You cannot disconnect the the the book of Matthew from that of Isaiah . . . i simply used that example to show u how the term "sign" is used as regards to bible prophecy.

Simply because Isaiah says, "the Lord himself will give you [Ahaz] a sign. does not mean that sign would occur during the lifetime of Ahaz.

But Ahaz was long dead . . . why were these guys still expecting the sign?

we know that crucifiction could only be carried out by the Romans. Barnabas the jewish robber could only be crucified by the romans who also crucified the 2 thiefs with Jesus Christ that night.

To say that Romans could not step in and intervene in areas of jewish jurisdiction smacks of very poor scholarship or downright dishonesty. Why then did the jews send him to pilate?

1. Matthew's genealogy is that of Joseph not that of Jesus Christ (you will continue to make this same error because u desperately want to findn some contradiction).

2. There is evidence to prove that this curse was lifted. Jeconiah went on to have children.

1. Coniah is mentioned in Mathew as a descendant of Joseph.

2. Jesus Christ was NOT born of Joseph.

3. The genealogy of Jesus Christ was through Mary His mother and that is listed in the book of Luke 3.

4. Thus by virtue of Luke's account of Mary's genealogy, Coniah is NOT one of Jesus forebears.
