@Chidi:, What's your problem anytime Mikel's name is being mentioned? Is he the one paying your internet bill or what?? You're getting crazy and u don't just know that. Don't I have right to my opinion again. Anuofia

@purestboy,
mikel is a progressive and i love progressives and i encourage those in the race to be progressive.
what i notice here is that envious fools have taken over this forum to display their frustrations.
look at the other fool(12large) and see him crying over spilt milk and then go through his opinion in other threads and appreciate the fact that envy is at work.
as long as u have this hatred for guys that are doing well, u will never do well. it is a natural law.
if mikel no play, will ur mama take his place? and u know the answer.

and so the guy should go abeg, he hasnt showed quality in the green jersey lately

Thank God because He's A Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish, Now We Have Hope of Beating Argentina

@Marhoski/PurestBoy,
at least ur father or mother will have opportunity now to show nigerians their qualities.
u are an abnormal goat.
i expect to see more of ur type who come to celebrate in the sorrow of mikel and well meaning nigerians.
it is nice to know that the departure of mikel now exposes nigerian super eagles to the best chances of winning the trophy.

Most professional footballers are quite passionate about representing their countries at the WC2010. Even the aspiring ones talk about flying the flag if given the chance. Do you think he'd gladly give up his role knowing he could manage the injury?

@clt123,
may God forgive u.
remember, what u plant is what u reap. on ur day of pain, u will definitely meet ppl with the same opinion like u have displayed here.

@topic,
God knows the best and i share in the pains of mikel. getting to south africa and not playing in the game. easy brother.
Politics / Re: 3 G - Goodluck For Good Governance! by chidichris(m): 11:15am On Jun 05, 2010
A non-political organization, known as Goodluck for Good Governance (3G), comprising mainly of youths from Northern extraction, spread across the three geo-political zones in the North have backed calls for President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2011 presidential elections.

The group said one year would not be enough for the completion of the projects which will transform the lives of the downtrodden in the country, hence the need for president Jonathan to continue beyond 2011.

Speaking with journalist in Kano, the chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Kabiru Wada Kura, promised that the group would mobilise support for Jonathan in the forthcoming general elections, saying they are satisfied with his display of leadership qualities, particularly in the energy sector which has led to a boost in power supply in the country.

Kura argued that his group, with the motto: “Vision 2011 Goodluck Nigeria, ” is championing the campaign for Jonathan to contest the presidential elections in 2011 to enable him execute laudable human-oriented programmes he has introduced.

@poster,
i don't see 3 G as been enough so u can make it 10 G or more.
remember, obasanjo had 8 uninterupted years and told us it was not enough hence the need for third term. jonathan can make his claims with what he will do in the one year but if it is the case of not been enough, no number of years can be enough for a nigerian politician.
for now, jonathan is playing the role as scripted by obasanjo. all obasanjo boys are back and imposed on us as usual without minding the constitution of the federal repiublic of nigeria.
the truth of the matter is that nairalanders believe obj is the best president of nigeria and on that platform, no one is expecting anyone to be better than the best.
Politics / Re: Sharia Okays Yerima Marriage To Baby Wife by chidichris(m): 11:06am On Jun 05, 2010
i don't think this is about yarima or islam. it is just about the pdp and their handling of the nigerian constitution.
our problem is that pdp has no respect for the constitution of the federal republic of nigeria and everyother person will like to ignore the law because pdp has made it to be useless.
nigeria has more than 20 million yarimas.
his fellow senators are patronising on daily basis our prostitutes and we all know how lucrative it has become to be a prositute in abuja.
Politics / Re: Ohakim(ochikanwata) Ruling Like A Kid) Is The Most Dubious Governor In Nigeria by chidichris(m): 10:38am On Jun 05, 2010
the situation in imo got out of hands immediately ohakim joined pdp.
the man has looted the state so dry that an additional looting arrangements of selling job opportunities that never exist at N2,000 per form.
but because he has joined the looting wagon of nigeria(pdp) efcc or tcff or whatever cannot do anything to him.
after all, achike udenwa never faced efcc rather he was made a minister so ohakim stands a chance of becoming a minister in the nearest future.

Sports / Re: Kanu Nwankwo Tremendous Overrated by chidichris(m): 9:30am On Jun 05, 2010
@12large,
as useless as kanu is, he is still better than anything ur generation can produce, then what name do u think will be suitable for u and ur lineage.
if a useless person is better than u, it means a new dictionary has to come up with a new name for u and ur ungodly generation.
u have allowed ur frutrated life to take over u.
kanu as we speak have shaked the hands of almost all the important personalities of this life and that is because of what he does with the same two legs that have served u no good.
kanu is known by almost every nigerian not because of his height but because of soccer. kanu has played in great teams not because of bribe but because of his abilities. kanu has won relevant trophies in his carrier yet u call him over-rated.
it is a shame that nairaland has turned to be a plave for negative thinkers and mentally derailed embeciles like urself.
as long as u have this good for nothing frustrations as ur guide, u will never go beyond where u are.
Sports / Re: No Creative Players In West Africa? by chidichris(m): 9:19am On Jun 05, 2010
davidif it does not matter where you play for but how good are you. i have seen ekpo dribble 6 players at a time in a game, i don't watch him anymore but that guy use to be skilfull as hell. afterall a useless player like john obi mikel have played for chelsea out of his four seasons in chelsea 3 of them the guy did not have 1 shot on target or goal
jarus please stay with those useless ghianian midgets at ghanaweb.com

look at the idiot comparing finidi to becham, what kind of insult is that, that is typical nigeria mentality very low.

@12large,
ur problem is that your body is willing but ur soul is weak. u like football but u lack information.
mikel has scored 2 goals in chelsea.
u always insult ppl here because u do not have any relevant information to pass.
creativity is neither ball juggling nor dribbling 32 players at a go but creativity is always about having objectives while u are with the ball.
making out things out of nothing situations.
jj at the begining of his carrier was a great dribbler but enjoyed more time on the bench and if there is anyone arround here who followed the eagles in us94, he will bear me witness.
okocha was capable of dribbling the whole team and at the end of the day, looses the ball to the oponents who will punish his team without delays.
it was at the middle and ending of okocha's carrier that he becomes ambitious that his usual 20ft above the bars came down to form goals and his passes became killer insticts with lesser entertainments.
history in soccer depends mainly on who win at the end of the day and not who plays the leather round the picth in ball possession.
ur campeign for stanley okoro and his likes will soon become realistic and we will be here to watch them so no need rushing them into the team.
the era of dribbling from post to post is gone and soccer is a team work hence 11 aside.
Sports / Re: Nigerian Officials Denied Visas To South Africa by chidichris(m): 9:00am On Jun 05, 2010
the truth is that these so-called leadership class know too well that they have converted nigeria to a hell on earth and are always looking for the slightest reason to run out of the country to enjoy their loots.
south african embassy is aware of how uncomfortable nigeria is to live in so allowing those guys into the pleasures of south africa will be one big favour hence they did well in denying them that favour.

@12large,
u are very very uninformed.
u do not know what it means to be in south africa as a nigerian.
Politics / Re: Would Goodluck Jonathan Win A Free & Fair Election? by chidichris(m): 9:59pm On Jun 04, 2010
a free and fair election u said? i think a free and fair election in nigeria will take the events of the last 11 years into consideration.
looking back from 1999 till date, i doubt that any right thinking nigerian will vote pdp in any election.
jonathan will not only fail, but he will fail woefully.
Politics / Re: Ibori Rejects Verdict by chidichris(m): 3:12pm On Jun 04, 2010
it does not matter how u all are celebrating whatever here, what comes to mind is and shld be; how many of these our stealing politicians are serving or have served jail terms in uk?
as long as anyone has money, he will be welcomed to uk and that is.
it is still this same much talked about uk that told nigerians that alams dressed like a woman and left uk so what is the possibility that no woman dress will fit ibori if he finally goes there?
we must learn from our past.

Politics / Re: Israel Inciting Violence In Nigeria? by chidichris(m): 10:05am On Jun 04, 2010
People are so basic; 'terrorism' and 'Islam' are now synonymous? Israel commits acts of terror all the time and they claim their state religion is Judaism; anyone remember them bombing Beirut's airport? I do; classic act of terrorism.

As for the person that called those Christians backing Israel 'silly' fundamentalists: you're right but never underestimate a fundamentalist. Regardless of their religious teachings, a fundamentalist is dangerous because you are fighting against something they will give their lives for: their faith; attack their actions but never their beliefs.

One thing I've never been able to understand is why Christians are so quick to defend Jews. Is it because the Bible calls them 'God's chosen' people? If that's so, you're being led by the nose because, if you're a Christian, you'd understand that statement doesn't apply to them but to YOU. Israel isn't a place but a people; you've been bamboozled into supporting a place that didn't exist until the 1940s.

@Travelista,
u are a very wise woman and i am sure u have been moved by this silly words of the iranian ambassadore hence the need for the second nigerian suicide bomber.
it is really unfortuante that a nigerian will look unto an iranian as a source of encouragement.
whatever happened to freedom of speach in his country (iran)?
i hope to hear that u are in the next kano riot as u show ur support for iranian president or ambassadore.
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Condemns Gays by chidichris(m): 9:43am On Jun 04, 2010

I agree with him 100% on this sole issue.

@Ezeuche,
why 100% the era of 100% is gone so try 500% or 1000%.
what % did u support obasanjo when he slept with his daughter inlaw?
i know it must be atleast 300%.
u can't be cleaning someone's else eyes when he the cleaner has dirty in his own eyes.
morally dead and decayed men like obasanjo has no business in the moral dealings of others because no one gives what he does not have.

nigerians and nairalanders are good at celebrating failures.
paying unemployed graduates? zebrudayah (actor) will say, impooooooooooo , impossible.

electricity! electricity!! electricity!!!
pdp, senate, jonathan etc.
nigerians want just one thing at the moment - electricity.

stop decieving nigerians and urself.
give us electricity and after that we can talk about other things.

it is always one thing at a time.
what ever happened to all the proposals of obasanjo 1999 till date? what about the 7 point agenda of yesterday?

these fools lie to get power and they are lying to remain on power.

as 2011 elections approach, new and silly projects are coming up that will serve as good reasons for the same criminals to remain in power and the above is one of those dumb promises of the criminals.

God will surely visit u and ur generations with the same wickedness with which u all have treated nigerians.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel Fires On Unarmed Aid Convoy. Many Dead! by chidichris(m): 10:00am On Jun 02, 2010
@beaf,
with kind of interest u are showing on this matter, i expect u to be more informed than u are.
everybody is condeming isreal over their action, yes but the big question is, will isreal strike again tomorrow? and the answer is yes.
these same people who are condeming isreal today were the same people who told palestine to recognize isreal's existance and right to live which they (paletine) rejected .
there is nothing wrong in self defence and that is what isreal is doing on daily basis because enemies are what they have all over.
the solution is that palestine recognize isreal and both countries co-habit peacefully over-looking the instructions and directives of iran and syria.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel Fires On Unarmed Aid Convoy. Many Dead! by chidichris(m): 9:06am On May 31, 2010
when odi community was attacked and killed, no many of us commented or condemed that action but it is great to see how many of us iranian president's wanna bes are calling for isreal to be wiped out of the map.
assuming we have agreed on this call, who will bell the cat? maybe nigeria?
i laugh over someone calling on international communities to intervene. how many times have international communities intervened in the palistan/isreali problems and what are the outcomes?
it is important we apoproach this matter from the root. a man whose house is sourounded by enemies is always on the lookout.
palestan(hamas) has been asked on several occassions to recognise isreal and their right to exist which they unconditionally rejected.
if isreal has no right to exist, then palestan will not have to peace of mind.
i hope the parties involved are not as surprised as uninformed nigerians.

Celebrities / Re: Genevieve Nnaji Clinches Mega Deal by chidichris(m): 10:48am On May 30, 2010
babybootz you are joking right. genevieve is a renonwed classy love-peddler, the girl had a kid at young age, then parenths dump her, she became a hooker, most likely slept with a producer got a good contract and started acting. she have had intimacy with people like atiku abubakar,kanu, dbanj and the rest. she is your typical nigerian girls "unofficial ashewo" the would only have intimacy with you for money, but the would not do it officially.

genevieve have talent tho no douth

@12large,
u don't need all these display of frustrations here because u are not the only frustrated nigerian on nairaland.
if we are all as dumb as u are, u will even go ahead and tell us that u have access to such names as atiku, kanu and d'banj through whom u got ur information.
no matter how bitter u sound here, the will of God and the favour of God is upon Genevive and there is practically nothing u can do about that.
if genevive who is known for what she does is ashaewo like u claim, what is ur mother and sisters?

I'm really struggling to see what others see in this chick. She's not cute and her acting is laughable. I just don't get it but good for her regarding this endorsement.

@Travelista,

I definately agree with all what u said. i'm also 'strgglin' to see what other pipu saw in that gurl.

in terms of beauty, millions of pipu in the movie industry are far more beautiful than her.

in terms of acting, 'ZERO'. can u believe she's 1 of the gurls that made me to stop watching home video 4 15yrs now?

some say she's cute . . . well, monkey and obasanjo go beauty contest, when monkey see obasanjo, him (monkey) get

hope to win the award b'cos him (monkey) say him fine pass obasanjo. so if they say genneviv is cute, that means to

compare to ugly cutties and not to the the lykes omotola, rita domnic, ini edo etc . . . (doz ones na fire)

she's just lucky that god said it's her time and not by merrit, afterall she ain't gat enough fans to surport 4 d sales of

the product. I wish her well dough b'cos who God remembers, no stoping of him/her so it's her time, big-up to u gennie!

@travelista/Ranoscky,
stop struggling because no matter how u struggle, as long as u are in a certain position in life, u cannot see what others are seeing.
biblically, it is writen, some are born blind. like the gods of our forefathers, some of us will have eyes but they cannot see, some will have ears but they cannot hear, some with nose but cannot percieve.
trace the history of most great men and women of this world, u will begin to appreciate the fact that IT IS NOT BY LABOUR BUT BY FAVOUR.
in the bible it is writen, i will have mercy for whom i will have mercy.
have u ever asked urself, why was micheal jackson so special? why is obama who he is? why is pope benedict the pope? how did goodluck jonathan become the president?
okonjo iweala, dora akunyili, hilary clinton, magreth thacther etc are all great women and there is nothing too special about any hence genevive nnaji has been choosen.
in times like this, ppl are expected to thank god for the lives of the favoured and pray for their own time.
as tuface idibia will say, WHO GOD HAS BLESSED, NO ONE CAN COURSE.

if u are not below 15, i think u need brain surgery because u are below the reasoning abilities of mr.ibu in movies.
do u know what it means to be talented?

thats what he looked like at Mike's wedding. GOSH!
does nollywood really not pay their actors well?
bush man.

@The Amaka. YOU SEE PEOPLE GET LUST IN THE MOVIE INDUSTRY SUCH THAT THEY INCOPORATE THE LIFE STYLE OF THIER ROLE IN FILMS IN THEIR PERSONAL LIVES. His hair is not even combed

@amaka/kenas,
whatever occassion he appeared like that was a kind of massage. he was there to bring nollywood to the ppl of the area and not because he does not have comb or better things to wear. mr.Ibu makes his living via entertainment and if he is my father, i will be proud than having criminal fathers like most of us here.
in nigeria, ppl who earn their livings through legal means are most times objects of ma=ockery while we worship these thieving politicians.
i would rather have Mr. Ibu as a father than having bode george as my father.
not minding his movie roles, mr.ibu is more respctable than obasanjo in the real sense of it.
most of our respected men of class are nothing but celebrated criminals who cannot make life out of clean businesses.
Celebrities / Re: Jim Iyke Arrested In Benin For Abandoning A Movie Set by chidichris(m): 8:20am On May 30, 2010
maybe because of hardship, majority of nigerians can never think straight.
many of us have never had the opportunity to meet jim iyke one on one but ask them anything about him and they will tell u how he behaves when he is in the toilet and in the kitchen.
for god's sake, what they are doing is professional and all contracts are documented and i don't see beating and slapping as part of any contract.
most of all these rumours emanate from local beer palours.
if propare investigation is conducted in relation to this beating incidence, u will end up knowing that on the day and time of the inccident in benin, jim iyke was in lagos and maybe in a public place.
on this nairaland and nigeria as a whole, we celebrate ppl's failures and go dumb whenever we hear their good news.
if anyone doubts what i v just said now, take a trip round this forum or other forums and see the kind of news that enjoys more petronage and u will believe me with ease.
the history of nollywood success will be incomplete without ppl like jim iyke. he has been outstanding in his roles. one can easily say u don't like his acting style but his personal life at all times must be seperated from his business.
