops in the so called “choice locations” at astronomical prices; prices even higher than in some developed countries were homes have running water, electricity, paved neighborhood roads and no open gutters. |
Below are examples of properties worth 10s or 100s of millions on the island in Lagos, but after paying that money, you still have this type of mess in front of your house. OPEN GUTTERS... it seems no government in any state in Nigeria, has plans for covered drainages and sidewalks. If homes in Victoria Island Lagos are dealing with open gutters, then what about other areas of Lagos and the country? I keep telling Nigerians that good governance is mostly found in the little things that add up to major feats. Little things like proper lane markings on the roads, closed drainages, and so on. These things matter, from an order point of view all the way to attracting tourists. It’s not always by initiating massive projects, some of which become abandoned or neglected, that you’ll know your government is working. Don’t get me wrong, we need those massive projects, but I could argue that, closing all gutters nation-wide, though seemingly unimportant, would have a better long term benefit, than say, an ambitious new bridge. Think tourism, other nationalities could visit Victoria Island in Lagos and not run back to their country with tales of Open and stinky gutters. Then there are health considerations, of having waste openly displayed to the public.
|
Heathrow44:Don’t know about patriotic though, cause Nigeria is not really a unified country. However, I do strongly believe that with love for people, I would do my best to spur development. There are still people who want to see a better Nigeria, or at least a better state or better local government area. |
