Jerryherd:lol, this guy asked that, in the whole of Nigeria, who is better than Tinubu? sigh, Nigerians sha That's how they were asking, in the whole of Nigeria, who is better than Buhari? You would think these guys (Tinubu/Buhari) were so advanced, that they had created TESLA, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, GOOGLE, all by themselves, lol. |
efighter:I just watched Adesina saying the president would be a talkative if he always comes out to talk like... is that guy for real? Buhari hasn't come out to talk to reporters in YEARS and Adesina still thinks him a talkative, na wa! |
We are almost at the end of February and still no media interaction from the president of Nigeria. I will update this thread until the next time Buhari speaks with an interviewer and takes questions. |
Sometimes I wonder what Delta state does with all it oil allocation. Of course they deserve to control their resources and pay a tax to the center, but the fact that they can’t even show massive growth with the allocations available to them today does not bode well for future growth, even when they get to control more of their resources. All in all, we need better politicians across the board, but knowing my people in Nigeria, they hardly care about good leadership. |
One of the basics of life, and the basic responsibility of the government of a society. Yet, we had to dig our own borehole here in Lagos to be able to get water supply, right in the heart of the city. The story is the same for many Lagosians, who either have to rely on boreholes or water tankers for their water supply. We hype these governments and governors, yet day after day, they gloss over the basics, building castles in the sky. |
Divinehealer:See dem here na, shouting for a road that doesn't have Lane Markings, yet collects N250 -N300 per pass It's really like Nigerians love to suffer Any Yoruba guy should tell me boldly now why the great Fela was was wrong in saying that we love Suffering and Smiling Just see how many defenders are ready to die on top illegal toll gate |
See nairaland urchins already pouring out to defend tollgate with their lives, lol ![]() Most of them don't even live in Lagos or pay the toll, but they are loud here, shouting what about this, what about that? |
How can you get away with such blatant corruption in Nigeria, and still be able to call the shots and you still have hungry people that don't get a dime from you ready to die for you what type of jazz is that? God forbid bad thing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGCvXTISNns |
Even with evidence, this dollar man is still walking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGCvXTISNns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCx7UXpQPF8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sMFQK2bHZA |
and as I keep saying, majority of that road doesn’t even have LANE MARKINGS. just zig zag and chaotic driving What percentage of road from first toll gate to second has lane markings? Ordinary white line that you can probably do with 5-10 million naira Let’s not even talk about street lighting. My own is, where does all the money go? I don’t think people would even have been complaining if they made the road close to perfect, with ultra bright street lights (those ones that make night look like afternoon) and new lane markings every other year to keep them visible. But as always, they just let stuff decay and only do the minimum, like patching potholes, but the money collection, that one will never decay. That road could have been the best road in Africa, with 112 squad cars ready to enforce law and order, thereby even generating more revenue for the road. Proper lanes and lane enforcement, to be an example to Lagosian drivers and even all Nigerian drivers of what law and order could be as pertains to driving. They just let everything decay. Danfo would never use the bus stops created for them and would rather stop on the road, yet ZERO enforcement from police. Then you have those guys collecting money from buses and banging their cars with sticks, real third world like, smh Where does the money go? |
When you stop and realize that... NIGERIA IS STILL DISCUSSING COW IN 2021 ![]() |
Pyhonist:Omo, it’s a different story when it’s -10 degrees outside ooo |
damosky12:You are very intelligent. The last time bubu appeared live and did question and answers was that NTA pre-election program. Since then all you read and hear is “Buhari says”, then a picture or recorded speech. Remember how people used to hound GEJ to visit bokoharam victims? Now that it’s bubu, everywhere is silent. |
needanswer:pretty much rooting for and supporting the best candidates maybe a mass voter education campaign of sorts |
so what is the solution for a better Nigeria? or do we just surrender all hope? |
Meanwhile, police armored vehicle and other reinforcements are still parked at Lekki toll gate, waiting... |
Rugaria:Buhari is beyond tribal and I didn't even realize that until the dude took power. Look at that NNPC thread, where most of the positions were slanted north. We need another national conference in this country, else we'd just keep doing anyhow anyhow |
Rugaria:Yuppers! You already know! I watched a civil war documentary again recently and it just didn't make sense to kill that many people just because you wanted them to be "part of the fold" in Nigeria. If they were to put the blood of all those killed during the civil war in a container of sorts, what type of container would hold it? Maybe multiple petrol type tankers filled with the blood of innocent people. I guess that was the price to be paid to have the British creation Nigeria, remain exactly what it was/is, a British creation. |
9jaRealist:You are right that there was little to no initial correlation, but what the protest did was to highlight injustices Remember that toll gate was initially protested, but the protesters were bullied away to make way for the toll gate. |
I don't understand unity beggars White man came and put chains around your necks, yet you are saying you need the chains. I know the likes of Buhari would love Nigeria, since they get to lord over everyone |
but think about it, what is really wrong in providing lanes and street lights on a road. especially a road that you collect toll on. Ordinary to mark lanes from the first toll gate to the next, they couldn't. Just causing traffic, collecting money, with nothing to show for it. Ordinary lanes you could not even paint, so annoying
|
6digitscomrade:me sef, I no know were dem for put am sha but food section like say 'food is ready' ![]() |
Gabbriell:hahahahahaha ![]() I had to check to verify, oh my days, I can't stop laughing ![]() |
still not up to Fasholas 78 million naira website which no Lagosian in the history of Lagos ever ever used. Abeg, if you used Fasholas 78 million naira website, please raise your hand. Maybe this guy is just taking a "page" from fasholas website play book. |
All this money and they cannot even paint LANES ON THE ROAD As in, ordinary LANES |
sweetsell:So even the children that were starved to death were foolish? Shey you will live forever na |
johnmartus:Buhari shames them by never doing a state of the union address with reporters? Like bad governance won’t affect all Nigerians |
Which one is address Nigerians? As in you want him to come out again with edited video of speech reading? Why can’t he do a live state of the union with reporters? It has been about 2 years since Buhari engaged with reporters. |
The fact that you even used the phrase "HOST COMMUNITIES" You guys will keep saying you don't want to separate, but then keep using terms like host community I have never heard that term in U.S.A, in the United Kingdom, but here we are. Aren't we one Nigeria anymore? Which one is HOST COMMUNITY, please who are you HOSTING? A Nigerian hosting another Nigerian |
bamite:this guy was even happy that soldiers made protesters sleep in muddy water everybody in this country just supporting evil as long as it;s not their tribe |
