Religion / Re: Why Do Some Men Hate Going To Church? by Rottweiler(m): 11:41pm On Jul 16, 2007
May God forgive me. I have not been to church since the beginning of 2007. Even 2006 was no different. I hate going to church because these days, a lot of church goers are hypocrites. Their christianity end inside the church. For some, since they can not go to clubs where they meet members of the opposite sex, it is another avenue to socialise with brother, sister thing as disguise. There used to be this guy who, obviously was about 3 or 4 years younger than me, was always hanging around my wife running errands. She would tell me that he was a nice guy and he would address my wife as sister Y. One day, he came around when my wife had gone out and I gave him a piece of my mind. I told him to stop hanging around my wife otherwise I was going to do something terrible to him. I let him know that I knew his game plan. That did the magic! I have not set my eyes on him since last year. grin

@Babalawo
mo wa be be,
Once you go clubbing alone, it's just a matter of time before you find a girlfriend, EXCEPT YOU DON'T INDULGE IN ALCOHOL. One day you will get very drunk and you wake up in a hotel, wondering how you got there, BEWARE!
babalawo mo wa be be, alu bere, Take care.
Romance / Re: Clubbing After Marriage by Rottweiler(m): 3:59pm On Jul 13, 2007
Human behaviour is not MATHEMATICS! Some people don't go clubbing at all but change after marriage.
Just ensure that the basic human qualities are there before you marry the guy. He should be God-fearing; respects you; cherishes you;
Politics / Re: MEND, NDVF, And The Rest Of Them Are Mere Criminals by Rottweiler(m): 12:11pm On Jul 08, 2007
I laughed when I read some of the post by nairalanders based outside the Niger Delta and outside the country. I don’t think some of them have step foot in the south south in the last 7yrs. They are terrorizing the oil workers and now most of them have already made arrangements to relocate a large chunk of their work force outside the state. Who is going to feel the pinch? Businesses in Rivers state. A similar thing happened in Warri some years ago. When SHELL relocated most of it’s workforce to Port Harcourt, a lot of business folded up in Warri. Night life died completely! At a point the indigenes were begging SHELL to come back. The same is repeating itself in Rivers State.
I can speak about the hotbed of the niger delta (Rivers State) because I live there.
Do you know where the problems of Rivers state lie? CULTISM!!! Cultism thrives in Rivers state the way departmental associations thrive on campuses! Ask anyone who lives in Port Harcourt. Different cult groups exist all over Port Harcourt and their quest for superiority leads them in search of deadly weapons. How do they get the weapons? They have to buy. Where does the money come from? That is the big question! It could be from robbing of banks, individuals, corporate organisations, ransom from kidnappings, contractual killings, bunkering (not as easy as before), etc.
About two weeks ago, a cult group from Ogbakiri terrorised the whole of Diobu and part of Old GRA for several hours when they came to avenge the death of one of their members. Just imagine a gang taking control of an area as large as Diobu where there exist not less than 3 police stations! When they were done with their mission, more than 20 people were killed in different areas. Only last night, at about midnight, there was sporadic shooting in front of my compound for about 30 minutes! We had to go flat on the floor of our rooms for safety sake. The state is gradually drifting to a state of anarchy! We woke up in morning and none of the inhabitants of the area seem to know what transpired. Scenes like this keep repeating itself in different locations.
It's a pity, the present guys claiming to be fighting for the Niger Delta are all criminals hiding under a popular cloak. Where were they when the late Ken Saro Wiwa was championing the course of the Niger Delta during Abacha's military regime? We see some of the self-proclaimed militants driving jeeps all over Port Harcourt. Even Asari cruises around in a Hummer Jeep. They are making noise for the sake of their pockets. A lot of them are self-centered. There is a case of one big traditional ruler in rivers state in whose palace there exist more then 4 bore holes! Unbelievable? He insist that any oil company that wants to install a water borehole project should do it in his palace.
Politics / Re: MEND, NDVF, And The Rest Of Them Are Mere Criminals by Rottweiler(m): 10:14am On Jul 07, 2007
Rivers state is worst hit. Night life is beginning to dwindle. Those who still go clubbing do so at their own risks. If you are so unfortunate to have a flat tyre and you happen to stop, the chances of getting robbed is about 95%. In a single night 3 of my colleagues got robbed by gun-wielding men in different parts of Port Harcourt. There's no safe zone at all. Diobu, GRA, Elelenwo, Borokiri, D-Line, Elekahia, Woji, Eastern bye-pass, East West road, just name it.
Politics / Re: MEND, NDVF, And The Rest Of Them Are Mere Criminals by Rottweiler(m): 9:58am On Jul 07, 2007
They are all criminals. Turning on your people and you claim to fight for the cause of the the Niger Delta? Kidnapping an old woman and kids? Bunch of criminals.

I understand why some of you are talking PUNK. You have not worked one day in your f**king life! You don't know what earning a living in Nigeria is all about. When you live under your dada and mama, what else should we expect from people like you. Dem go tire! Why won't you say that - you don't know what life if all about. Come back to Naija and earn a living you pimps! Have you ever stood for anything that is right in your life? NO! I just puke when clowns rap shit, I wish I could kick some asses into the sewage tank,

Ore wo ni o fe e?
Are telling us that you don't like him because he's a US citizen? I don't need no one to tell me to love my brother or sister. What's wrong with you? I think you got to grow up. My sister is a US citizen and I am not, why should I hate her because of that. I think you are just being unnecesarily jealous. Wake up and face reality.
Family / Re: What Kind Of Mother Is This by Rottweiler(m): 12:33pm On Jun 03, 2007
Please note that not all ladies/women should be called MOTHERS!
A mother takes care of her child(ren) all the time.
A mother anticipates danger.
Some can not even take care of themselves, talk more of a chicken. There are precautionary actions to be taken whenever we have kids around. Nobody should give me that bullsh*t that NO MOTHER WOULD WANT HER CHILD KILL. Do not expose your kids/wards to danger. Safety should be the watchword!
Events / Re: Bachelor's Eve Before Wedding Is It Necessary by Rottweiler(m): 12:18pm On Jun 03, 2007
How can bachelor's eve party be a waste of money for the bride and bridegroom? Don't understand. I have organised more than 5 BE parties and I know that it's the friends of the couple that contribute money to organise the function - not the couple! Infact, they don't spend a dime! Except you ain't got REAL FRIENDS.

Family / Re: Why Can`t We Have Separate Rooms? by Rottweiler(m): 12:03pm On Jun 03, 2007
Why do you want your own room and bed? Have you got something you would want to hide? Like a fetish pot or ,
I live in a 3-bedroom apartment. My wife has her own room but we sleep on the same bed every night, though the other room contains her personal effects. She has never slept on the bed in her room and I can't imagine me sleeping alone when she's in the same house with me!
Family / Re: It Is Present Day African Losing Family Values? by Rottweiler(m): 11:59am On Jun 03, 2007
MP007:

Anybody want to tell us about family values, i mean from the african perspective, I need tips, Is this generation lossing it?

Yes we are losing it gradually. This is one of the consequence of the world becoming a global village. Interaction between different cultures and race has become very easy with jet-age means of transportation and other technology. Parents are becoming too busy chasing money than bringing up their children in the right way. This is only the beginning!
Family / Re: Ever Lost Someone As Dear As Family? Come Light A Candle For Them Here by Rottweiler(m): 11:55am On Jun 03, 2007
I light candles for my late dad who died about a decade ago (dad all your kids are doing fine)

I light a candle for my dear friend, Christian Madagwa who died in a power bike accident in Lagos last year. RIP

I light a candle for my dear friend who slumped and died during a football session 2 years ago. RIP

I light a candle for my friend's wife (Chinyere) who was buried yesterday (June 2, 2007). RIP
Family / Re: Which Is Easier For Parents To Raise : Boys Or Girls by Rottweiler(m): 11:44am On Jun 03, 2007
It all depends on the parents. Your kids turn out the way you want them to. These days when parents don't even have time for themselves because they are chasing money that won't buy them peace. It's not the sex of the child that matters. Most parents end up discovering that they have been living with total strangers as kids because of business engagements! By then it's too late.
Family / Re: Can Marriage Survive Without Children by Rottweiler(m): 11:48pm On May 29, 2007
Back to the main topic. I can only speak based on my present situation. I love my wife and I am blessed with two kids so therefore, I am not qualified to speak on the issue. Only the couples desperately seeking the fruit of the womb can answer this question appropriately. They say, HE WHO FEELS IT, KNOWS IT.
Family / Re: Can Marriage Survive Without Children by Rottweiler(m): 11:44pm On May 29, 2007
I find it really funny when spinsters and bachelors would be commenting on issues bothering on marriage. Ain't they supposed to be quiet and learn from the experience of the married ones? People shouldn't just post comments because they want to accumulate time on nairaland.
Henceforth nairalanders should indicate their marital status and age before commenting on adult issues. grin
Politics / Re: May 29th The D-day? Will It Be Successful? by Rottweiler(m): 9:33am On May 24, 2007
The government had all the chance of averting this unfolding crisis. If only it had chosen the right man as the head of the electoral body. Someone who would not want his integrity tainted. If more than 60% of the population had experienced credible voting process, their voices would have drowned those of the aggrieved.
There are certain requirements stated in the electoral act before an election MUST take place. Were they met? Even the basic one of displaying voters registers before the election was not met! There is corruption of all sorts in high places. INEC claimed to have ordered for portable polling booths worth millions of Naira - how many of you saw the polling booths? I did not see a polling center in Rivers state, May the wrath of GOD come down all those preventing this nation from moving forward! May their family members share in their woes!

Whether you like the indians or not na your wahala. The issue is that a diplomat who, ordinarily should be above board, is found with such huge cash. The Indian government should keep the money.
Business / Re: Dangote, Otedola Buy Port Harcourt Refinery For N71.8bn by Rottweiler(m): 9:12am On May 23, 2007
They never wanted the refineries to work in the first place so that their importation contracts for refined products can continue to fetch them billions of Naira. They forget that the masses are not fools. I won't be surprised that the PH refinery which has been working below 50% of its capacity will suddenly start doing 99%. We are no fools. Now the militants have threatened to blow up the place, a threat that should not be taken lightly! The government is not addressing the fundamental issues that have given rise to another form of lucrative business outside oil bunkering - kidnapping. Now all sorts of criminals in the Niger Delta are kidnapping at will - who wouldn't want to make some easy millions? The other time it was an elderly woman that was kidnapped, not too long ago, a nursery school student fell victim. Let us continue to celebrate that they are buying up the place. One day na one day!

Clown, please understand my point. When we talk about 419, it's not just about asking an ignorant individual to send/bring money from abroad for something that is non-existent! When you go to a chemist to buy a drug like MIST MAG and what you get is ordinary chalk mixed with water, WHAT DO YOU CALL THAT? When you go to the spare parts shop to get brake pads for your car and what you get is ordinary rubber attached to the metal part of the pad, WHAT DO YOU CALL THAT? It's all 419 in the local parlance! I was only advising the gentleman. onyiberibe angry
Romance / Re: Will You Rather Be A Lesbian Than To Deal With Men Arrogance?. by Rottweiler(m): 3:50pm On May 13, 2007
The lesbian shit is spreading like wildfire. A lot of the girls I know are now into it. They even hold lesbian parties down south. I wonder what is going wrong. I was at a party 2 Fridays ago and while dancing with a girl I noticed another girl nearby was watching. Eventually she came close and whispered something in her ear. She said she wanted her. It's not only restricted to the singles, even the married ones are into it.

Romance / Re: My Ex-fiancee Has Siezed All My Certificates by Rottweiler(m): 2:50pm On May 13, 2007
@CKC
I blame you for all your misfortunes. A lot of guys come to PH and behave as if all the girls are cheap here, acting like you are smarter. For your info, I am not Ikwerre but from the southwest. Be truthful, what were the bad parts of your ex-fiancee that you did not know before? If you desire to have your credentials back, I would advise that you go negotiate with her. Whether you like it or not, you have no proof that she took the documents. She could as well destroy them and claim that she never saw them. Who knows if you are even telling us the truth. Was it that you dumbed her because you found a 'better' girl. Or maybe you even dumped her for her friend,

@swing4real
Are your people any better than the Ikwerres? Don't go condemning a people because of the misbehaviour of a few. Tell me what is really bad about the Ikwerres that you don't find else where? The main issue is selling land to several people. What about the omo oniles in Lagos, don't they do same? Please wake up and be mature.

I would invite MAKI because we live in Port Harcourt and have met before. I think I would also invite Seun but make sure he is ' bounced' at the gate just to get back at him. Any PH person in the house?
Religion / Re: Are Nigerians Truly Religious Or Mere Pretenders? by Rottweiler(m): 1:10pm On May 13, 2007
I would say that Nigerians are truly religious (ONLY WHEN THEY ARE IN WITHIN THE SIGHT OF THEIR PASTORS/PRIEST/CHURCH LEADERS). Just go to any church and watch them when they are leaving at the end of each service, they are so impatient, hunking for the car in front of them to just vanish, they see church members trekking under the rain but choose to just zoom off.
I have always said it that a lot of us are hypocrites.
Travel / Re: Is Aba Unsafe For Expats? by Rottweiler(m): 10:05am On May 13, 2007
A lot of Nigerians like to express themselves on issues that they don't even know anything about just to feel among. I can bet that the guy who gave the advice on Aba has not never been there before! YOU STAY IN YOUR TINY ENCLAVE AND GIVE JUDGEMENT ON WHAT YOU KNOW NOTHING OF! If I may ask: IS IRAQ SAFE? NO! But you have expatriates flocking there even against the advice of their home governments. You have the right to choose what you want, taking existing factors into consideration.
My Advice: Aba is relatively safe. It's about 30km from Port Harcourt and it's safer for expatriates than Port Harcourt is. Just be careful, because a few might try exploit you (419-wise) grin
