PoliticsRe: We Yoruba Will Not Vote For Peter Obi by Xander85: 11:54am On Jan 07, 2019
Aint't it pathetic that the only thing one can hold on to as a reason to advice his people ( that's if he's really Yoruba) not to vote for a candidate of another ethnic group is a thread on social media!?

Now if we're to go down this route, do you really expect a Igbo to vote for a Yoruba person when we have ACTUAL/LIVE evidence of the wickedness visited on Ndigbo by some Yoruba?

There's the 'brilliant' idea of starving the non-combatants during the war since the actual Biafran soldiers were proving a bit too plucky for comfort; there's the promise to shoot at all moving and non moving objects in Alaigbo during said war; there's recent pronouncements and actions (not by some anonymous individuals on social media who may not even be Igbo as in the OPs instance) deporting Igbos in their own country...drowning Igbos in the lagoon....murdering Igbos; and i could go on and on!

Before trying to remove the speck in someone elses eye, be reminded that there's a whole forest in yours!

For a people that claim to have no interest in Ndigbo, these people take an inordinate amount of time to focus on Igbo issues....normally posting stuff they hope will divide us!

If any 'one Nigeria' Igbo is daft enough not to have realised by now the kind of evil people they're sharing the country with....scum that do not wish them well, then their own case is really irredeemable!
PoliticsRe: Ebonyi Not Part Of Biafra – Umahi by Xander85: 11:40am On Jan 07, 2019
senatordave1:
Allow me to gatecrash.there are several igbo names that doesn't sound igboish and umahi is one of them.ebonyi and several parts of abia are fun of bearing such non-igbotic names.according to history, they were originally not ibos but due years of interacting with igbos became igbos but still retained those non-igbotic names.
Jeez....another one! And the spirited efforts to shrink Alaigbo and cause divisions among us continues apace!

These pathetic individuals never turn their attention to their own ethnic groups to regale us on how they're not and have never been one....but they fall into threads like this in their numbers to claim all sorts of shi't about Ndigbo! shocked

And you got 21 likes (and counting) for this your weak attempt to disparage and divide Igbos!?

My observation about Ebonyi state, they seem different from other SE states ( Politically, ideology).

I have been reading bashing from other states within SE. Can we really have an insight what the fuss is all about?

This is not a tribal question, my past posts speak for me.
You can't assert the bolded with any degree of certainty when a referendum is yet to be held! Since when did governors become the people?

You know if you Igbo haters had minded you business, this vote boycott in the south-east you're desperately praying for may just have been complied with to a large extent! But since we know that it will pain you to the point of madness if the boycott advice (b'cos that's what it is...advice) is ignored, you're likely to see a huge turn out on election day!

It's just a little over $100 million, and they want us to sing and dance about it....not minding that it's coming decades late, and still with no apology! Even the north-east gets assistance more than $1 billion, so what are we saying here?

Watch this video. Okorocha is replicating what he sees in Europe at Owerri but it's gradual as a result of limited funds but slowly and steadily he is getting it done. That's why continuity is needed so that the entire works will add up in no distant time. Apart from Abuja or Lagos I doubt if there's any other Nigerian city with the level of road infrastructure Okorocha is putting up. Tree planting which you emphasize on is a stage which comes after completion of roads, sidewalks, sidearms and landscaping. Okorocha is doing exactly your wish.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IY4DcrAtxc
The expansive new road is a commendable effort, but you need to call the gov't out when failings are noticed so they don't get too drunk with praise!

Looking at the video you made, what sticks out like a sore thumb and ruins the otherwise nice job is the arid nature of the surrounding environment! It doesn't look like a city located in the rain-forest belt of the continent!

Saying the job isn't finished yet is just looking for excuses...it looks finished to me! huh

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Prefer Restructuring, Not 2023 Presidency – Afenifere by Xander85: 1:25pm On Jan 04, 2019
kayjay69:
And brother mind you, restructuring will involve a constitutional amendment. 2/3 of the upper and lower house have to ascent (correct me if I'm wrong constitutional lawyers). Please add up Yoruba, SS and SE members in the National HOA and tell me if that will be possible. Let's even pretend that we achieve this unity of Yoruba, SS and SE political forces you still will need atleast the NC some states (especially those ones that have been victims of Core Northern Oppression) to make this happen. So you see it's really an uphill task given the current political arrangements via parties. I personally would love all Southerners to unite and push for this. Funny thing if you explain to the random guy on the street in the SW what restructuring means, I'm certain he will want it. But we know we don't select our leaders in the real sense of the word. The parties do and the people who influence the parties are the ones that determine the overall outcome. Nigerians don't also like support good candidates in lesser known parties. So it seems we are running a 2 party system which is very bad for our democracy. It is sad bro but I honestly think we collectively being held back by the Northern and Southern Elites. So as it stands, true restructuring is but a dream.
Spot on!

It's the greedy elite (from all zones/regions) that are the main stumbling block! They can't see beyond the present pecuniary gains they're enjoying from the present structure!
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Prefer Restructuring, Not 2023 Presidency – Afenifere by Xander85: 1:20pm On Jan 04, 2019
DerideGull:
I can only support the restructure of Nigeria, a.k.a, shithole if it should follow the infrastructural restructure where Lagos and Abuja must be replicated in the defunct Eastern and Midwestern regions respectively. Anything short of this restructure in economic infrastructure is as foolish as Nigeria.
And this is exactly why it ain't gonna happen anytime soon...that is if those who harbour negative and superiority sentiments against Ndigbo have any say in the matter! And they DO if we're to do this restructuring of a thing the way they craftily advocating for....ie, via the National Assembly and State Assemblies! smiley
