Designer fashion houses push boundaries. They purposely release trashy and ridiculous items just to test their fan loyalty .

They can release a water bottle for 1m just to test their fan loyalty and be sure that people will buy it.
Family › Re: A Lot Of Marriages Now Crashing Within 3 Months by zed7: 8:49am On Nov 03, 2022
Romanoff:
A lot of people don't know what marriage is about.

Societal pressure force people who know next to nothing about marriage to marry.

Some men think it's only to provide, have sex and have a woman to birth and raise kids that marriage is all about.

Many women get married just to be Mrs. No preparation for the journey ahead.

I remember before I got married, I attended marriage seminar, read books, listened to messages from seasoned counsellors like Bimbo Odukoya, marriage counsellors from my church and pastors whose marriages I admire.

These days, how many young people will even read books about marriage and it's preparation or listen to messages or go to seminars for intending couples?
I didn't go for counselling, didn't read any books and didn't even wed in a church. Been married 10 years now and I can't remember having issues with my wife. Never reported each other to anybody. We don't even raise our voices on each other. My sister went for marriage counselling, church programmes, wed in the church and yet, I keep settling issues.

I guess I'm lucky or maybe not. What I did was to carefully screen my partner and go for personality instead of just appearance alone. Yes, my wife is good looking but good looking isn't enough.

Anyway, my submission is that a successful marriage is between two people who click. All the counselling and prayers wouldn't do much if both parties don't know what they want and don't click.

Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu Says It's Disrespectful To Mention Funke Akindele's Name Around Him by zed7: 8:38am On Nov 03, 2022
I don't like this man as a future president but I like this statement. Funke is a neophyte and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence with a political maestro.

Tinubu still wouldn't be our president though. I sincerely hope and pray not. Enough is enough.
Travel › Re: Japa Story: The Cost Of Relocating To The UK With Family by zed7: 7:25pm On Nov 02, 2022
I always tell people that japa is not for the poor. It's the middle class that can actually afford to relocate. Right now it's all about herd mentality. Many are like a bull going to the slaughter house. No concrete plan.

I actually wish them goodluck. They will sweat and grind for every penny. Nothing is given freely.

Whilst I know the country failed them, I also know that this is second slavery. The West don't need guns and mirrors anymore, they just need to dangle visas and tweak their policies a little and our best hands will run and go slaving for them, whilst their citizens idle away and enjoy the fruit of our peoples hardwork. Just like the days of old.

The West got this advanced with the sweat of Africans and other less developed nations. They're still doing same till date. It's pathetic.
Family › Re: Why Do Africans Prefer Suffering Or Putting Themselves In Difficult Situations? by zed7: 7:16pm On Nov 02, 2022
It's quite funny though, the way some people brag with suffering. I've heard people brag about how they refuse to take annual leave. They believe rest is for the weak.

Some brag about how far they trek daily etc. We have been so used to suffering right from birth that 24 hour power is something to be excited about.

Until you actually visit a developed country you'll never know how stressful and pathetic living in Africa is.

As for the birthing of kids anyhow, that one is unexplainable.
Romance › Re: "I Bless The Day We Met": 25-yr-old Man Shows Off His Older Girlfriend Who's 32 by zed7: 2:10pm On Nov 01, 2022
Age really doesn't matter if you meet a woman who believes in submitting to her man.
You can go and pick a girl you're 20 years older than whom wouldn't show you respect. Those with rotten home training.
Romance › Re: "Your Juju Too Strong": Reactions As Nigerian Man Show Off His Oyinbo Girlfriend by zed7: 2:08pm On Nov 01, 2022
Oyinbos know what true love is. The only problem with them is that their love can turn to hate in a twinkle.

Nice looking girl he has there, unlike some old white hags our men are knowing for dating or marrying.
Romance › Re: He Wants To Dissolve His Eight Years Old Marriage On The Ground Of Adultary. by zed7: 2:03pm On Nov 01, 2022
A cheating partner, can end up killing you. Even the bible grants divorce on the grounds of adultery. We've seen lots of GO's divorcing their wives these days, not even due to adultery but other reasons.

You only live once and deserve to be happy. To hell with your GO's feelings.

Romance › Re: To The Hardworking Ladies Out There by zed7: 7:41pm On Oct 30, 2022
Why do women keep celebrating paying their bills? It baffles me o. They have a brain, two hands and two legs just like men. So what's the big deal in working to pay your bills?

I have female colleagues and bosses doing quite well and paying their bills. Why exactly do some women look for men to pay their bills? The world has changed and both sexes now have equal opportunities.

Abroad will destroy you if you don't have a very strong foundation. Know the woman you take abroad.
People over there have little moral values and if you or your spouse don't have values also, goodbye.
As for your case, your woman seems very naive and naive women usually end up being used and dumped. Be warned.

Romance › Re: Thing I Know At 31 That Would Have Changed My Life At 21: by zed7:
My own message is for young men, never commit if you aren't ready for marriage. Hang out, have fun and generally get to know women without any strings attached. You don't need that drama, what you need is focus.

When you want to eventually get married, look very well before you decide to date. Dating is for marriage. Without the prospect of marriage, dating is a waste of time for young men.

Focus, focus and focus on your future. You don't need that drama and fake love at that point in your life.

Luckily for me, I practiced this same theory many years ago without the Internet to learn from or all the YouTube coaching videos. I'm a much better man today.

I wish Tinubu and Atiku spent their energy and time sponsoring a young and smart candidate, they would have been much happier and fulfilled.

Family › Re: My Wife Chatt With Her Ex Boyfriend by zed7: 5:41am On Oct 29, 2022
My observations. Your wife and her ex are both low value people from their conversations.
You went and married an obvious street girl. That also shows the kind of person you are.
In conclusion, I believe you know what you were getting into. Nairaland is not your family. Take this case to your family to advise you accordingly.
Family › Re: My 16 Year Old Live-in Maid Is Pregnant For A 20 Year Old Boy by zed7:
When you have an 'adult' or teenager under your roof, anything can happen. It can even happen to the best trained biological child. I have learnt how to stop judging. I could have gotten girls pregnant also but I was just lucky. My parents talked and also raised me well but as a young man, we still went ahead and took stupid risks.

If my sons do ever get a girl pregnant before time (I pray not), I will have to force them to take responsibility. Everyone should be responsible for his or her actions.

In your case, track down the boy and force him to take responsibility, if the family refuses, please sue for rape. He raped a minor. You cannot come and derail someone's life and then go about enjoying yours.

Lol. Interesting conversations going on here. People are scared to address the elephant in the room.

Whilst the OP seems to be suffering from inferiority complex, he has thrown open a challenge. Which African country is currently developed without any European influence?

People aren't answering that question. Black is beautiful, we know. Black pride is great, but what exactly is our problem? We have the weather, natural resources, human intellect, yet we're so far behind.
Romance › Re: Why Do Men Fall Asleep Immediately After Having Sex by zed7: 1:24pm On Oct 25, 2022
Sex is relaxing and helps people get better sleep. It's not just men who sleep immediately after sex, women do too.

Women should know that men will cuddle and do anything a woman wants before sex. Immediately after sex, every other thing becomes less important. That's why a woman must collect that cheque or get that contract signed before the sex, otherwise the story go change.

UAE don see us finish. Nigerians are like lepers now. Everyone is using us to catch cruise.

I fear for the thousands of people currently in the UK. I strongly suspect they are cooking up a policy to send people back home enmass in a few years after using us to boost their economy.

Our stupid leaders and fraudulent citizens put us in this situation.

Honestly I'll soon deactivate all my social media accounts. Everything na cruise now. I see some videos where people are trying to prank others and go about it so annoyingly. Someday, one of these prankster will take it too far and lose their life. Everyone wants fame now without the talent.

Too many rubbish happening online. I can only imagine the level of rot we will degenerate to in a few years time
Romance › Re: Don't Know What To Feel About My Boyfriend by zed7:
People can't always be like us. The first mistake in relationships or life in general is expecting other people to be like us.

You showed eagerness and planned for his arrival. I even thought he didn't give you his address, he did but he isn't showing the same level of eagerness. Learn to understand people and deal with them accordingly, that's the secret to a happy life.

Go and visit. Google map is pretty straightforward, irrespective of the State or Country. I think your expectations are quite high. Take things easy from here on and see how things go.

You'll get married soon. From the way you write, you seem like a girl from a good home, youre not toxic. Great upbringing, that's what men like.
Men only use these toxic, fake eyelashes, nails and hair women for sex only. They know where to go when they want to settle down
Christianity Etc › Re: Apostle Suleman Slams Police For Killing Suspect On The Spot by zed7: 4:02pm On Oct 22, 2022
Funny how the apostle lost 3 policemen, men that are being paid with the taxpayers money.
One would have expected him to command the host of angels to come and rescue him.
When pastors need money and security, they turn to men. When poor men need money and security, pastors advice them to go to God.
Romance › Re: 30+ Men How Do You People Kill Boredom? by zed7: 3:59pm On Oct 22, 2022
Truth be told, it's the need for kids and companionship that forces men into marriage, not sex or food.
You are getting to the stage where you need to settle down. I've been there also and I sometimes imagine my life as a single man. It would have been boring as hell.
My man, gradually start looking for a good woman. It's pretty lonely for a matured man. Girls will flock around but you'll just be bored of them.
Romance › Re: Should I Continue With This Conversation by zed7: 2:07pm On Oct 20, 2022
Women have too many men hitting their DMs daily, that's why they give short reply. They are bored of the attention and the simping.

Most men are pathetic the way they run after women. A woman will respect you more when you know how to withdraw attention. It doesn't also help that most guys are boring.

I hope you know it's the middle class and rich that are travelling out?

The poor can't even afford transport to the airport. The truth is most people travelling are not travelling just because of the economy, they are going because it's the new trend.

There was also once massive relocation in the 80's where everyone wanted to relocate. If you're old enough you'll know the Andrew commercial on TV then.

Like I said, most of those travelling out already have decent jobs and are able to even pay cash for very expensive schools abroad, something citizens of those nations even take loans to pay for and spend all their life trying to repay.

Forget the japa movement, Nigerians have always been follow follow. Start one trend and everyone jumps on it.
