Dino is a product of our society. Love or hate, we produced him and his fellow politicians.

Selective enforcement of our laws is the main issue, because all level of govermnent do not readily obey court order in Naija. When the father of the house chooses which house rule to accept what will the children do? Are there punitive measure that can be evoked by the the NA or the Executive to compel the defaulting governors to obey court orders.

That is how democracy works, everyone respecting the rule of law. I have no comments on the outcome of the judgemement. To me it is irrelevant. I am always pro-process, pro-structure, pro-institutions. I don't care about the individuals involved. When we can all allow the Judiciary to exercise its full authority, make mistakes if necessary and learn from them while we learn to live by their decisions then we can all collectively seek to improve the quality of their services. Not before.
You made a good point on process and instutionalism, but we are not even trying to build one but create hatred for the state. Love and patriotism for the country is at the lowest ebb, people wishing to leave the country more than than ever.

The AGF isnt overstepping his bounds in my opinion. He has the power to prosecute the case if he chooses to because they're brraking federal law. He already cited the constitution and referenced supreme court cases on the matter.
So he just suddenly woke up to his duties or is the Amotekun thing causing bad belly. Let him take any of the APC state infringing on this law to court to make it look atleast that he is not witch hunting opposition states. If he gets judgement, that will be binding on all.

No one should be surprised by this move by APGA. I very much expected it, even those in PDP will soon, in mass move over to APC. Imo state HOA is the most useless one in Nigeria. A HOA that sacked 3 deputy governors under very laughable reasons.

Ararume and hope coming togther, two people of questionable cv. Imo is in trouble.

I don't really see why any reasonable person will insult others for the sake this politicians , there no differences between the parties. Same of same.

Am sure you don’t even have an idea how true federalism is run. The Federal government is just an over seer. Under federalism the state governors are the chief security of there states. Under federalism the states makes money and send it to federal government and he shares them according back to the states. Under federalism the President and governor have equal right to policing I.e the police are being shared by the states and the President but inlike ours if you call police for some emergency they will still have to inform Abuja for authorization. How can a criminal commit an offense in Lagos and be transferred to Abuja because he is a Notherner and they can help negotiate his release there. Go check how other countries run true federalism before coming here to talk about what you have no idea of.
Can you tell me the part of my comment that is contrary to what you have outlined above. May be you should check my others comment on this issue, it might give you a better insight to what i have said about amotekun and federalism.

Osagyefo98:
If they need any regional security, they should first of all push for constitutional amendment where security will be shifted to regions infact full restructuring.

So let them follow the right step and push for restructuring through constitutional amendment and insertion of referendum in the constitution.

If not so, then Amotekun is a nuisance and must be treated as such.
But each state involved can legislate at state level like the hisbah thing and have joint
and operational rules. The effectiveness of this body will subsequently push for state or regional policing restructure. Nigeria is a federating unit therefore, should provide for layers of policing system with checks and balancing built within. Same federal system is why we can have sharia law in somes states up north. Because our law has not been challenged at the court does not mean the the presidency or executive is absolutely correct. Who is afraid of true interpretation of federalism? The current system has become too restrictive to emerging developmental challenges. Let breakdown this political shackles so as to attain the level of development we desire.

Judgements are giving base on technicalities, even when votes are publicly rigged and provided signed off by returning officers, the result is valid. Once there is over voting, then something is wrong. But our judicial system is not one that seek to do forensic, therefore case can go either way.

The issue of Amotekun is just blown out of proportions. The issues and fears been raised will be taken care of and necessary legislation will be put in place. Let practise federalism the way it should be for the development of our country. Having layers of policing is part of federalism. All this bickering is unnecessary if we are sincere.

I have in two occasions on this platform raised the question on the corrupt baggage hanging on Uzodinma and his lack of the ability to govern my dearling state. But what one ignoramus could do is label me "Ipob miscreant ". Nigerians profile your so called leaders and make right choices. A man who could not execute project paid for at national level, will he execute project at state level, when he becomes supremo Imo state? Some people are blinded by party affiliation, than look at the person in question, party is just a vehicle to achieve positions, but what matters is the moral and intellectual capacity to hold the position. The thieves in PDP like uzodinma are now APC and corruption continued. And the subjugated masses who are at the receiving end will sit behind their computers and insult others over these thieves. For me, by virtue of the corruption cases, Uzodinma is not fit for the position, has any one seen his policy thrust? The leopard nevers changes it spots.

Hope Mbaka is aware that Hope Uzodinma is one of the NDDC contractors that failed to carry out projects after being paid? If he could do that as a contractor, I wonder how he will do now he's the one awarding contracts. One can't even point to any project he attracted to Orlu zone the 8 years he was our senator.
You have just said what I have been saying, people have not profiled this man and are busy jubilating based on politics of party. Some years later they all start wailing, just like they did with Okorocha. This man has nothing to offer. Until I see his policy trust and verifiable performance, then i can change my position.

Remind them also about Zamfara. Was it not Justice Tanko that handled entire Zamfara State to PDP? When he does no one called for his resignation or wail that democracy is in trouble. Now that it is their turn to be served in the same cup they are wailing and wailing and wailing....
Handle each case based on facts on ground. the mentioned states are not exactly the same, In election, it is all about people votes. where things don't add up elections are nullified and another held. I have read lots of comments here from both extremes, and what I see is that a lot of people lack sense of Judgement of what is right or wrong. What is the essence of accreditation? The Imo judgement is so obviously flawed, it left a lot of questions which even the Supreme court will not be able to give a convincing answer. This judgment will set a bad precedence especially when nothing is done to strengthen our election process. What it means is that INEC is a waste of resources.

He can probe even to 1999, what Imolites want is transparent leadership. And this leadership I don't see in him. The truth is majority of our people don't take time to profile those vying for positions. Hope Uzodinma has been involved in lot of corrupt issues plus returning stolen funds when the heat was turned on him. This man has efcc issue too which no one can tell whether he has been cleared. I dont want a fantastically corrupt person as my governor.
But if he is transparent and work for the people like Uncle Sam, he will surely be loved by all.

Way to go!

This is the time for all members of APC in the state to unite and support the new governor. Uzodinma must also be magnanimous in victory. He should learn from the mistake of Ihedioha who wasted the little time he had to govern Imo in pursuing Okorocha up and down. Power is transient and nobody knows tomorrow except Father Mbaka.

He should extend his hands of fellowship to all political opponents and bring everybody together to work for the good people of Imo state.

Congratulations to Uzodinma!
Congratulations to APC!!
Congratulations to all Imolites!!!
Work together will be difficult in Nigerian politics because we don't do government of national unity, it is winner takes all. Same way Okorocha became a Czar, had 3 deputies and silenced everybody in the state. That was why imolites were happy when Nwosu could not achieve Okorocha's aim.
I have no hope in Hope, beause I don't have confidence in him.

This guy is dumb. The court simply agreed that the results from 388 PU's where Hope Uzodinma won but we're not added to the tally (unlawfully). should have been added.
When the results from these 388 PU's were added, he had the majority of lawful votes cast and has also fulfilled all the other constitutional requirements. Therefore he is the winner.
Although the full judgement has not been made to the public but What should be in the mind of an objective person is
1. Why was it initially excluded.
2. Who excluded the results
3. Were the results signed off by the parties/inec
4. Were the results reconciled to voided votes
5. How come a massive 338 PU were excluded
6. Can the election materials be examined to affirm this results.
7. Could have be a posibility of a rerun election in those units.
8. What is lawful and unlawful result.

Electoral judgements in Nigeria will always leave much to be desired. Until we moved to more verifiable and a better reformed election process, we continue to have thieves govern us without fear of removal.

Iran should better thread with caution. Trump is not Obama o. Someone who promised to build a wall around Mexican border and also cut China to size. as stupid as those campaign promises sounded back then, Trump has already achieved them. He is no politician, he comes from a successful business background. Talk and do. Iran has emotionally talked itself into trouble. Saudi Arabia won't mind attacking US facility codedely and tag it on Iran as any attack on US in the middle East would be deemed an Iranian attack. The mumu egoistic ayetollah won't even want to deny it. Isreal is standing by the corner waiting for the slightest reason to go all out against iran. It's a terrible situation for Iran, they were over pampered by the Obama administration. When Sadam Hussain was alive who know Iran. Democrats made Iran feel like a world power by allowing them access to their frozen funds in exchange for halting nuclear advancement. Iran has been using those funds to fund terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and hamas and fight proxy wars against the US and Isreal. Thank God Trump has shredded d deal and impose heavy sanctions. Let's see where Iran will get d funds to prosecute a full scale war.
You made very important points in your comment. It will be foolishness and stupidity for Iran to start any skirmish with US, considering the role Iran is playing in accommodating and funding terrorism in that region and the world as a whole. The effect of any war with US will further put the Arab region in more sociopolitical and economic problems. So many countries in the Arab world, especially KSA and the west will relish the opportunity to put that government in check. They better not start what they cannot finish.

There are 2 factions of Boko haram.

One is loyal to ISIS and they are called ISWAP. These are the ones focusing more on Christians.

ISIS is a creation of USA which went out of control and began fighting them and have now gotten a foothold in Nigeria through ISWAP.

Muslims in the north do not have a holier than thou attitude and we have lived in peace with them for decades until BH began.

Before the oil boom it was agricultural produce from the north that built Nigeria and they never complained about that. Now since the oil boom we keep saying we cannot take from the south to develop the north when they did just that years ago with their agricultural produce.

Let us be fair to each other. Thank God you have close family who are muslims. If you cannot see radicalism in those ones who follow the same Quran why do you see it in other muslims who are not part of Boko Haram?

I am a Christian and i hate generalizations and love fairness.

USA is solely to blame for this ISIS/ISWAP current menace against Christians
When was proceeds from agriculture in the north used to develop south. Did you forget before Nigeria therefore was Lagos, north and south protectorate. Do you remember in history when the south was approached to borrow the north funds? So what happened to the revenue from cocoa, rubber and palm oil? What was built in the south with north agric revenue? And from what period? Please give details.
PoliticsRe: I Hope History Will Be Kind To Me – Buhari by 3Ceagle(m):
[quote author=prof12 post=85232595]Buhari remains the best president we have ever had by all standards. As human, he has his shortcomings but no one could deny he meant well for the nation; using small resources to achieve visible infrastructural developments, building institutions to checkmate looting, bringing corrupt politicians and judges to justice, jailing three former governors from his own party, repositioning Nigeria strategically in relation to our neighbouring countries. The list is endless. If you mean well for this country, you will support his effort and cheer him on[/]

For all his achievement, failure to unite Nigerians and uphold the rule of law is his most undoing. Will those in Benue remember him with fond memory? Key and most appointment to only his tribe in a country of many tribes. Someone built 3rd mainland bridge but history is still not kind to him. The future will tell. I wish him well.
PoliticsRe: Fowler's Fouls: What Tunde Fowler Did Wrong At FIRS By Faye & Fraser by 3Ceagle(m): 12:00pm On Dec 21, 2019
I have been informed by the seemingly crimes of fowler and the power play in the FIRS long before his exit. The truth is that fowler is not well grounded in taxation and the civil service procedure, but at that position you need a well grounded manager with great experiences surrounded by well experience tax officers. In Lagos, he used a lot of unethical method and also got himself very rich. No doubt that he increased our tax revenue but at same time he gradually destroy civil service procedures. If not that people cannot be sacked without civil service procedures he would have sacked so many persons and plug in more of his colleagues and friennds.
Therefore he just moved people out to less important function: send them to local areas and the training schools and distort promotion.
Imagine writing and passing the compulsory promotions exam but still remain at current position because people within are not moving.
Any persons conversant with the appointments of Buhari will not be surprised. Fowler was part of the sharing of positions between APC northern cabals and Tinubu, now Buhari has nothing to loose therefore he could change the agreement initially reached in 2015.
But truth be said most top government parastatals has northen domination, which were hitherto balance by Obasanjo.

Nigeria is not a country that is worth loosing ones life for. I personally will not live or work in the north now or in the future.

If I may ask, what did Buhari as a well respected person in the norther do in the early day of this monster to stop the misguided minds?

While he was out of power, as a respected northern leader, what projects and programme did he lead to improve education and eradicate poverty in the north?

What makes anybody think that Buhari will stop boko haram?

My personal opinion, I don't have the conviction to die for Nigerian project and would not want to wish anybody to die recklessly in this project of deceit.A country so rich but cannot provide basic needs of life.

Buhari won't be seeking for your vote in 2023 and has said that himself. He is a product of the old northern oligarchy. For those who have forgoting history, the emirs used to rule supreme and brutal to any contrary opinion, and that was why the colonial master prefer them to their counterparts in the south.

I am not surprised with the turn out of event, inshort I expected it. This a man who retired to his home in Daura, and never on his own championed any meaningful course for his people in the north other faning ambers of national disunity by his various religious and political comments.

NBA sounds like a broken record. Anything short of carrying out industrial action will not shake Buhari.

What we are withnessing is the main disadvantage of one party state. It ultmately make the head a supreme leader. All this grabbing of election results and political positions by one party will kill this country.

Who will bring Buhari to order, when he has placed puppets in the legislator and Judiciary. We warmed and they called everybody wailers.

Does supporters of this politicians be it APC or PDP forbid good life? I here them say oh we want peace, I hope it is not grave yard peace they want like the present oppressors in government.

I will never accept in totality the stories been released around and will not give words of support to any of the group. However, having listened to the Lawyer, our police system should have a better way of treating issues and not by show of force. we need an intelligent police who will carry out their duties with minimal effort.
