CheapHomes1:This movie has played before, remember GEJ? Very humble nice guy, he believed cuddling with the North would win him some favors but they chewed and spat him out! Obi without the backing of a large political party will be like suya with plenty of pepper.....Delicious! |
anungangampu:Ask yourself, are you God? I seem to remember we said the same thing about Buhari, even rumors of his death and cloning flourished online and here on Nairaland. Furthermore, are you not being snetimental? What husband/father would have the network and sway of Tinubu and not want the best for his wife and children? You wey dey type all holy holy, if your dad was Dangote would you be content stuck in a cubicle or would you want a title befitting of your relationship? Let's leave sentiments aside, the choice is between 3 candidates, I emphatically REFUSE to vote for Atiku hence I only have two candidates to consider, perhaps in a time and world where Nigeria was stable someone like Obi could govern but this Nigeria, this one wey we dey see so requires a MAD MAN! It requires someone tht is feared by both friends and enemies. See I'm not delusional to think one man can fix Nigeria or one man can turn one naira to one dollar but I am very confident in the caliber of people Tinubu can bring into government. I am very confident that this man can open up the economy in ways we can only imagine. For all the criticism about chopping from Lagos State for 15 years, what was Lagos before? Who had the vision to turn wasteland into a vibrant city? Who had the vision to make the state self sufficient? Even the Obi that many keep shouting was found with offshore accounts and more after he left his position as governor. I'm not looking for a saint, I'm looking for someone that will get down and dirty, someone that would remove the roadblocks that has crippled the Nigerian economy.....CHOP MAKE I CHOP.....THIS IS THE MOTTO! |
CheapHomes1:Whether we like it or not, we have been presented with 3 bad choices, out of all of them I would pick Tinubu not because he's a saint but because he's the path to the least chaos. Obi is a good guy but good guys don't last in Nigeria. |
anungangampu:How does that help him with managing a country as troublesome as Nigeria. The argument was that Tinubu's experience in Lagos is not the same as tackling Nigeria. So how does a man that has only governed Anambra be more equipped to tackle the demon called Nigeria? Unless you are saying age trumps all other attributes? When it comes to intelligence, Obi can only wish he has the mental and emotional capacity of Jagaban, experience comes with age and years of dealing with numerous politicians with high egos. Someone mentioned security and I think this should be a major focus, if the cabals in the North could frustrate GEJ a man that gave them everything, why wouldn't they frustrate someone like Obi with even less structure and experience with our Northern neighbors? See anyone that believes one man can change Nigeria is obviously delusional, we need a president that can play dirty and at the same time open up the economy with investments and international support, we need a president respected across political parties and structures. We need someone that they won't be frustrated by the Legislative branch of governemnt, unless you're banking on most members of the Legislative to decamp to Labor party or perhaps Obi would join PDP again after winning? ![]() |
anungangampu:You have successfully killed the other candidates as well . For Obi, Anambra is not Nigeria, even worse it does not have the same weight as Lagos hence it would be way over his head. For Atiku, it is a matter of principle, he's older than Tinubu, a Northerner which would mean 12 years of continous Northern rule and a person must be exponentially bad if the likes of Obasanjo made sure he had no chance of contesting. When we criticize or argue, let's make sure we do so objectively, if this was an advanced country, your points basically means none of the candidates are qualified which renders your premise illogical! |
jmoore:Here's your logic: An embryo/fetus equals a fully formed baby......OLODO ![]() Since 97% of all abortions occur before 24 weeks of gestation. Your analysis would have been more applicable if you said you put a 3-23 weeks old fetus into an incubator and expect it to produce a fully grown healthy baby....Your mumu never do? Stop exposing your ignorance! |
You dey craze! |
Like everything else on Nairaland, the main topic is overshadowed by bigots, tribalistic bickering and child like behaviors.....Spits ![]() |
jmoore:Can the embryo survive without the woman? Ori e ti gbale(Your head don knack ground)! |
jmoore:You're not making sense, how can you tell if a miscarriage is deliberate or not? Even leading experts in the health field acknowledges that miscarriage can occur due to many reasons and at times it is no fault of the woman but you being the Sherlock Holmes of pregnancy believe it is deliberate? Put down that weed bruh! The baby in the womb is not part of a woman's body? COME AGAIN? PARDON? OLODO ![]() |
jmoore:Apples to oranges, terrorism, armed robbery affects others, you are comparing it to something that affects the woman's body, HER BODY! You are still not answering my question, what happens when women are forced to carry a pregnancy and then they deliver the child then turn around not wanting anything to do with it, is the government foing to force those women to raise the babies or would the orphanage continue to get over populated with little to no funding? How many donations have you made to the orphange? Have you adopted any child or are you still a child yourself? You keep shouting abortion is murder, I just agve you ways in which an abortion won't even look like an abortion. Is your government going to start prosecuting women for miscarriages? DON'T BE SILLY! |
jmoore:When last have you visited an orphanage? I can bet my last kobo that donating to the orphanage is an after thought for you. There's one thing that is clear, you can't force anyone to raise a child and if people kept dumping newborns at the orphanage, even Nigerian government will start pleading for mercy. When a country makes safe abortion unlawful guess what happens? Women turn to quacks and chemicals for abortion. The law might ban abortion but it says nothing about drinking a bottle of gin for 3 night straight, it says nothing about smoking heavily or over stressing to the point of miscarriage......THINK AM WELL, if women truly wanted to abort, there's nothing any law can do about it! |
jmoore:Yet when the lady or guy begs for money online to feed his or her children, you and your kind would either ignore or make jest of them. which is better dying as an embryo or coming to this world only to die of hunger/poverty? |
TheGoodJoe:In 1999 forms were submitted in error, he admitted the mistake and corrected it. In 2003 the correction was allowed and the court threw out Gani's case on the same issue. So here we are in 2022 and you believe a case of perjury can be made? Thank God say you no be lawyer, your clients for don wipe you cord for neck ![]() |
TheGoodJoe:Unfortunately for you, the Nigerian Constitution only requires evidence of school cert or above for presidential candiadates, a university degree is certainly above school cert hence INEC does not have a choice but to accept. |
PaChukwudi44:Yet he was allowed to contest in 2003 and Gani's case was thrown out twice for the same thing. Goodluck finding a competent court to entertain such a silly case ![]() |
PaChukwudi44:You're the dumbass that can't read, the case was already thrown out under Gani, what exactly are you accusing him of now? Guy left the controversial part blank, you can't perjure when you intentionally left something blank, what part of this don't you understand professor? Stick to bb9ja, clearly this concept is too much for you to grasp! |
Brendaniel:That's the spirit! |
Miracle2020:Which law did he break? Surely you're not thinking something from 1999-2003 will land him in jail in 2022.....No be juju be that? ![]() |
Simplythebest:Me sef wey dey yankee dey buy fuel at 250% more than its usual cost, I'm sure na Buhari cause am too.....That Buhari's badluck dey reach everywhere.....MAD O ![]()
|
PaChukwudi44:Perjury of what? Of his INEC forms from 1999 or 2003? The only way he would have perjured himself is if he actually filled out primary and secondary schools on the INEC forms. How would the case go? Your lordship, Mr. Tinubu said he went to primary and secondary schools on his 1999 forms but left it blank in 2022 Mumu case! |
Miracle2020:You believe Tinubu dey go prison, damn son that cheap weed don finally finish you ![]() |
jamace:Local, state and national, na INEC dey conduct elections. The issue was already cleared by INEC in 2003 hence any further attempt now is a fool's errand. You gerrit? |
Miracle2020:You don't know what you're talking about! |
Brainbusting:List of graduates is public knowledge but educational and professional history is subjected to privacy regulations. E.g. The school publishes list of graduates each year but cannot disclose where the students attended previously or their grades. |
PaChukwudi44:Which bone of contention? Case that was already thrown out twice. Haven't you heard of double jeopardy in law? This one would be triple jeopardy, I suggest una stop wasting time with sentiments and attack him based on health and his economic plans rather than certificates and religion. |
Brendaniel:Well you are free to do your research and pursue it legally, I'm only speaking on practicability and not what ifs and buts. Point of correction, it is not your right to know, the Nigerian Constitution has not given you such rights, even in the USA there are some things hidden to the public, only those vigilant enough to research actually gets to know 50% of what truly goes on. So either do your research or forget about it, let your vote do the talking! |
Miracle2020:The problem here is that legally he cannot be prosecuted for a case that has already been thrown out so what would be INEC's justification? Remove sentiments and speak legally, when the court already declared him innocent what else can you argue? |
Brendaniel:Well he has chosen not to disclose that, person said he did not attend you're saying he dropped out. All that matters is what is on INEC form. He left it blank, BLANK! |
Brendaniel:What business would ask for your primary school? The higher your credentials the less the lower education certificates matter. I have a Ph.D and you will never see secondary/high school on my Resume/CV. Make una leave sentiments, the man said he did not attend primary and secondary schools, so be it! Here are the requirements to contest for president in Nigeria: Eligibility They are a citizen of Nigeria by birth; They have attained the age of 35 years; They are a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; They have been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent. As long as Tinubu can prove that he has a university degree, he is fully eligible to contest, make we leave story for the gods! |
ufotunang:We voted for person with Ph.D, he behaved like person wey no go secondary school, we voted for person wey no go school, he proved to us that truly he no go school, so what's the difference? Other countries dey debate about economic and fiscal plans yet Nigerians dey argue over certificates and religion......No be juju be that?
|
addictiv:Like I said earlier, if the high commission approved his request via the letter, then it is also culpable. One thing I know about UK and US government is that rather than embarrass themselves they would issue a ruling that removes such possibility. There's no way you can exploit someone that offered a product or service willingly, you have to prove that the victim did not know of the procedure and was coerced, a good lawyer would have the case thrown out. The biggest issue is the age, once that is resolved, it becomes a more defensible case. |
