Lmao... does this tactics of "they urged me to contest" still work? Surprised it's not an Hausa or Igbo group cause that's the normal format. |
It's sad that the western world gives medical aids to Africa yet "takes" their medical personnel. Who's to blame? The Europeans and Americans that employ skilled people (who willingly applied) to serve their countries or the doctors that leave their home countries after getting trained by their local institutions in search of greener pastures? |
Funny thing is that after all these conspiracy theories, you guys still continue to use the products. Lol |
tnerro1:Maybe you're new on NL. Even if it was Tiwa, Yemi Alade, Ini Edo, etc., they'd still be called names. Provided it's a single lady, she'll be insulted. Teni will only be exempted cause of her boyish nature. |
doxijaw:I can't relate, sorry. I'm only Nigerian cause my parents are originally from there. So if you guys are dumb, delusional, etc., then it makes sense why you couldn't understand my message. There's no aspect of child formation that's not important including basic orientations. Creating distinctions based on stereotypes and making the girl settle for toys that depict weakness while the boys are encouraged to use stuff that gear towards tech, hardwork, etc. doesn't help anyone regardless of the location. This has been the case for long and that's why it's almost a man's thing to study Engineering or even fix appliances at home. California took the right decision and like I said, Nigerians criticizing the move down there in Africa have no clue. You can agree or disagree but don't let lack of good nutrition, poor genetics, poor learning patterns & bad environment make you insult people you don't know online. There's no excuse for that. |
Nice one from California. Your child can buy and use any toy he likes, the keyword being "likes". Nigerians are against this move yet they're the ones that complain the most about their women not being as industrious as the men. It all starts with the indoctrination they get as kids. The idea that a girl needs a pink teddy bear while the boy needs a train, super hero, etc. is already telling the kids "men do the work, girls are taken care of". |
She made so much sense. But Nigerians will never see anything wrong with a man's action. If it was a woman that did what Mr. Churchill did, we wouldn't hear the last of it. Those two kids are his sons regardless of the present situation. Giving his two children the same name is tantamount to invalidating the first child. He is just pitting the kids against each for no reason. No reasonable father would do that regardless of how he feels about the ex. There's no excuse for such an unfatherly act. |
slawormiir:I don't get this your complaint. Isn't this the basic nature of data? How do you expect a streaming platform to work? You subscribe and the movies automatically appear on your device without internet connection? Or you want the other party you're sharing your credentials with to magically have what you downloaded on your own device at his own end? Or you want the downloaded movies to become yours forever? Please, what technical/business model are you proposing? |
Congratulations... If this were a female celebrity: "olosho", "kpekus done suffer", "prostitute", etc. |
And this is the boy complaining his sister was taking the wrong path in life... |
Leaders of tomorrow... lol. |
Top notch superstar? He just released the songs and they are already "hit songs"? Lol... Ok. |
This is so messed up. Women should kick against this. It only makes them properties. |
Bvlgari:Hehe... c'mon, dude. I ain't no doughnut head. Even Lil Poundo sounds better. Lol. |
Lol... funny, dude. Mine would be too long. Lil Maple Bacon Doughnut |
Jessepaid:No even a word of encouragement. It's almost as if you're pro rape. Why not first acknowledge her efforts and stop trying to water it down. Rape is one of the most inhumane thing one could ever do to another. |
Flamemignon1:Lol.. yeah, it's such a classic language. I live in a bilingual region and I'm particularly fond of French grammar. But don't be quick to part with your money, I'm probably a terrible teacher. ![]() |
A doctor can easily save that. An IT person who lives a "low profile" life can. And maybe truck drivers too, those guye are well paid. |
EscapedBlessing:Haha... I'm sure I'll love it nevertheless. I loved the last one and I've always been in the Americas, so I'll love this one. Thanks. |
olamide0147:Lol... Are you new on Nairaland? Once it's a lady, she must be insulted, sexualised or, at best, be relegated to the back. Trust that if this was a guy, you'd see them shouting "enjoy my guy", "money is good", "we will join you", etc. It's almost as if they don't want women to exist outside the bedroom/kitchen. Funny thing is that some women have accepted and internalized this in this 21st century. |
Lol... NL boys. |
Sterope:Not sure we are dealing with the same definition of the word "tribal" here. I meant "aboriginals". |
EscapedBlessing:I see. I'd probably take the one month free subscription Amazon has been begging me to take. Otherwise, I'd have to wait till Netflix gets it (I believe they will since they have the first one). Cinémas are still closed. |
Taking a look at the Nigerians on this thread, I don't really see how Africans are any different from the way the white people perceive them; just a bunch of tribal people. |
EscapedBlessing:Amazon Prime? |
Flamemignon1:Lol... sounds fun. ![]() French has its peculiar way of pronouncing the letter too but it's more forgiving and welcoming to those who can't pronounce it. "Filet mignon" is correct because both the noun (filet) and the adjective (mignon) are masculine. But "flame mignon" is wrong cause the noun (flame) is feminine while the adjective (mignon) is masculine. The correct expression is "flame mignonne". You probably didn't realize the spelling difference cause the pronunciations are similar, but the feminine adjective emphasizes the ending /n/ sound while it's masculine version nasalizes it. I charge just $10 per hour. ![]() |
Mario1989:I think you can grow in a polytechnic as well. The highest degree a learning institution can offer is the doctorate degree (as professorship isn't a degree) and earning a doctorate has nothing to do with where you are teaching. In other words, you mustn't do your doctorate in the school you're teaching. If polytechnics in Nigeria don't do Phd programs, you can be doing that elsewhere while teaching and earning your pay in a polytechnic. When you have your doctorate, most state and even federal universities will gladly accept you. You can then continue you research and publications there if being a professor is your end goal. That's like having a bit of both worlds each coming just when you need it. |
Omezif:Vaccines are not for sick people. They are primarily preventive and not necessarily curative. This excludes therapeutic vaccines, of course. |
