Infidelity and trust is now relative.In some quarters,so long as he/she remain married to the spouse,pay bills and fulfill all matrimonial duties . . .who cares abt what goes on outside while to some trust means for as long as i have not caught him/her . . .all is well.

The rate of infidelity in the society has indeed reached an alarming rate, so much so that it's now seen as a open secret. While I don't have the figures to state who does it more between men and women, I believe, from what goes on around, that men who go into extra marital affairs are more than women who do same.

So it makes me wonder, do we still have men who can boldly say in all truthfulness, that they have been 100% faithful to their marriages? Married women, if you're 100% certain about your husband's fidelity, you completely trust him, please, let's know.

Please this is just a show of worry and concern about our society. Only mature comments are welcome. No insults and/or gender attacks.

A muslim woman can be a leader of an organization whatever its size BUT she is not to be the ruler of the land. There is a distinction. As the head of the organization, her responsibilities differ from those of the ruler of the land.

The attitude of the believer is always if God has legislated something, then it must be right (for He is all-Knowing, All-Wise) and we must do our best to abide by it.

SubhanAllah, this thread is undoubtful misleading. hijab means half veil while Niqab means full veil, it is unislamic to say hijab isn't a sign of iman infact it is hypocrisy, I agree never to judge a book by its cover, women are precious, their body is enticing and charismatic, this is Allah's gift to women.  

A woman who wears  her hijab will not be approach for indecent act, they will even give her prestige by appraising her with alhaja or hajiya, unlike the non hijabi, she will be touched or even drag to indecency. And wouldn't be deter to commit any unislamic taboo, this shows that hijab itself is an obstacle for shaitan. Whereas in a sahih hadith the Prophet said whoever touches a woman who is not his muharram on the day of judgement the skin of that place will be smouch in hell.

Allah's injunction on Hijab


'O Prophet ! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better that they should not be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft forgiving, most Merciful' Quran 33:59


''Tell the believing women to lower their gaze, and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent  (e.g eyes to see road) and to draw their veils all over their juyubihinna (i.e their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) ' Quran 24:31

You just hit the nail on the head there Abuzola.

Lame lame lame excuses. A lot of muslim girls gave same excuse while we were in school. One thing we should be clear about is that you can never compare a sister who wears hijab to the one who doesn't. A hijab wearing sister may have other problems, just like any other human being is characterised by different personal weaknesses. But at least, she (the hijabi) obeys Allah in respect of covering herself. A muslimah who doesn't wear hijab is openly rebellious to Allah, to the Messanger and to the Quran.

Even if the hijab wearing sister has other misdeeds, she will most probably hide it from others and will most probably feel bad and seek repentance from it, which is only human.

And saying the hijab wearing sisters are proud is another heresy and a lame excuse, again. I used to say same, but deep down, I knew I was wrong. The truth is that sisters who don't wear hijab usually feel inferiority complex, envy, anger etc towards their wearing counterparts and then they come to say it's the other way round. I know what I'm saying, I've been there. At times I'd even accuse them that they're too proud to say the tasleem first. How would they when they aren't sure you're a muslim or not with your manner of dressing! How would they if your response is always said under breathe when you're in the midst of nonmuslim friends.


Please let's be mindful of our actions, deeds and even thoughts. And for the hijab wearing sisters too, if there is anywhere we're still found wanting according to the OP, do make adjustments insha Allah.

Salam brother. You just have to resist the temptation. You would have noticed that I kept mute and it is not that I do not know what to say but most times, silence is golden. It is better to keep silent than commit sin trying to argue out issue with someone.

We should also note that in the Christian section, we have Jehovah witness, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Catholic members etc and each of them claiming to be the real christian while the wise ones the TRUTH.

He came with this thread in order to advertise his sect and I dont know where he got the impression that the prophet belonged to a sect (referring to his username) despite the prophet's warning on that.

We should still not be surprised because the Holy prophet (saw) aforesaid all that is happening now. Sects would arise claiming to be following the right way and 73 sects sect would arise in which only would be inhabitant of heaven.  Like I always say, truth is different from falsehood even if you wash, polish it and try to make it look like truth, it would still show that it is falsehood while truth is like oil,

I do not agree with your approach here. This is a forum where we've all come to learn. What the sister said is true, and it won't cost you much to make ammends, afterall we're all reading it even if it's directed at one person. We're muslims please, let's behave like one.

I also don't agree with you that we can pray for a dead unbeliever. While they're alive, fine we can pray for them but anyone who dies in the state of disbelief, a Muslim cannot pray for.

If the partner complains, then there must be a reason for it. Except the person is just being unreasonable, then they can be ignored. otherwise, it's always good to listen and make our partner see reason with us. personally, if I have to travel, I like to be at peace with all the people I'm leaving at home.
