SOPRANO:
lol, this just prove my point that most women marry men for "comfort and Financial Gains", like a friend always say, 90% of women has a price-tag.

@ OP

         It's a sad predicament indeed. You indicated that your buddy read sociology, If he's in Lagos, I can make a few calls if he does not mind working for the state govt in Alausa, Ikeja. I'm not promising anything, but some high echelon of the govt owes me a few favor. Things might turn up. All the best.
Dis is help. @OP, U better not pass up on dis offer. Check if dis guy is serious. Dis could be de answer to ur friend's prayer.

Pls, for those asking her to stick to de man. . 'caring' is not a sensible enough reason to marry anyone. We don't know wat made her allow herself to be rushed into marriage- maybe because she felt she was not getting younger or whatever pressure. Now de one she loves has come back, her heart is calling out to him & him her. . . The danger in marrying dis second guy she does not truly love is feeling empty/inadequate anytime she sees her childhood love in future,maybe seeing herself in de place of his wife & so on. And probably regretting why she did not take her time before finalizing. That wil make a huge mockery of de man she calls husband & their marriage. So de earlier she follows her heart & takes time to think de situation through very well, the better for her. @op, if u truly luv ur childhood man, then go ahead. There's no point following sentiments or wat people will say, and in de process lose something valuable, and probably find yourself later regreting ur marriage to de caring man. Better to get it out of ur system. Dis is FOR LIFE. Not some experiment. When u enter, dat's it.

The truth from aunty CC is this;

1. One's first love always makes an impression & very difficult to forget them but you learn to move on and get on with life

2. Very few people end up marrying their first love

3. A man/woman you do not live with always seems like a saint until you start living with him

4. If he was meant to be; he would have put a ring on your finger

5. True love cannot be bought with all the money in the world; so if you have found someone who genuinely loves you i,e the father of your child then stick to him

6. Any greener looking grass on the other side is a photoshopped illusion. Grass on the other side is burnt yellow and patchy

7. Mothers cannot afford to be selfish and it will be selfish of you to just dump your child's father on such a frivolous whim so please think about your child.

8. Last but not least, please get off facebook
@poster, if u are wise, listen to dis advice. . U're no longer a small girl but a woman,a wife & mother. So think and behave like one. Respect yourself and ur loving husband by not behaving foolishly. Cut off every ties wit de so-called ex boyfriend. It will not fetch u anything good. If u can at all help it, for ur own sake & ur loving family-get off facebook. And reject any further contact with him. Talk some sense into yourself. Don't incure the wrath of God by any foolish action. Marriage is serious business, so don't bring shame on yourself.

@veradove, pls marry ur childhood love. Dat kind of love is not de type u find everyday. Dont lose a lifetime of happiness just because of a misunderstanding on ur part. Besides from ur posts, u're only staying with/considering marrying de second guy just for his 'caring' attitude. Pls & pls! dat is not enough reason to marry someone! Don't make a monumental mistake by marrying him. It is NOT too late. When it would hav been is wen u'd gone before God to finalize it. For de traditional, u just showed people ur husband. It is better to be single than marry someone when ur mind & spirit is with another. Pls & pls! Dont employ pity here. For de second guy to have told u to relocate to another place just to take u far from de first guy goes to show he is not a confident man. He should know within himself dat ur heart is wit another man. Wit dat knowledge, i wonder why any self-respecting man wil want to go ahead wit de marriage if not for selfish reasons! Lady, it is not late yet ok? Better to make some much needed adjustments now even though some people might be alarmed FOR A WHILE, than TO LIVE UR WHOLE LIFE REGRETTING.

Look mobo, am not looking 4 ur 'on-net' respect. U dont know me in real life, so pls dont bother. I guess dos dat hav earned it re dos dat lap up everything u dish here.lol. Dont sweat it brother. Wat i'm tellin u is dat decent ladies will continue to be decent ladies even if they have 1 million friends. How many of those do they know? They might just be keeping it at that to make their facebook page more fun, and not de dullness of few friends dat might be boring. Besides it affords them de opportunity to make new friends & connect wit people they might never have met if they were secluded in their small world, and who might be of help in future. U never know wer ur help wil come from. . . But hey, above all, not everyone u see on facebook is interested in ur backside. Not all join looking 4 boyfriend or girlfriend. She owes him no duty whatsoever in helping to salvage the relationship or weed his lustful seeds.He doesn't love her.All he has for her are sympathetic ties,It's like working  a job you don't like but instead of quitting you stay there because the job comes with a free apartment.

What's the use of marrying someone you don't love,sitting across the dinning table looking at your wife and thinking of the house maid in the kitchen.He should apologize to her and let her go.
Well, only him knows if he still loves her or not. And if he doesn't, he should let her go. Regardless of wat she said. He can do it coolly cos it wont be easy 4 her to accept, and also to avoid any wrath. Keeping a relationship out of pity is not advisable. He can only apply my advice if he is still in love wit her.

People dat have no mind or freedom of their own? It'll surprise u dat most of them dont even associate with half of dos 'friends'. And they're very decent girls. It takes only a man wit balls to figure that. And of course real men stil go for wat they want regardless of any seeming intimidation. So zoom! Chicken. Lol!

@paris, am a girl, and i'm telling u dis to help u. Ur girl deserves to know. If she wants to know de reason, sit her down, just between two of u & tell her. Believe me, she'll so much appreciate ur sincerity. No lady likes being made a fool of. She would rather protect her relationship wit u by curtailing her friends' visits than leave her man to such temptation. Pls tell her. She wil help u. Don't be scared. Since she could have left u long ago but chose to remain wit u, dat means she has made up her mind dat u're de only man she wants. So she cannot be mad at u or break up just because u told her ur weakness & asked for her help. I'll bet she'll want to keep u more than she'll want to maintain those friends. Don't keep quiet & regret later.

@Pinky

True no one can teach U about your Husband but Him! But trust me it'll do you a lot of good to make friends with Nigerian girls who have your genuine interest at heart! I know why I say this cuz I speak from experience. I have a close Zimbabwean friend who's seriously dating a Nigerian Man n who helps her with complicated issues arising from cultural difference n all that? Her Nigerian girlfriends! You come here abusing Nigerian women but you seem to forget your "beloved Nigerian man" was brought into this life by a Nigerian woman. You about to get married into a Nigerian family "Yes I said It" maybe in your culture you get married and your extended family doesn't get involved, that's not so with a Nigerian man! You marry him n your marrying his family! With this attitude I see you having problems with your in-laws and trust me your in-laws are the last peeps you wanna have as enemies cuz they'll frustrate the living day light outta of you! You cannot alienate yourself from a man's people n expect to be happy! It might work for a while, but his people are his people! So if you know you wanna have a blissful marriage with this Nigerian man, you had better start adapting to his culture and women(cuz his sisters,mother,cousins,aunts if not all, majority are all Nigerian women)!
May ur days be long. Tell her. I say it again-most of them re just clueless! Playing Lovey dovey wit no wisdom. Probably things de man will disown his family because he's getting married to them. Maybe their eyes will open after they tie the knot. U can insult Nigerian ladies all u want. U will still get to meet them in real life-probably have some of them as ur relatives. And wit dis attitude, i can tell u u'll be put in ur place in no time. All de rants is for de internet. Try insulting one in real life, then come & tell ur story.

Okay, pinky17 don't get too excited. I have lived in Jo'burg and visited several times and have loads of SA friends. The honest truth is that most of the Nigerian guys that date SA/Zim girls are never great guys anyway. Most of those guys are not really the most sought after by Nigerian girls. They settle for SA/Zim girls because they know certain Nigerian girls will not date them and they just settle for less. Now as for Nigerian girls hating on you guys, that is news to me. I remember a Kenyan friend once telling me her Nigerian bf at the time did not like or date Nigerian girls. I chuckled to myself because I knew that guy could not pull any decent Nigerian girl but he was obviously a prince to this Kenyan chic.

I am also curious if these Nigerian guys that are so in love with SA/Zim girls actually live in Nigeria or SA. If they live in SA, then you'll be very silly not to understand the dynamics of demand and supply. How many Nigerian girls are in SA? Infact, how
any decent guys live in SA anyway? You really need to take a chill pil - I doubt Nigerian girls care much bout the very few NAija guys that choose to date SA/Zim girls.
Guess it was very bitter for them to swallow wen i mentioned dat. Truth is, dey re either clueless or prefer to leave de wool over their eyes cos dey re scared to see.
tai2:
@OP

Truth is only Nigerian men can actually cope with the demanding nature of Nigerian women, where the problem lies is when a Nigerian man sees he can get thrice what a Nigerian woman will give him for less than half the effort with some SA or Zim woman.

When Nigerian women see their men moving on to calmer and saner pastures, then they begin to direct their aggression at these women. Ask Nigerian women why within their own country they are so scared of Calabar babes.
guess someone is trying to get comfort. Calabar girls? Am sorry but de wonderful, fine, boxed men u'd die for have dat part erazed from their book.

Too late 2 let her go darlin. You want her spirit to taunt me 4 the rest of my life abi. I've twice drove her away in the past but she kept coming back to me. Wedding is fast approaching and have resigned my faith in marrying her. She claimed she's got a strong spirit and that if I left her I might regret it for the rest of my life. Can't joke around with that! Besides that, she's using the innocence thing as an excuse to want to be with me for the rest of her life. She can't see another man touching her. Just a bit confuse.

If u know u have a weakness where girls are concerned, why dont u tell ur girlfriend to stop her friends coming to ur house & spending de night. Talk to her. Am sure ur behaviour might be causing her shame outside, but she's sticking wit u cos u broke her virginity. Is it a crime 4 her to love u? There are men like u looking 4 de love of a good woman, but u have it wit u, yet u can't appreciate her & give her deserved respect. Wat morals are u going to pass on to ur children? To behave like goats anytime they're close to any girl? U beta tell ur girl ur weakness. harakiri:
This is why i have totally lost faith in marriage and only planning to have a child in 5-8 years time before i hit 40. Women are so freaking unreliable and unstable. It's always about their "feelings" and emotions. When they get bored with the marriage, they will find one thing or the other to blame the man for. If the man is tolerant and doesn't give in, she will manipulate him with continuous nagging and heartache until he is forced to do something that she can hold on to and say "he did this and that to me". Time and tide have shown that the success or failure borders mainly on the woman. Even if the man does all he can, if she isn't on the boat. . .it will crash but the situation isn't the same if it's vice versa.

This link explains why men should not make the mistake of getting too attached to their wives in order to live long and healthy :
