Yes. I've wondered why, several years ago too. And it took me to questioning all religions, faiths. I just wanted to know which is true, which is real. I went to church, read wide and all of it. I just didn't want to accept it from my parents that I had to be a Muslim because they are Muslims and brought us up the islamic way. I wanted to discover the truth myself. For a very long time, I was in this quest, pleading with God to show me the right way. And here I am Alhamdulilah. I am a Muslim because of Allah's love and mercy upon me. |
A friend was complaining bitterly a couple of weeks ago that one poor guy came to ask for her hand in marriage. Could I imagine! She was so upset and pissed off, lamenting "Me! A whole me! with that church rat!" She's living comfortably, beautiful apartment, nice car et al I just wonder what she wants again from a rich guy ![]() |
Hi all, Pls how do you handle a 7 year old who is caught trying out intimacy. with his younger sister? |
meyri:Yeah. I quite agree with this. thanks. |
toba:length/lent? |
mdsocks:Muki, muki, Muki, where are you? We miiiiiisssssssss you out here ![]() |
@Abuzola Good to have you back. Eid mubarak. @topic Some say the six fasts should be consecutive while others say it can be alternated. this gets me confused at times. |
Mrs. Siena:oh God! Chaircover is in trouble! |
If we know the rights of others on us, it'll go a long way in enhancing good manners. |
tanx chaircover. Big2bore:you know most mothers are anxious for their babies to reach those milestones quickly. What i'm really wondering about is that, what if the child isn't put to sit at all at either age 3, 4 or 5 months, will he/she still be able to sit at the appropriate time or lack of practise will cause delay. |
So what's the Islamic way of courtship? |
mukina2:Oh my! Who wouldn't? It's not even the case that I forgot to mention you. But I know you're always here even if you don't send posts, you're always in the corner, aren't you? And I know too that you have enough resilience not to go away because of the haters of Islam who come on here. Am I right or wrong? |
FayeZik:Oh, ok. I understand. We have a lot on our hands as a Muslimah. may Almighty Allah ease the tasks for us and give us bountiful rewards. Eid Mubarak ![]() |
Jazakallah khayran. I've given her the first book sometime ago. I haven't read the others myself. I'll try looking for them. |
Asalam alaykum, The sister is still in Islam but I can say her growth is rather slow. Her husband isn't helping matters at all as he is not really encouraging her, but insha Allah, she'll improve. And so I use this opportunity to plead to you, our men, please and please, encourage your wives to practise Islam the pristine way. Don't discourage a wife who wants to wear the hijab. Don't say she won't blend with your social class or give other such excuses. A husband's discouragement is worse than that of 10 outsiders. Remember, you'll be accountable for your household on the day of reckoning. |
Try to be as calm and organised as the situation could let you. Get a wrapper from the hospital bag you're carrying (the one containing the delivery stuff) and wrap the baby in it. As chaircover said, be very careful with the cord and get into a hospital asap or call a nurse/midwife (not these stupid auxilliary nurses that parade some private hospitals in Nigeria) immediately. So now you tell us, how did it go with your sister? |
toba:Tanx. Hope you're enjoying the break. |
@azharudin good job. |
Hmm, |
I was with my sister-in-law yesterday. She has a 3 month old daughter. Throughout the time we were together, she didn't want the baby to lie down. she said she trying to teach the baby how to sit down and the little girl isn't doing badly in the training. She sits for some seconds and then goes down on her back.( She was on the bed). But there and then, I began to wonder because almost all mothers do this, do we really need to teach babies the act of sitting? What if we don't go all the way to teach them, any adverse effect? Will it make them have trouble sitting or delay the normal time they should be sitting? Answers from experience will be more appreciated. |
The post is just nonsensical. And who told you men aren't happy to have female children? You live in the past, man. |
And where's whoopie to tell us what eventually happened? Did she drop the online guy? |
herbeetheyme:Congratulations on both. I was actually a bit depressed and dissatisfied about some things myself and had thought it was going to be a not-too-good eid day for me, but as Allah would have it, as I set out for the praying ground, my spirit was highly lifted and by the time I got back home, I was really happy. (And it's not that those things that got me depressed had been solved). |
From whatever point we view it, hijab is compulsory on muslim women, clearly stated in the Qur'an. |
mukina2:What's up? Thought we agreed that you won't wear that look again? Eid Mubarak. |
I'm soooooo happy today! For being a Muslim, for witnessing and partaking in Ramadan, for celebrating eid, for coming on nairaland and finding so much love among Muslims, for all of Allah's blessings!!! EID MUBARAK, folks. Love you all. |
Even though what the wife did is very terrible, it is clear from the poster's posts that he leans more towards the girl. Women are sensitive. She might have seen or noticed something to make her react this way to this particular girl. Now let me ask this question poster, has your wife been reacting to other women you're close to this way? |
I do not agree that there could have been someone who was 'sooooo good' before marriage. You only know the true color of people when you begin to live together. it might even be dangerous to think along that line after marriage. You then begin to compare this seemingly very good person with your partner and give yourself unnecessary heart ache. |
na wa o. the world is really coming to an end. See someone coming out here, justifying adultery. so if your wife isn't satisfying you, the next thing is to jump out. You don't even consider other options that may work out for both of you. Selfish man. I seek refuge in God from the likes of you. |
pro01:Right on point. Not all alcoholics are violent. I wouldn't want any but if it is the case that all men are either, then the bottle man is a better choice. An alcoholic can fall out of the habit if he gets the support of a good woman who helps him well. For example, steering him away from his fellow alcoholic friends. But a man who womanises hardly leaves the habit. Even if he wants to leave, the women won't let him be. and before then, you'd be lucky if you don't already have an STD or the man been snatched away from you. So for an alcoholic, we have just the bottle to contend with, but for the womaniser, STDs, voodoo etc etc. |
I found another one yesterday. the name is Penckers School, at Isolo. The school uses the British curriculum and it's Montessori. the environment is ok for kids. Jmakinde, Babs, you guys can check this one. And hey! Am I the only one still searching? No one else is looking this way. |
Jazakumllah khayran. |
