Kriss216:His wife should not nag if the OP is not in control of the situation. True. But this not really the time to talk about making the man happy. Let us be practical. Everything does not revolve around making the man happy and men should known when to leave the spotlight. The only thing that matters now is the set of babies. This is not a matter of being considerate. Did the OP say she spends the money on unnecessary things? What kind of magic would make 25k take care a woman and 3 babies? Have you ever priced babies' stuff in Nigeria? And you're asking her contribution, really? What is the lady taking care of three babies while doing other "wife duties" at home contributing to the family? Are you married? Have you ever taken care of a baby? Sir, please, don't say that. OP and his lady brought this upon themselves. He can't turn his wife into a money doubler and his wife can't turn him into a money tree. However, he must quickly find a way to bring in more money even if it means begging. The wife should also beg her own relatives since she can't work for now. There is no sugarcoating it, 25k is not enough. You won't kill your babies cause you want to make the man happy. |
Trending where? You guys just want to write... |
charlesucheh:You're trying too hard to sound smart. The digestive system of lions is the thesis? So where did you then get that they need a goat per day? Does that even make sense to you? What is the size of the stomach compartment of a lion? Maybe you also need percentages to say a human cannot consume a full goat per day. The problem is that some of you guys in Africa are not receptive to knowledge. You know what, forget I quoted your comment. Enjoy your day. |
That's probably his team updating the page. |
Obviously a mistake. |
chatinent:All this just to shy away from holding your fellow men responsible. You can stretch it as much as you want just to call the dog a bad name but we both know scanty dressing in Nigeria isn't necessarily pants and bra but the likes of bumshorts, sleevless and belly/cleavage exposing tops, etc. These, in other places, are summer wears that help tanning. The point being that the men in these other places don't go around raping women like y'all do in Africa and India. Nobody wears pants and bra walking down the streets except prostitutes and the majority of the rape cases we read everyday aren't against prostitutes; they are against innocent people who are in thier homes or in enclosed places. So look for another reason to blame victims while leaving the real culprits with no words. You guys will be happy when girls start running from men like humans run from wild animals. |
charlesucheh:I don't need to be an expert. Your assertion was wrong and I only corrected that. Google is your friend. |
chatinent:But rapists rape people regardless of thier dressing. They rape babies and even elderly women. There's no excuse for that, not even the women's choice of clothes. This idea of always pointing out the women's dressing each time something is said about rapists is tantamount to blaming the victime (even when such comments are hidden in-betweent two anti-rape statements like yours). We are all humans and we think before executing our actions. So rapists are fully responsible for their actions. They aren't the only men who see the so-called scantily dressed women, yet they decide to rape them as if that's a corrective measure. What you call "scantily dressed" in your region is a mode of dressing in another location and the men there don't go around raping women. Men go around putting on only boxers during the day and women admire them but let them be. We should all learn to exercise such self control as well. When it eventually gets to the point of women dressing to avoid being hunted and raped, then the men around us wouldn't be different from animals. |
charlesucheh:Lol... this isn't exactly true though. Lions don't eat everyday. They either take "small" chunks (less than 10kg) of meat everyday 3 to 4 days or large chunks (50kg) every one week depending on the availability of food source. Farm grown goats can weigh as high as 150kg so that's, at least, one goat in three weeks. In the wild, lions hunt in groups and when the prey is down, each member takes its bite thus making it necessary that they eat every 3 to four days. |
Lol... OP is embarrassed. |
Lol... you people will blame women for everything including the way you fart. |
What of that Achuba lady? |
Hhmm... I don't get it. What exactly is the point here? I'm indifferent about the whole Biafran thing but this post doesn't really make much sense to me. Calling one's self Nigerian, American, etc. is not indentity crisis but calling yourself Biafran is? So the country they are agitating for must be called Igbo before the people can indentity as Igbos? Maybe you should have put the due process part before the whole indentity crisis stuff. |
Realfrankie:Local dishes cost about $10 while foreign dishes cost even more than that. Imagine eating that everyday coupled with the snacks you take at different times of the day. |
The guys should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Nairaland people are all criticizing the gay community as if straight people don't rape the opposite gender everyday. The dude is responsible for his actions, gay or not. |
Maxymilliano:You guys get dirty with everything. |
The message suggests she took the apartment with the promise that there'd be a source of water later. I believe the word "again" is normally used to mean "still" in Nigeria, so she was asking if you were still going to do as you promised... or as your agent might have promised. Why exactly are you asking for tips on how to react? Is it that you don't intend to provide any source of water for your tenants? Do you live there? |
You're a woman in Africa. Nobody will take you seriously. They'll even insult and blame you for bringing it up. The front page says it all. Sorry. |
maureensylvia:Cautioning the dude on the gayish part? Like asking him to stop being gay? Lol... I don't think that would have made any sense. You don't ask people to stop their sexuality. Whether OP is gay or not is not the issue here. The man is a cheat and a wife beater. Even if he was straight, he would still be doing the same thing with ladies. |
Mide3367:Lol... you guys will always find a way to blame the female in all circumstances. |
That's really nice. |
Lol... Nairaland people. |
Rogosa:Lol... I thought you said "copied***". |
kalu61:Why? If really 6 Cedis is equal to 400 Naira and N400 can buy more than three bags of water in Nigeria while 6 Cedis can only buy one in Ghana, then the guy's comment only shows denomination doesn't save any currency, the economy does. And I'd say that was more of an attack on Ghanaians cause it suggests the Ghanaian currency only has paper value. Ghana denominated thier currency in 2007 (i.e. removed four zeros such that 10,000 former Cedis is equal to 1 new Cedis) but if what this guy said is true, then it means that decision did not necessarily change the basket value of the currency as Naira still worths more. Remember, money is whatever money can buy, not digits. If denomination makes any currency superior, Nigeria will only need to remove three zeros to make their Naira superior to dollar. |
babadee1:Yeah, there's a reason the word "take" is in quotes in the post you quoted. You saw were I emphatically said "willing applied", so I know they don't literally take anyone. It's just worth thinking about that the region that needs medical personnel the most is in the business of supplying that to others. |
nograv:I see. Interesting. But whose fault is it that Nigeria does not look like Wakanda? |
Sterope:Hhmm... I see. Can Nigeria offer what it does not have? |
Bluntemperor:I didn't blame anyone, dude. I only asked a question to get people's perspective. |
