AllenSpencer:You're getting more and more ridiculous with each statement. 8% of blacks support Trump, same way less than 5% of Igbos supported Buhari, sometimes you must move away from HERD/SHEEP MENTALITY! 8 years of Obama and you spew this trash? 8 years and he couldn't make black lives matter more, 8 years and police brutality continued to rise, 8 years as a small business owner, we were taxed to death at almost 35%, 8 years and they still pumped drugs into black communities. Nobody is saying you have to like Trump or that Trump is a saint but for a white man, he has certainly not done bad for me. Now to the rest of your foolishness, Trump was expected to crumble everything, unemployment, stock market, every economic indices but guess what? Dude has met and/or surpassed expectations. Let me guess, you expect him to unite the nation and end police brutality right? If Obama couldn't do it, what makes you think Trump can? It's the classic Nigerian complex, you can't hold your own people accoutnable to you look for faults in outsiders. No matter how you try to spin this, Trump is doing great for people that voted for him, he is not a messiah and to hold him accountable for a virus or for civil unrest that has been happening since 2 decades now is just pure BULLSHIT! Finally, Obama was put in a bunker/lockdown also, so was Bill Clinton in the 90s, guess both presidents were wrong for the country BY YOUR ANALOGY..... ![]() |
Farki:Exactly, even with Sowore social media protests had little effect, it was his connections internationally that ultimately made the real difference. You've hit the nail on the head, these leaders just don't care and unfortunately most people just vote with herd mentality. |
ibkayee:You think people are not aware of the problem? You think majority of Nigerian men and women don't know that rape is bad? Awareness is not the problem, enforcement is what's missing! We have laws in 9ja but if you're rich or religiously connected, you can beat it! This is the difference with advanced countries, rape still happens over there but 90% of the time, the culprits are dealt with with the maximum pressure of the law. |
ibkayee:Can you name one positive change that such protest in 9ja has accomplished in the last 6 or 7 years? COZA, Sowore, El-Zhakky, Kanu,SARs etc? |
AllenSpencer:Oh so let me get this straight, you hold Trump accountable for a biological virus? What do you mean where is the stock market now, it is doing as well as expected, it took a few losses but has bounced right back, so what's your point? Give kudos to Obama for bailing out rich banks and stabilizing the country no doubt but what exactly did it do for black lives? Did black lived matter more? Did police brutality stop? Did businesses thrive? You want me to hail a black man for being mediocre but to criticize a white man for maintaining the status quo? Mehn you niggas are RIDICULOUS! |
pbs4real:Yea America needs more failures like him, I wouldn't mind seeing this type of failure in 9ja ![]() |

What does that have to do with his achievements and campaign promises? No one is saying he's a saint or not wicked but this nigga is loyal to his base! |
I see this as a total waste of time, you are better off arming women with pepper sprays, knives and even a gun than useless protest on social media that will have ZERO effect on the situation. Women were raped in 1990s, in the 2000s, in 2010s and 2020s will remain the same. |
AllenSpencer:My friend keep shut my personal 401k has risen over 650% since 2016, if you need statistical evidence search Google, no one has time for your sentimental crap! Stock market in 2016 was about 18,000, now it is about 26,000. For veterans here's a link: https://rebootcamp.militarytimes.com/news/transition/2019/01/17/trump-recently-signed-two-veterans-bills-into-law-heres-how-theyll-affect-you/ DO YOUR RESEARCH MAN & STOP ARGUING BLINDLY! |
pmoye:My friend keep quiet, are you saying white people don't face discrimination also? We have more white people on welfare than blacks and a rich nigga like Jayz will command respect 90% of places he visits. A successful black professor, doctor or professional in America has less chance of being racially discriminated than a drug seller, a gangsta or hoodrat. Police brutality is one thing, a white woman like Karen calling cops on blacks is one thing but to paint it all under one brush and say the system is unfair to blacks alone is pure bullshit! Life ain't fair, people are going to be treated unjustly at some point but if you always look at yourself as a victim then that's what you'll be! |
AllenSpencer:He never campaigned on a united America, any president that says that is only fooling him or herself. Yes he said Mexico was going to pay but they didn't, he also said he was going to do tax reform, keep the stock market soaring, unemployment low, get out of bad trade deals, tear up the Iran nuclear deal, pull out of climate change agreement, take care of veterans and deal with illegal immigration. He has achieved over 70% of his campaign promises and for any politician, this is EXCELLENT! P.S. As a black man in America, my evaluation of Trump is strictly against what Obama did for us, so far Trump looks more like a black nigga than Obama. My paycheck, my 401k, my businesses all of them shows the orange man is actually good for successful black niggas like myself. |
AllenSpencer:The difference is Trump is doing exactly what he campaigned on, he is pleasing his base which means half the country will be unhappy. Buhari just don't give a f*ck, Baba is flexing while everyone is perplexed ![]() |
ednut1:You're right, which shows us there's this basic instinct among all Nigerians to be separated rather than to unite. We look for every possible method/way to be different/better than our neighbors. Even the struggling ones with their small generators forming I better pass my neighbor ![]() |
madridsta007:The Indians are more disrespected than you know, they only use them when they are useful but to the US community at large, Indians are seen as gas station owners. The Chinese the same way, they are seen as really smart dudes but socially they are mocked. Nigerians in the USA are also hailed in certain sectors especially sport medicine and cultural schemes. Racism in America is beyond just whites, it's beyond just one nation, it is a mixture of conscious and unconscious bias. In fact, here in 9ja we are guilty of racism as well because tribalism is the offspring of racism. In the USA, you ask a black man are you african, he'll say no, I don't come from Africa, I'm African American, I'm Carribean, I'm Jamaican, they'll say anything to separate themselves from their true origin. This is what gives racism so much power, lack of identity and unity, a country like Nigeria cannot and will not bring unity when it is divided in itself. Can you expalin what unites us? What does a Yoruba man have in common with a Fulani woman? What does an Edo woman have in common with someone from Bauchi? We are only Nigerians by name, what divides us is much much more than what actually unites us, it was a mistake from the start and honestly I see no path forward except mutual disintegration or forceful revolution. NIGERIA IN IT'S CURRENT FORM IS NOT THE HOPE OF THE BLACK RACE! |
madridsta007:You were on the right path till you mentioned Nigeria...lol. Nigeria was and can never be a unifier. Look at us, 250 different ethnic groups, zero PATRIOTS! Abeg let's try Jamaica or another country with a unified voice. |
Drenimarcus:Hopefully we can teach our kids to do better and hope that their kids would unite the black race.....Our own generation is already far gone especially Nigeria. |
Here's my observation and analysis. Can you name the richest nation on earth? You'll be shocked to know it is not a country where the primary ethnicity is white. Money can only get you so far and to think African countries are not rich is just a fallacy. Nigeria, South Africa and even Egypt are richer than countries like Denmark, Vietnam, Serbia, Greece and many more but you won't know this due to corrupt leaders and wastage. We as Africans are very wasteful people, most of our budgets are spent on recurring expenditures, we earmark Billions for a particular strtch of road and 2 to 4 years later we allocate the same for the same road. We build refinieries but they are not functional, Nigeria produces crude oil but must pay outside countries to refine it for us. We import everything from matches to tomato paste and rice. When you calculate the amount of money recovered from Abacha's loot alone, it is enough to develop half the country fully but guess what, IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! We vote in clueless and wicked leaders yet we raise our eyebrows when a black man is treated wickedly by a person of another color? Your own compatriot is robbing you blind yet you are more worrried about people on the other side. Back to reality, the issue of racism is beyond money, in the USA we have more white people on food stamps and welfare than blacks, we have more white people living a wretched life than blacks but you won't know unless you look deep. MONEY is good but MINDSET is even better! Black Americans and blacks all over the world must see the light, we must realize knowledge is power and when you have that power silently take over things, learn how to acquire properties, how to move up within a company or create one of your own. Racism will never end, it is a constant like sunrise and sunset but what can be changed is our own mindset, the ones that are wich or financially okay among us should support those struggling, let's learn from the Jews, after the Holocaust, they tightened their belts and came toghether. From destruction to resurrection, there's nothing stopping us from doing the same if only we can learn to love one another. Like someone said earlier, THE BLACK MAN'S BIGGEST ENEMY IS THE BLACK MAN! |
AreaFada2:It's simple, judge not so that you won't be judge, admonishing someone for supporting Trump or even insinuating that because they support Trump they have no business preaching the gospel is just plain silly. No one here is defending Trump but who are you to judge? What moral authority do you have? You can write all the rubbish you want on nairaland but you'll still remain insignificant, in the grand scheme of things you're lower than dirt, as a human being you matter as much as the p in psychology, so once again I ask? WHO THE F*CK ARE YOU? |
ethicallyright:My friend shut the f*ck up, people have a right to support whomever they choose, even Christ defended a prostitute so what's your problem? |
Lostz:Abi o, these kids forming fake wokeness over lies ![]() |
jacksonkennedy:Please name how it benefitted black lives in the USA? Please be specific because I will enjoy tearing your points to pieces ![]() |
jacksonkennedy:Little girl, you're way out of your league! Can you tell me how 8 years of a black president helped black lives to matter in the USA? Can you name 2 good things Obama did specifically to make the lives of blacks better in the USA? I was writing my second thesis for my third masters when I had a chance to meet a renowed historian/political genius, if you only knew how US politics operated you would delete the nonsense you wrote above and thank God lightning has not struck you down. Myopic? Conservative party supported Jim Crow laws? Wrong again, it was actually the democratic party, the Republican party was the party of Lincoln, you know the guy that freed the slaves...lol. LEt's also not forget, under which presient was the largest amnesty for illegal immigrants? Ronald f*cking Reagan, under which party? Republican! See when it comes to talking about black lives, the Democrats are excellent speechwriters and debaters but when it comes to actually doing something good for black people, history shows only one party has the balls and that is the Republican party, so shove your ignorant misoinformed uneducated ass up! |
fk001:You still don't get it do you? Trump can tweet whatever he likes, the command of the police is under the Governor of each state, stop being a asswipe and get it through your thick skull! |
fk001:Trump does not give orders to the police, he does not pay their salaries, he cannot fire or hire them so stop being ridiculous, this is not 9ja! |
fk001:No, armed forces is military only, police is run by the state and are answerable to the Governors. |
fk001:The president is Chief Commander of the Armed Forces, so your analogy stinks! |
membranus:Ogbeni keep shut, your spirit did not direct you about Buhari na Trump be your concern....goat! |
jacksonkennedy:I'm a black man in America and share this same opinion. It's the reason many people stay away from CNN and Foxnews, no more objectivity the bias is so strong! |
chuxyfranklin:It's easy to dream a dream but so much harder to live it. |
Titi03:Let's not sugarcoat things, we all know majority will be blacks and latinos, it has happened so many times that it is nothing new, Baltimore, Florida, Chciago and so on. It's the reason why it is hard right now to differentiate between police doing their jobs and those who take things too far. The outrage in this particular case is justified but why loot stores? Destroy properties? Would this make black lives matter? I doubt it! |
kalu61:I have learned not to argue on Nairaland blindly but to use the arguer's words against him/her. Here's your direct quote: Politics does not recognize ethics but interest. I can bet my balls that US is never after the ethics of AFDB but her interest like wise Adesina must have been after the interest of Africa counties too.I'm done arguing with you! |
kalu61:You're full of assumptions and sentiments which is opposite of how truly enlightened folks reason. So US is after its own interest but Adesina is looking out for Africa and cannot possibly be corrupt? Wow I admire your faith, almost reminds me of the Sai Baba shouters in 2014 ![]() |
