Maybe you should adjust your learning style? Maybe you should change your choice of language? Maybe you should change the type of app you're starting with? Maybe you should focus more on algorithms and not language syntax? Maybe you should use books and not videos?

I really don't know the change that needs to be made; my point is that most times, it's a small adjustment that changes everything. It's like learning French, you will learn but it takes time and constant practice. Programming gives pleasurable frustrations especially when you start working for corporate organizations with crazy deadlines. But nothing compares to the joy of getting a working solution at the end. So I'd say, hang in there!

Meanwhile, I've been programming for more than 10 years but the moment I see any already-made code snippet, I grab it the way those hoodlums grap palliatives in Nigeria! That's the whole idea, bro. I also look up syntaxes and the names of framework classes. This doesn't make you any less of a developer. Anything to buy time.

Lol... it doesn't work that way. Physical look doesn't always equal strength. Regardless of how youngish you you might look, the fact is that you're already going towards the prime of your youthful age and when your mates start declining in terms of strength and other masculine functions, you are likely to do so as well. Reducing your age will only give you an illusion of time. It will make you feel relaxed and do things late thinking you still have time. And when aging happens, it won't respect your looks.

27 is young, no need to falsify your age. Many people came here older than you are and still went ahead to do their degree programs while working part time.

I don't use wordpress but deleting the index file shouldn't stop other pages from loading if you point to them using the correct url. OP, rename of the files to index.php and try again. That file will become your landing page. From there, you can access other files assuming the links are well done. Who did the first index for you? You can do a new index file or copy the index from another wordpress folder of the same theme. Like I said, I'm not into wordpress so ...
