I see that a lot of people take pride in addressing or introducing themselves using their job titles, for example like Pharmacist John, Nurse Grace, Builder Idris, Architect Biodun, Barrister Okoye etc, instead of just Mr. X or Mrs. Y. The most annoying is the ubiquitous title Engr. used by every tom, dick and harry who knows just a little about a certain technical vocation.

When I compare this to what obtains abroad (Europe and America) I notice that the only common job titles in use over there are Dr. and Prof. I've seen a full American professor address himself simply as Dr. (something that will never happen in Nigeria). And they are supposed to have more technical know-how than us, right? Yet they don't flaunt their job titles. So why is our own different?

I think the appropriate heading should be professional title and not job title

You are getting this totally wrong, Tinubu as a political leader has a lot of followers and party loyalist. He is also free to endorse anyone he wishes. It is left for anyone to vote who he wishes. Even within the APC in the last primaries, Ambode contested too and was voted out. It is not everyone that voted for Sanwo-Olu then. Even if Sanwo-Olu wins primaries, people are free to vote for their candidates.

You are most likely a Yoruba Muslim. They have tolerance unlike their northern counterpart. Conversion from Islam to especially Christianity is punishable by death there. One of the major reasons Yoruba Muslims are not considered real Muslims by them is the way they mingle with christians here

The earlier Wike stop assuming himself the owner of PDP the better for him. This issue the deputy governor raised was purely under the purview of the PDP national leadership to address. I am beginning to have a lot of respect for Wike. To be fair to him he has been one of the most consistent and courageous governors from PDP. While others were romancing Buhari he stood firm in opposition even at the risk of losing elections. Its obvious he is a principled man unlike most of those other governors who are only interested in their belly. 7years after Jonathan left office he is still on his side. Not once has he betrayed Jonathan or PDP even when under pressure. Principled men like him are what Nigeria needs, not those LIARS and PROPAGANDISTS.
